Highly recommend this loving facility

This is the third community I needed to move my parents into, and it has exceeded all of my expectations. The staff is caring and wonderful – even and especially during the COVID19 pandemic. They truly love and care about the residents, and I haven't encountered any trouble with missing medications, miscommunications around expectations or skipped appointments. The activities, environment and staff all contribute to a loving, bright and cheerful environment in both the assisted living and the memory care spaces. I cannot recommend a facility more highly.

Cared for my parents

The staff at Revere Court did a wonderful job caring for both of my parents. My mother, an Alzheimer's patient, spent a little more than five years there. We had no previous experience with this disease. My wife toured a number of facilities, and said this was the best choice. The staff, procedures and facility are optimized for dementia patients. I found the staff members' patience and care very impressive. They put their hearts into their roles, and all of our family members are thankful.

Friendly, Caring Community

The Village at Alameda is a very friendly community. I am a health care professional and I found their care to be a cut above. The staff and my mother’s fellow residents were very welcoming when she moved there from out of state. With about 75 residents the facility is large enough to offer a variety of activities and social opportunities, yet small enough for staff to get to know the residents well. There are certain caregivers who consistently lead the way to go above and beyond. When you see the passion they bring to their care, it gives a level of comfort to both residents and family. There is a range of different sizes and layouts for the apartments and we moved my mother into a unit that was perfect for her needs. Housekeeping and laundry services are included in these pet-friendly apartments. Public areas and grounds are appealing and well-kept. The inviting dining room with small tables, a large fireplace, salad bar and rotating menus can also accommodate in-room tray delivery. The Village staff coordinated caregiving very well with our hospice team and our family. We were kept informed constantly regarding my mother’s care and condition, which allowed us to be fully involved in her evolving needs. While moving a loved one to assisted living is often stressful for families, the staff and management of the Village eased that process considerably for all of us. We highly recommend The Village at Alameda for when time come when this level of care is needed for a loved one.

My parents have lived there for 4 years and we couldn't be happier. The director is wonderful and responsive to all their needs. We are so grateful to the staff who really care about our parents. Moved In August

Between the required assessment and actual move-in, my Mom deteriorated. We still moved in and it was the best thing that could have happened. The former facility had me convinced my Mom was about to pass away-2 weeks at Revere Court she was winning at croquet! She has gained weight, is up every day instead of laying in bed. She is more alert and tells me she is very happy. She regained some strength and motivation. Staff is great, food is great. Small, pleasant and friendly. The ED has taken a lot of time with me and I appreciate how easy it is to reach the nurse anytime. Recommend wholeheartedly!

LOVE THIS COMMUNITY

I love this community! Everyone is supportive and able to help. My Mom has "awakened" since she moved here. The Ed is always available and all the staff helps with the residents. The food is overall good. It's important to remember this is a home for someone with Dementia. There are many levels of assistance here-it's vital that a family stay focused on the resident, not themselves. Many of the same staff have been here more than 3 years. The nurse and nurse assistant are always available. A physician actually visits twice a week. There is a foot doctor, dentist and weekly beauty shop.

The best community in Garland!

I absolutely LOVE Arbor House of Garland! This company truly "gets" dementia and Alzheimer's care on all levels. They believe in doing what is in the best interest for our residents. They also believe in taking the time to train all of their team members with three days of "hands-on" training to ensure that each team member has the tools needed to take the best of care of our residents. If I were to need a place for my loved ones, Arbor House would be the place I would go. I truly enjoy being a part of this family and love what we do!

Great facility

Great people, very passionate about serving others. I was touch to know how pleasant their staff were. I also tour the facility, it is prestine and inviting. What really blew me away is the ratio of residence to a caregiver, it is the best I have seen so far.

Clean,Fun, Happy Place!!

Love Autumn Leaves! We initially took a chance on another place and had to move out quickly -they couldn’t handle Dementia Autumn Leaves jumped thru hoops to ease the move in process. My Dad is happy and busy, no behaviors . The staff interacts in a warm and friendly way, like family. They encourage family involvement Do yourself a favor- educate yourself about the disease, be reasonable and realistic. Choose the right place to start with or as the disease progresses, and it will, you will be made to move. Dementia needs special care- Autumn Leaves of Rockwall provides that service.

Great Place For Care

I made the decision to move my husband here 4 months ago.I had toured a week earlier, [name removed] took all the time I needed to answer my questions and explain what was happening.I thought it was too soon to move. After several difficult days and nights,I decided it was time.I called [name removed] and she said, come on in, we got this. Best decision I could have made. The ED/ nurse, activities girls and all the staff are great. It’s really important to learn about the disease and it helps to understand how it causes changes.I enjoy the activities and environment. The staff works hard to make Family nights fun. You should definitely place a family member here for care.

Lovely and clean with engaging staff

Even though i do not have a loved one at this facility, i would not hesitate to place my loved one here if I had the need for memory care. I work in the long term care industry and have toured Autumn Leaves Rockwall. The facility is clean and well appointed. I always see the residents involved in activities when i stop by. The staff is always attentive and engaged with the residents as well as visitors to their community. If I ever have family or friends needing the services they offer, I will readily use them.

I made several visits to Autumn Leaves in Rockwall and was very pleased with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff each time. [Removed] answered our many questions and encouraged visits from various family members so we would feel comfortable having mother as a resident of Autumn Leaves in Rockwall. When we moved my mother, [Removed] came in from her vacation time to be there to greet mother and help me fill out the paperwork. What dedication to residents. [Removed] has been sending pictures everyday and updating us on mother's adjustment. I could not have done this transition without [Removed]

Clean and Friendly

Clean, lovely place. This is a memory/dementia place. You will be overwhelmed if you think it is for adult senior living- it is special care for dementia I was given a tour by the nurse. Answered my questions, explained various options. She was very busy, multiple interruptions, some patients followed me on tour. She wasn’t flustered and I could tell she is very involved with people that live there. The staff was handling all kinds of behavior. Staff was playing a ball game and everyone seemed happy and involved You can still live there if your family member has to be in a w/c. They won’t move you out for dementia changes, they will work with the patient. No odor, food looked and smelled good.

They were open to all my questions

While looking for a place for my loved one, I was given a list of recommendations to call and tour. A few people actually gave me good reviews on this facility. I was provided good information and I was conversing with one of the representatives that were very open to answering all of my questions versus some other locations that I was trying to work with. It made me feel comfortable knowing more information and getting answers to the questions that I had. The staff team here is good at keeping us updated, they offer a lot of different activities that even the residents’ families can participate in, and they involve my loved one. Everyone there is very friendly and welcoming. The activities that they offer are regularly posted on the calendar to keep everyone updated. They have things like exercise programs, word games, and crafts. The cleaning team is good at keeping everything organized and debris free. I know that they take out the trash every day or every other day and assist with the laundry every third day. My loved one tells me that the food that they serve is good and she likes it. The menu changes daily and the tenants get vegetable and fruits throughout the day so they are getting their nutrition. All in all this is a great facility with professional staff.

Caring, Thoughtful Staff

My sister is doing very well here in this community. This community is working out well, and I'am very satisfied with her move here. She is safe, and in great hands. They have an extremely thoughtful, caring staff. They are taking great care of her. The community is well-kept whenever I visit. They do provide nice meals, and offer good activities for the residents. I have already recommended this community to my friends, and highly recommend it to anyone.
