Bickford Senior Living

So far things have gone very well with Bickford of Peoria! It is a nice looking, nice smelling, clean, well kept community. The staff are friendly, and they're very attentive to the needs of the residents, they respond quickly to call buttons, and they're just very compassionate in general. I also thought that the sales staff that I worked with were very friendly and professional! This place was a big step up from the previous community we had been using, and my loved one really seems to enjoy herself here!

We are having great results with Bickford of Greenwood. The facility is wonderful, and the staff there is great. It was our fourth move for mom this summer, and the first day that I took mom in there the main nurse hugged her and said she was so happy for her to be there. I have just been overwhelmed with how awesome they have been, and I would very highly recommend Bickford of Greenwood.

It's really, really, super here. They have a lot of entertainment to keep them busy. Everyone has been really, really, nice. It's a nice unit, I like the little apartment. The food is really good. I liked the building and the staff. I liked that there was a lot of activity here, some of the places I looked at, there wasn't really anyone around.

The Bickford staff was able to accomodate us when Mom suddenly needed care and supervision. We knew on our first visit that this was the best atmosphere.....a difficult decision to make, no matter what the situation. The staff always responded to my calls or e-mails, sometimes even calling me just with an update. Other facilities may have sufficed, but we were immediately comfortable and confident with our decision to choose Bickford. Even she said "It feels a lot like home."

We are amazed by Sunrise. Every single person we have met who works there is helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and kind. The care is excellent and they have made sure to get B. (my mother-in-law) involved in activities. Direct quote from B.: "there is something to do here every hour of the day; if you're bored, it's your own fault!" Staff makes sure she gets to all meals and activities, and that she is safe at night. B. has literally come back to life by moving into Sunrise. The attention, socialization, medical care and awareness of condition, the lovely surroundings and the small community feeling (there are only 50 residents) have all combined to make this the best choice we could have made for my 88-year old parent. The other important area: communication. When we call her direct line, if she doesn't pick up it rolls to the front desk. The person answering always seems to know exactly where B is and what she's up to (imagine our surprise when we called the other day and the receptionist told us, "Oh, she went to Schmidt's for lunch"! } Medical staff is also very good at keeping us up to date on her condition, ordering physical therapy, advising consultations for various issues. I am so thankful that B. is living at Sunrise.

They have been excellent. We are very appreciative of them. It's kept clean, and the staff is friendly. I think the value is just as good as everything else. The food is good, and there are plenty of activities. We are very happy with them.

Brighton Gardens is friendly, caring and most of all a safe place for my parents. The care has been exemplary.

They are doing a very good job. It's clean, and the staff is friendly, and attentive. I did have some issues in the beginning getting medications straight. I don't think that was really their fault but more on the doctors, and I think we have gotten it straightened out now. The only thing that would be better is if they could take medicaid.

Beautiful facility. Mr. Heath was very helpful. Might be too expensive for my dad.

Love it! The food is delicious and the staff went the extra mile to make sure all my Dad's needs we're met. It's a lively place, I just hope it's around when I become a senior citizen.

They are working well. I don't have any complaints so far. We haven't had a whole lot of experience with it, but so far it's going well.

The experience has been good. It's very clean and the staff is extremely friendly. Penny the nurse is awesome, and both Amy's at the front desk. They have her out and doing stuff which is so nice. She has complained about the food not tasting good or being cooked to her liking. When I walk in they have music playing and every time I walk in I think of a funeral home. I liked the layout, and how homey it felt, and how nice it was on both the outside and the inside of the place, it didn't feel clinical.

Took another pop in tour. Employees were warm and friendly. Mom loved it. The location is perfect. We may need the military discount if mom decides to move. The 30 day trial move in is valuable.

A Great Place. We both lived in the assisted living area for two months before my wife needed to move to the memory care unit.

There needs to be better clarification about doctor services. We had conflicting reports about if they had a doctor available or if we needed to provide our own. The food is absolutely fabulous. There is enough parking. Another thing, and it’s a pure safety feature – they change the codes all the time and when we visit we have to wait for the staff to let us in or out.

So far we have no problem. It seems to be working out great. The people are great. Definitely look into this community. Everyone cares. Meals are good. It’s just been a really great experience so far.

The only reason we chose another community was that there was just more light at the other one, but this one was also very nice, very good. It was lovely, very lovely, but just a little less like home, but we really liked this community.

I'm extremely happy with the care my loved one is getting here. The facility itself is very nice looking, clean, and well kept, and the staff have all been great to work with. The marketing person we worked with, Ray, has been a huge help through the whole process. Originally we wanted a facility slightly closer to where we lived, but when we toured Sunrise of Bexley we knew it would be somewhere we would be comfortable placing our loved one.

We are having a really good experience here. My dad is diabetic and the nurses have his blood sugar under control. We haven't seen him this healthy in a long time. I can't say enough about the nurses and aids.

We were looking for an assisted living community that had memory care available for my mom. We visited several care facilities but Sunrise stood out. Sunrise of Worthington felt more like a home and not a nursing facility. The experienced staff is very attentive to my mom's needs and very friendly as well. Sunrise also promotes social interaction between the residents through planned activities each day. I have already seen some improvement in my mom as she enjoys the interaction with people her own age.
