Bethel Communities

I am writing this review for my new arrived 70 year old cousin who is unable to care for herself, but still able to live somewhat independently. Moving is considered a major stressor for any of us; however, for those in cognitive decline, the process is scarier and more confusing. My cousin moved into the Enhanced Housing Unit (EHU) since it provides a more structured, hands-on level of care. She loved the look of Glen Arden, much like an upscale hotel located on a beautiful 41 acre tract of rolling hills. She is receiving compassionate, professional care in an active community with exercise, movies, and many other things to do. One big plus is the facility has a transport van so residents can get out and about if they choose to do so. The Admissions Staff goes above and beyond to help ST settle in. The clinical Staff are all communicative and easy to work with, and since I am out of town this is important. Definitely worth a visit if your family needs this.

What we like the most about Glen Arden is the size of our loved ones room, it is large and based on the experience we have had so far we would recommend this community to others

My mother lived at Bethel Springvale Inn for 5 years. The staff is incredible and always went above and beyond when caring for her. The rooms are spacious but required some updating which was all done with the recent renovations. It’s an attractive living community and I highly recommend it.

My loved one is a resident at Glen Arden and she is extremely happy there. They are all incredibly nice and she loves the staff. They truly look out for the people who live there and treat them like family. It is always spotless there and always smells great. Her laundry is done regularly and her room is cleaned all of the time. My loved one has said many times that she feels very fortunate to live there. She's engaged and enjoys the activities and is making friends- it's the best of everything.

I became a resident in September of 2005. Through the past 19 years I have participated in many activities from exercise to offer in our residents assoc. Our housekeeping staff has kept my apt healthy and clean. Maintenance the same. Meals are healthy. I feel safe and cared for here at Glen Arden CCRC. Orange County, NY has always been my home. You can be the favorite grandparent at Glen Arden, living next door to Legoland. I feel that by deciding to move here widow, age 72 yrs, I will be able to become part of an aging community and thrive! I am "upright and mobile."

My friends Mom lives in this community. She moved in about 7 months ago after losing her husband. She is thriving in this environment. She lives independently, has transportation if she needs it and lives amongst some really nice people. She has a better social life than I do. I had dinner with her and the food was delicious. The place was spotless. I used a public restroom while I was there and it was immaculate. Her apartment has housekeeping and it had been done that day and it was spotless. The employees I interacted with really cared for the residents I saw during my stay. I am not old enough to live here yet, but will consider this. There are new owners managing this property and the renovations are beautiful. Most importantly my friends Mom is really enjoying living here.

We love it, and my mom loves it, which is the most important thing. I would absolutely recommend other families go check it out. They've been absolutely wonderful, from the director [name removed], who gave us the tour, to the fabulous social worker director. The care has been excellent. And they have a variety of activities going on all the time - things like singing, dancing, arts and crafts, movies, and they bring in people like musicians for entertainment.

I toured the facility for my mother and found the staff I encounterd to be professional and helpful. The entry way was welcoming. The facility appeared clean, the staff friendly, the rooms during the tour were clean and brightly lit. I have not decided on a facilty to date; just trying to get a feel for what's available for her needs and most affordable.

As an Eldercare Professional, I have experience with many assisted living facilities in the area. If you are looking for a homey, clean, affordable place to live for your loved one you should definitely look here. What stands out for me is the staff. They are very responsive to any issue or concern. They know each resident well, and go above and beyond in making sure that they provide a safe environment with lots of hands-on oversight and services. The families I work with who have loved ones here are very pleased. I have no hesitation recommending The Bethel Springvale Inn.

I have been reluctantly considering assisted living for my 90 year old mother. As her finances are limited, finding quality care is a challenge. After visiting Bethel, I came away feeling like living there would be a feasible and desirable option! I was impressed with the small size, the rooms, and the cozy and comfortable living spaces. In addition, there is plenty of natural light and windows with views of trees and grass as well as a courtyard. There seem to be viable care plans as needs increase and there is an in-house community of doctors as well as a few shops on the lower level. While we are still undecided about taking this step, I feel that Bethel would provide the caring community that she needs.

My brother asked my assistance in finding an assisted living community. Springvale Inn is a treasure. It’s reasonably priced with not just all the services he needs, but a fantastic staff who don’t just do jobs, but CARES for each resident with exceptional care and attention. I know my brother is being cared for and about by these professionals and concerned people. Springvale gave me the best present ever, peace of mind that my beloved brother is being watched over.

My tour of Bethel Springvale Inn was exceptional. I was met by a friendly receptionist, followed by a competent, knowledgeable and responsive Community Relations Director. I was shown room options, pricing packages, tour of the complete facility, including the dining hall with the menu for the day. I was informed of activities available to residents, and upcoming improvement projects. The tour of the facility along with the professionalism I have been shown has been instrumental during the difficult process of choosing an Assisted Living Facility.

We had a great tour at The Bethel Springvale Inn. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I had a great experience with the receptionist and staff upon walking in. We are looking forward to the renovations of this lovely community.

The Bethel is a wonderful location that fits a need in the hudson Valley. The staff is friendly. The natural light for the common areas allow for nice views of the trees as they turn green in the spring and change in the fall. Always look at the Bethel for you relatives' or clients' assisted living and long term care needs.

[Name removed] was helpful and courteous. He answered my email to request a tour immediately. He was knowledgeable and kept going on with the tour even though my mom was adamant and rude the whole time because she is being resistant. So it was very awkward for everyone involved but [name removed] kept going.

Needed to move my Mom from a rehab facility to an assisted living facility ASAP, and Springvale met all our needs in an exceptional manner. Quickly able to move her furniture and clothing in and then move her in. [Name removed] came to the rehab and set up all the paperwork with my Mom.

We had a wonderful impression touring this community. The residences are spacious and comfortable and the common areas were nicely appointed and well-kept. The tour was very pleasant and all of our questions were answered.

You can tell that this is an older building, but there seem to be some improvements. It is very affordable., for the size of the rooms. It also seems like they are able to handle a higher level of care for their residents.

Comfortable and affordable. Not be missed in the Croton area. Spacious, inviting and great place to settle for permanent stay. Competent and willing team, ready to please. [Name removed] in marketing and admissions is outstanding.
