Peregrine Senior Living

I toured Peregrine Guilderland for my mother. I found it very welcoming from the moment I walked thru the doors being greeted at the front desk by [name removed]! [name removed] took the time to tell me about the facility, take me on our tour and answered my questions. She also listened to my mom’s medical history, asked appropriate questions and provided useful information. She ended the tour with an application and thanked me for taking the time to tour her facility. Overall, I feel like this would be a good fit for my mother in this stage of her life!

My tour gave me an excellent overview of the facility and the people that not only work there but live there. All information I needed was given to me and explained thoroughly. Everyone was very polite and happy, as if they enjoy the job they have. I left with a very positive opinion of the facility and the people there.

I recently toured this facility for a friend and found it to be the nicest senior home in the Capital District. It was bright and clean with lots of daily activities to keep one busy. The dining room and meals looked great as well. The living quarters were large and well appointed. Overall, this place is wonderful. Can’t say enough good things about it!

All 5s for the 8 questions! What we like the most about the community are the staff and the attention they provide to the residents. There social activities too. My father says the food is good. Yes, we would recommend Peregrine Senior Living at Colonie to other families based on the experience.

Was looking for a respite place for my father while I go on a couple of vacations since I'm his full-time caregiver. Perigine has great rooms and great place everybody look like they are very well taken care of and very happy.

I was fortunate enough to visit this facility to see a life long friends parent who has always been like a second mother to me. Seeing a loved one decline is something that no one understands until they experience it and by far the hardest thing I've ever experienced. Prior to moving into this place, there was very little quality of life for anyone involved in the situation. We watched the life of the party, the provider, turn into a shell of who she once was. When I visited over the weekend and she met me at the door she was like the women I grew up with. She introduced me to her friends, her favorite staff, showed me all around and was so happy. It reminded me of how she was in the neighborhood growing up. Of course the overhanging confusion was still there but It was so heart warming to see the place that has become her home. Every single staff member I met was fantastic. My only critique is the food could be a little better for the cost of living there. Thank you all so much

My mom recently moved in and the transition has been extremely difficult for her. The staff have taken the time to help my siblings and I understand what is going on and also to figure out the best way to help mom during those very hard moments throughout the day. We are not all local so having people there who communicate everything to us was a must and the team at this place has done that to the utmost degree. I sleep well at night knowing mom is safe.

My husband is a man’s man and the fact that they have 35% men at this facility is a plus! There was a table of 10-12 men at lunch. The place is nice and CLEAN. The grounds are well kept and I heard that the food was good.

[name removed] provided a great overview of their facility and her professional experience shines. Both [name removed] and I felt comfortable with expressing our feelings and uncertainty of our future. We have visited 4 other facilities and this is our first choice. I feel confident that the last years of [name removed] life would be a good choice at Peregrine.

I Face Timed with my son and daughter who were on the in person tour, so am a bit limited in responses. Peregrine has taken a special interest in my sister and representatives have been visiting and checking on her while she is in rehab. MY last name and email address are correct below.

It's clean and inviting. The staff is extremely pleasant. We are fairly new to the Peregrine community but so far we've had nothing but pleasant positive experiences. My father seems very content and loves the food.

My mother is happy there. She wishes she had moved there earlier. She has made new friends, loves the food, and loves being able to keep her cat with her. Yes, we would recommend Peregrine Crossgate to other families.

I visited last weekend and got to experience the pictures with Santa. It was so great to see management staff in the building on a weekend celebrating with the residents. The 3 women that were there too the time to introduce themselves to everyone and ask if we needed anything and it was a breath of fresh air. Santa was so friendly and walked the building with one of the management staff for hours, brought people to lunch and took more pictures than I’ve ever seen. I was so impressed. Great place.

This place has improved so much in the last year. Everyone cares so much about the residents and it is nice to see when I’m visiting my mom. Although the price is high, the beautiful decorations and quality care helps

The facility is very clean & tidy, every day. The staff checks on each resident every morning & night. Food is good compared to other facilities I was in. My apartment is a studio, so fairly small. I haven't been in other apartments.

I would recommend to others! Peregrine will not disappoint. It felt like home! People could not have been nicer or more welcoming!

Peregrine is a wonderful facility for its patients and for families to come and visit. I highly recommend taking a tour if you are considering a place for your loved one. The staff is really incredible.

I recently moved my Step Mom into the memory care unit at a very didfficult time for my family with my father at home in the final stages of cancer. Two nurses came to my parents' home to descretely interview my Step Mom. They were very friendly and respectful of my wishes. I found the Peregrine facility to be clean and attractive and from the moment we moved Mom in we met sweet friendly care givers who made her feel at home. She is thriving at peregrine and doing much better than at home. I knew from those very first moments that that she was in good hands and I could leave her to take care of my father with no worries. The staff is very good about keep me informed of any needs and the health care practitioners who care for her as needed communicate very well. I feel it is a blessing for my Step Mom and my family that we found Peregrine's landing.

The building has a nice set up, and the setting is nice. There are pine trees all around the property perimeter. The interior was very nice as well, very homey and comfortable. All the staff were very pleasant & there were many around interacting with residents, which I haven't always seen at other facilities. The residents were partaking in various activities and they have a shuttle that takes the Memory care residents out & about! This didn't happen at my Mom's last facility, was so happy to see this. The facility was very clean, a critical factor. Tour guide was knowledgeable, helpful & very kind. She knows her work well, fully appreciated her. The location is perfectly centralized for my family to visit. I'm on a waiting list, which is short and we'll see what happens. I think Peregrine would be a wonderful place for my Mom to call home. Worth anyone's time to visit & evaluate for their loved ones.

All of the staff and aids were very helpful and friendly to the clients as well as their families including the receptionist.
