Colonial Oaks Senior Living

A Place for Mom listed the Village at Alameda as a location to consider for my mother. My first impressions were the fully mature landscaping and walking path around the buildings. Very smooth, nice and shady. The slightly aged exterior was already slated for a new roof and paint job which turned out beautifully. The interior was always clean and seasonally decorated. Being located adjacent to the International Balloon Fiesta made for exciting mornings in October. But these are only cosmetics. The real heart of the facility was the amazing leadership and caregiver staff. The engaging activities kept mom out of her room most of the time. Every one of the staff always greeted my mother by name and with love and respect. When providing her care, they were always compassionate and loving. It takes a very special skill-set and heart to do this type of work and all, I repeat, all of the staff performed their jobs like they were caring for there own loved ones. Thank you Village at Alameda.

If a family member comes in and is a nurse in their uniform please tell the staff if they have issues with something that happened in the hospital with a family member please don't go off on the nurse that is there to visit their family member.

I would recommend The Village at Alameda to all. The facility is a community that interacts well with everyone, well-checks are done routinely, and it is clean and well maintained. Meals are professionally prepared. The grounds have mature plantings which are well maintained, and it is adjacent to balloon fiesta Park.

The staff has been good, consistent in care. They have communicated well and consistently. His needs are attended too, and he is happy here. His medical and other needs are attended too well. They make sure he is clean and as heathy as possible. They show they care about him as a person.

My mother has been a resident at Colonial Oaks Memory Care in Arlington, TX since [date removed]. I come quite often-and at different times- and find my mother clean, her room spotless, in the community with caregivers and the Social Activities Director. The staff has become part of our family and treat my mother as such. This particular staff is dedicated to Colonial Oaks and they have all worked there for several years (including the head of nursing, the business manager the activities director, and many of the caregivers) The 2 chefs (sisters who have been at Colonial Oaks for 20 years) are incredible and the food is plentiful, healthy, and tastes like home! The facility hosts several family parties throughout the year and these are precious times with our loved ones. I highly recommend this wonderful place for your loved one should the time come for more trained care.

Although my mother was there for just a short time, I can’t say enough positive things about this assisted living facility. They are warm and welcoming. The staff is truly there to meet the needs of the clients. My mother truly enjoyed visiting with all the staff that would come in to see her. I just wish that she could’ve stayed longer!

My loved one is a resident of Colonial Oaks Senior Living at Campbell Park. Everything has been great! The staff and management do a great job at this facility! I would highly recommend this facility to family and friends.

I would say the staff is amazing although sometimes I just don't remember their names. It would be good to see maybe more name badges and the facility is VERY CLEAN. Very impressed with that! Newly updated so that's nice. The name tag thing might just need to be a in house request! And the residents are really nice too. I've met several of the ladies and absolutely love [name removed] who has taken my mom [name removed] under her wings!!

They have done everything well, we are very very happy with them no complaints. It's hard to improve on perfection. All I can say is it's perfect, we're very happy with it the staff is amazing and we are so happy to see Mom doing so well.

We had a good experience with the community, even though it was a short one. The community felt like home to the family during their short stay. It would be helpful to have more staff to be able to assist the residents. We would highly recommend the community to others.

Our experience with Colonial Oaks Rockwall has been wonderful. From our very first meeting with [name removed] to present date, we are very happy with our choice in placing our beloved family member there. We toured many memory care facilities and Colonial Oaks Rockwall by far is the best. At Colonial Oaks Rockwall there is always an activity going on for the residents. They also have a Man Cave for the guys and a she shed for the girls. They offer all amenities for the residents and so much more. They have a full staff working so each resident is cared for. We couldn't be happier with Colonial Oaks Rockwall.

A Place for Mom set up three homes for me to tour. The first two were Assisted Living With A Memory Care wing. They were nice but I didn't feel that Mom would get this special care that she needed. When I toured Colonial Oaks which is 100% Memory Care, that was the place. The staff there are very attentive and caring. Mom's room is nice and cozy and there's lots of activities to keep her entertained through the day. I really like the 9:00 a.m. devotional which was important to Mom. For anyone looking for a great Memory Care Facility I highly recommend Colonial Oaks.

I just toured last month trying to find a place for my mother when she needs it, and I was very pleased with the Community. The Residents were playing bingo and a few stopped me to tell me how much they loved living there. During my tour the lady was very helpful and answered all my questions. I met a lot of the staff and they talked with me about the many activities the Residents participate in and the care that is provided. It was so reassuring to know that her price would not increase do to level of care she may need in the future. When she is ready I will bring her back to look for sure.

My Dad moved into Colonial Oaks Assisted Living (AL) in November 2022, and it's looking good so far! From the initial call with Ms. [name removed], to the first tour with Mrs. [name removed] and the weekend visits to the facility via the weekend receptionist whose name is currently escaping me, it has been a nice experience thus far. Mrs. [name removed] even took my Dad on a second tour of the facility to help him to decide which AL facility was right for him.

We needed to move my mother quickly into an assisted living setting. We looked at several, but found Colonial Oaks to be the warmest and most welcoming. Mom has been in her new home for about two weeks and has adjusted nicely. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable and makes my mother feel good, and allows me some peace of mind that she is being well looked after.

We visited about a dozen Assisted Living communities in the area. Prices ran wildly! What attracted me to Colonial Oaks was a single price and what ever the resident need, it will be provided. I didn't want a facility where I placed my relative who at first didn't require a lot of help but later needed a lot of help and have the price triple.

There is always something going on with the activites., although my loved one did not participate.

We have been very happy with our experience at Colonial Oaks at Rockwall. The facility is always extremely clean when we go to visit and the people are super friendly. They have great activities that they do with the residents. We would recommend Colonials Oaks to others.

The facility is well kept, they have a good schedule the people are wonderful. Assisted living is awesome.

We moved both my parents to Colonial Oaks 5 days ago and could not be more pleased!!! Cleanliness is very big for me and I was extremely pleased when I toured the facility and it smelled and looked clean. The head of nursing [name removed], has been extremely patient and helpful in getting my parents organized with their medications and their specific care/needs. The Community Relations Director, [name removed], is so bubbly, welcoming and kind. The Executive Director, [name removed], is absolutely amazing!!! She has been so patient with my family, makes sure to check in on me and my parents needs/questions and definitely goes out of her way to make you feel like your loved ones are "home"!!! All the other staff, from office, to nurses, to maintenance, have all proven we without a doubt made the right decision by choosing Colonial Oaks!!!
