Elmbrook Village was an excellent choice for my mom. She was just there five months as she recently passed away. I would rate them 5 in all categories. They are quick to resolve any identified problems or concerns I would highly recommend

The apt is very spacious. The staff is very attentive and always helpful. The food is adequate with healthy choices always available.

I would give Stonebrook 5 stars in every category. Every time I visit my mother, I am grateful that she is there. The staff—including the director, head of marketing, and nurses—have offices just off the lobby, and they are often there when I arrive, along with one of the very friendly receptionists. They always greet me with a smile and say hello by name, which makes me feel very welcome. The facility is always clean, bright, and tastefully decorated for the current season or holiday. There is also beautiful and interesting artwork throughout the hallways that makes the entire community feel warm and inviting. My mother fell and broke her hip in April. When she returned to Stonebrook after rehab, the staff was incredibly supportive. They helped arrange the services she needed to get back on her feet and return to independent living. I was very impressed with the care and attention she received during that transition. She has a deluxe one-bedroom apartment that is spacious, filled with natural light, and includes a lovely balcony where she can sit outside when the weather is nice. There are always at least six activities going on each day, with a wonderful variety that accommodates different interests and ability levels. There is truly something for everyone. When my mother has visitors, they are welcome to join her for a meal in the dining room. The food is very good, there is a nice selection of choices, and the wait staff is consistently courteous, caring, and attentive. I have recommended Stonebrook to many people and would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming, caring, and engaging community for a loved one. I feel very fortunate that my mother is there.

This was my first tour of an assisted living residence. What a wonderful and beautiful place to live. There are so many activities to choose from including exercise classes and different crafts. Or you can relax with a book or chat with a friend.

We couldn't be more impressed with the friendly staff, cleanliness, food, apartment size, facility and activities. They made it incredibly easy from our first visit to moving in and beyond. Highly recommend it.

People were friendly facility was clean quiet outside in the woods, which is awesome. The person that gave us The tour was great very informed. It was very interesting Seeing all the amenities that you have there. The lunch was great. All the activities would sure keep people busy if that is what you want. Like the idea of a nurse on board 24/7. The trips that are offered are numerous as are the activities. Love the idea of the gym. Love the cleaning once a week. Like I can have my car and it gets cleaned off after a snow. Not crazy about the entrance fee or the high pet fee. Could be less.

Our experience with [name removed], the sales director, was fantastic. From our initial phone conversation to the welcoming video we received to the interview and tour, [name removed] was congenial, informative and professional. She was able to answer all of our questions and help ease our anxiety with her comforting manner. Hillsbrook is at the top of our list and as soon as our loved one’s status is determined we will be contacting [name removed] again.

Beautiful, everyone was super friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. The facility was spectacular! I am a bit “sticker shocked “ at the cost of independent living. The only thing that I thought was missing was grab bars in the bathrooms and raised toilet seats (which are recommended for anyone over 55). Thank you so very much for our tour and your hospitality. You’re on the top of the list.

Very nice facility and staff. They have very good amenities and they are very well maintained. My sister was interested in an independent living apartment and was also pleased at the future availability for assisted living and a well staffed nursing and medical assistance. Now she is going to move in and has signed the lease. Thank you for the assistance A Place for Mom was a great service.

We had done research on our own and found other places. We did not find Hillsbrook Village through our searches and were thrilled that we had that option through A Place for Mom because that's where my mom is now living. It is a beautiful, bright, cheerful, friendly and extremely well run community. Mom has been there for 2 months now, and with the services they provide is stronger than she has been in a couple of years! She is happy which is the most important thing. The food is mediocre.

It was a lovely, clean, and bright space. [name removed] was very accommodating. All staff and residents we encountered were friendly.

The staff is so supportive with families and always willing to answer questions before your family members move in and after they are in the community. My parents transitioned so well with their attentiveness and kindness.

I enjoyed being introduced to Stonebrook by [name removed]. The facility was clean and bright. The apartment homes were quite nice.

The staff at Torrington is taking excellent care of my wife. They have her engaged and participating. The apartment is great. There could be more storage, but there is enough. She seems to like the food. It was fantastic to find someone that had a vacancy, and would consider taking my wife. They did their own evaluation, assessed her needs, and took her in.

They were great. Our father was very difficult, they went above and beyond, staff was wonderful, dad was very well cared for, they also never got frustrated with him, other places probably would have asked us to find another place to put him. Staff was very nice and compassionate, place was clean and well maintained. It was an hour away from us, but it was well worth the ride for dad to get the care he did.
