Colonial Oaks Senior Living

We could not need happier. Mom was struggling and we were struggling to keep up with her ever changing needs. The staff at Colonial Oaks has been fantastic. Everyone has been so kind and caring. Mom settled right in and it was easy to see the extra care and support was exactly what she needed. Colonial oaks is a warm and homey environment. We definitely made the right choice!!

Our mom has not and u fortunately does not participate in the activities. They seem to hVe activities of some kind everyday. Everyone staff member and Administrative personnel have been extremely friendly and concerned. However, there has been no hot water in her bathroom, and cannot be fixed because corporate will not spend the money to put an additional hot water heater in her end of the building. We were not told that before moving in. Also, the maintenance man has been very slow taking care of small issues in her room. [name removed], the Director and [name removed], Asst. Director, have been great. And [name removed] has worked very diligently to address our concerns and she is making major changes in the kitchen to ensure the food will be better. It seems that these places and assisted living places all have issues with food! They must not hire people that can actually cook! It is so sad! I hope this helps!

I'm very happy he's there. They have been a huge support for us both before and after my mom passed. [name removed] (director) is AWESOME!!! Because staff is hard to keep it hinders the quality of food, cleaning, and quality of care for the cost. I don't think it's the fault of the company. It's unfortunate it's this way I think just due to "society". Overall they are fabulous and the community is wonderful and my dad is very happy there!

I have referred other people to that facility... when they have reported back to me, they said it was very expensive to get into for upfront costs. And, even though it appeared clean and fresh inside, for some reason they felt uneasy.

5 for all categories. They have exceeded all my expectations. If I had to be in a Memory Care facility I would choose Colonial Oaks for myself. Very well staffed . Staff is great!

I would give them a 5 on all categories. Colonial Oaks at Spring Hill is very clean and we have good communication with the staff. Residents seem clean and happy and we would definitely recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones

This community is great! The care my loved one received was incredible. The food was great, but the staff is what makes this community thrive. I could not recommend another place any more than Colonial Oaks. 5 stars for what they did for me and my family.

He's doing well. We have changed hospice providers. We are now using Anchor of Hope and are very pleased with them as well as with Colonial Oaks. The staff is very nice and helpful. Of course, they need more help. But I think all the facilities do. I told the cook the other day that he needed to get a long term contract. The food had been excellent and varied. Today was not as good, but regular chef may have been off today.

The Village at Alameda is a very nice place. Mom and Dad really like it. The food is good. The staff is great. The place is clean. They keep the apartments clean. If extra cleaning is needed, it is taken care of it right away. Hope this helps.

Colonial Oaks has been a great fit for my mother. She is much happier and has eased a great deal of our anxiety.We would recommend Colonial Oaks.

5 stars for all categories! We are very happy with the experience at Colonial Oaks at Rockwall. The facility is strictly memory care. It is a smaller facility, with only 44 beds. I absolutely recommend them to others looking for memory care. We love [name removed] and all of the staff!

Colonial Oaks at Arlington is like a true family atmosphere and they really care about their patients. I feel so at ease every time I walk through the doors. My brother is doing so much better here than his previous facility, it is like night and day. The caregivers are so much more compassionate and able to care for him and their pricing is so much better.

I would highly recommend it to a friend.

I searched and visited senior living homes for a couple months and so happy that I found Colonial Oaks Campbell Park! I was looking for a place where my Mom would be motivated to socialize more and this is the place! Mom is very very happy now! We enjoyed the family Valentine Brunch! She enjoys many of the weekly activities, loves the food and she’s thrilled to have meal options. (Thanks Chef [name removed]!) [name removed] at Colonial Oaks was sooo helpful in making this happen for our family! The caregivers are extremely attentive and treat residents with the utmost respect. The rooms are cleaned regularly and sheets are changed weekly. (These are things that did not happen at her last place.) The common areas and grounds are beautiful, mom also loves sitting outdoors in the atrium on nice days. Tyler, the Executive Director is very attentive to the residents and responsive to our needs and questions. Highly recommend this Colonial Oaks for your loved one!!

The staff is friendly, and they are so good at handling conflict with care and redirection

Searching for a memory care option that best suited the needs of our Mom with Advanced Dementia has been extremely stressful and emotionally taxing. [name removed] at Colonia Oaks helped make that process easier! We LOVED our tour. The community grounds were beautiful, but more importantly, the caregivers we observed were engaged and warm towards all the residents. Relocating our mom to Texas posed to be too much of a challenge, but if we could’ve, we would’ve chosen Colonial Oaks. Highly recommend exploring this community in your search of care options for your loved one!!

I just spoke with my mom and asked her if she could tell me why she likes The Village. She said that everyone there is so nice, the food is very good, her room is kept very clean and she has friends to visit with. My experience with the staff has been positive as well. We've had a couple of glitches, but they were handled promptly and to our satisfaction. The Village is also nearly $[removed]/month less than the previous facility. We would highly recommend this facility!

My mother loved The Village at Alameda. The executive Director, [name removed], is a compassionate, loving person. My mother is only leaving because of her illness. The residents are polite, sweet and helpful. Everything is great, on a scale of one to ten I would rate everything a 20. They go above and beyond.

The managers are very diligent when problems arise. Overall, I'm very impressed with this facility. Based on the experience we have ha so far, we would recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.
