Golden Age Residential Care

My mother passed away over a year ago but had her last 15 days spent at Kierland Sanctuary. She had been placed in some very scary places due to her condition and demeanor. When she finally made it to Kierland I felt such a relief that she would live out the rest of her time on this earth with dignity. The caretakers were amazing with her until the end. Now my father is at Kierland Sanctuary and I am so grateful he is getting the care he needs after breaking his hip.

Coming to an assisted living place you are coming from a place of vulnerability. I came to recover from surgery and not being able to walk on my own, I realized the first night what a vulnerable position I was in. However, my concerns were put to rest immediately with the great and loving care I received immediately and for the duration of my stay. [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed] are the loving caregivers I have had for three months. They are now my family and I will miss them terribly when I leave. The facility is meticulously clean and my laundry is done daily. My son researched several places for me and after touring Kierland Sanctuary and meeting with [name removed], he knew this was going to be a great fit for me. I will be going home to live on my own and by myself. I am physically ready to do that, but I will miss this place that I have called home for three months. The three of them make me laugh daily and I feel loved and totally cared for.

I am the POA for a very good friend of mine that was sent to Park Ridge assisted living for his final few days on hospice care. They accepted him with open arms and treated him like family! The owner [name removed] was an amazing lady and cared for him like he was her own father! I can not say enough of how happy we are with the staff and the service we received! The facility was very clean top to bottom. I only wish I would have found this location sooner! I would highly recommend [name removed] and her facility!!

I cannot imagine a better place for my father to be as we enter a difficult time in both his and our family’s time of life. Parkridge assistant living is not a facility, it is a beautiful home with warm, caring people who understand his individual needs and personality and treat him with dignity and friendship. My father loves the outdoors, and it makes me happy to see him enjoying all the bird feeders, plants and surrounding wildlife in the beautiful yard. I visit my dad regularly and they treat me like family as well. They also monitor his vitals and have great health care at the ready and I can’t be involved as much as I want and they are a blessing when my husband and I want to leave for some time off. We looked at many places and always came back to Parkridge assisted living. I haven’t seen any place like this and it has truly been a blessing to my family and mostly my dad.

Bottom line, my mom had Dementia and Alzheimer’s and was totally disorientate and very confused but the staff and the owner were absolutely great and amazing with her, carrying and loving her no matter what!!! I do not think that anyone would be able to find a better place with such loving people as [names removed] for a competitive price, in such a beautiful/loving safe home environment as Park Ridge Assisted Living. Myself & my family are so grateful that we found Parkridge Assisted Living because we know Mom is always safe , and getting the best possible care that she can get in the latter part of her life. Parkridge Assisted Living has been a blessing for our family, and could be a blessing for your family as well.

I would highly recommend this facility. My Mother has been there almost a year and has been well cared for. The staff are very attentive. At no time have I ever experienced the facility being anything but clean and that goes for my Mother also.

The place is very clean and organized, they have a nice garden area for the residents to enjoy, and planned activities to keep them engaged. I will always be grateful for the love and care they provide Mom.

This is a small home with about 10 residents. The facility is really nice and absolutely beautiful. It is well managed and it’s always spotless. While my Mother was here she had her own bedroom and bathroom. Her room even came furnished and the owner even allowed her to bring in pictures to hang. I had a really big sense of relief because I knew my mom was in good hands and the owner called me immediately when anything happened. This community feels like a home and the owner is awesome. I would recommend this facility to other families.

The owners at this community are absolutely wonderful, they truly have done an amazing job at making my mother feel comfortable and right at home. My loved one has been participating in a lot of the activities and has really enjoyed the company of the other residents. I am overly satisfied with this facility and have no complaints.

The family is very happy with the recommended Parkridge Assisted Living home. The owner/care giver goes the extra mile to care for and make happy her clients.

I toured here as I was looking for options. They were in my top two. I chose the other community in my top two because this was a little more expensive, and not quite as close to me. It was also just a little more rigid in structure.

You need to be an advocate for your loved one in the community. I feel like that if I wasn't on top of things would be overlooked.

The home is beautiful and I thought my mother would be quite happy there. I moved her from California so her family could be near her. My mother is 90 years old and suffers from advance dementia. The move was very difficult on her and left her very confused. She was at the facility 11 days on a prorated basis. On the 1st I paid the full month rent. On [date removed] staff informed me that they called 911 and had my mother transferred to Arrowhead Emergency. They did not want her back until she slept. The hospital notified them that my mother had a severe UTI and she had been treated. They needed to take her back by law. I received a text to be sure to feed her since dinner was over and there was no more food. I brought my mom, her new prescription and food back to the home. The next morning they called 911 again and transferred her to Banner. Mom still had a UTI and was severely dehydrated. I received a text that my mother was given a 0 day notice to vacate and was not allow to return. They also refused to reimburse me any of the funds. The deposit was withheld because I refused to sign a paper that my mother was dangerous to herself and others and the monthly fee would not be returned because they had to pay for the placement. It took a long time but I finally got my money back. If you have a loved one with few issues this will be a nice place. If you family member has a severe diagnosis do not take her here. They have no clue how to take care of her. They also had no activities except music one a week and watching TV. My heart was broken by this situation. I guess it is a blessing that my mom didn't really understand what was going on.
