Peregrine Senior Living

5 for all. My Mom is happier than she has been in a long time. She is gluten intolerant and they are going out of their way to try and accommodate that. Overall everyone has been great. Even her cat is happy. She has a 1 room apt, which has been fine. She's been there 2 months and is trying most of the activities. Going very well.

Peregrine is an absolute amazing place, staff is great, food is great, the amount of activities is outstanding. I would recommend to others.

I just moved my mother into Peregrine Shaker and she loved it as soon as she arrived. What made her first day so special, was that the other residents welcomed her. They all looked alert, content, and well cared for. I also like that the place is bright, sunny and well-designed to give it a feeling of open space. There are also alot of community rooms to encourage residents to be active and visit with family. However, if my mother wants quiet time, there are nice places to curl up with a book near the fireplace or on the patios. Maintenance responded quickly to help her move in, all of her assisted staff were well informed and ready to get her settled, and the management expedited her arrival. I looked at many places before I toured Pergrine, and they were quite depressing and overpriced. Pergrine is a lovely place and reasonably priced. Very happy with Peregrince Shaker!

This was the first place that we toured that Mom wanted to visit and as soon as she seen and heard all the fun, she decided she didn’t wanna go on any other tours so all in all her mom and I, this place is highly rated. She will be moving in 30 days and is excited to have her own apartment and new neighbors who can relate to her daily life routine. This facility seems very well run and welcoming. We enjoyed the tour and the staff was very knowledgeable.

Staff and nurses are super friendly there. They care and act as your loved ones extended family. They have great activity options for all of their residents. It was very clean there and the room size is huge!

The staff is amazing, and the activities are great. My dad has a studio, and it is the perfect size for one person. The food is key, with three meals a day plus snacks. I would recommend them to others who are searching for senior living for their loved one.

The facility was very clean, neat and bright. There were a lot of activities going on and residents appeared involved. Staff were observed engaged with residents. We had a very positive feeling that the setting would be a "good" fit for our loved one.

The apartment is huge compared to other facilities with a living room and separate bedroom. The staff is caring and fantastic.

I was warmly greeted and offered a water bottle while I waited for the lady who was to give me the tour. While I waited I got to witness how wonderfully the residents were treated by the staff. The residents were in the foyer with a staff member doing low key exercises and then playing a trivia game. The tour was very nice. I was glad to see two resident rooms, the dining area, the patio, a workout room, and other areas of the facility. The facility was very clean and brightly lit. The staff was very friendly. I liked that the staff was able to talk to the residents and call them by name. I also liked the way the food was served and that the residents had a choice of what they ate.

My total experience has been great! [name removed] helped me get everything together and Mom's move went smoothly. She is very happy there. She likes her little one bedroom very much. She enjoys going for meals. And she loves when there is live music! So far the only small thing is the carpet in the main part of the building is pretty stained.

Today, [date removed], marks exactly one year since she was admitted. Over the past year, I've seen a lot of positive changes. She's doing much better overall, and the recent changes in administration have made a noticeable difference. Three major leadership positions were replaced, and while I was already happy with the facility before those changes, I'm even happier now. I understand that every nursing home has its challenges, but overall this facility has continued to improve. In every category I rated, I've seen positive progress. I'm very pleased with the care, the improvements they've made, and the direction the facility is headed.

The staff were great. The building was well lit and clean. My wife is just not ready for this transition, so we did not due a tour with her.

I think peregrine at crossgates is a wonderful place for senior people. My mother-in-law, who is 98, lives there and she just loves it. She walks everyday. They have activities like bingo and exercise classes where she's moving different muscles. They go on outings and she just loves it and I don't think I could have found a better place for her.

My dad doesn't really participate in the activities except for music related and chapel. It's mostly game type of things that don't interest him. Because of his memory he often forgets/ doesn't know about outings. We love the facility and the people but had a $400 rate hike after less than a year there. The staff and community is wonderful. My dad moved 750 miles from NC up to Peregrine and he is very happy. He has made some great friends. The units/ housekeeping are very nice, clean and the perfect size. We were looking for an assisted living place with apartment style living vs single rooms. It also has a memory care unit that a loved one can move over to if needed. My dad has dementia so this is the perfect solution. To be honest, if my father had not moved up to Peregrine this past year, he would have died in his home. He had an urgent medical event there and they got him to the hospital very quickly and that saved his life.

Looking for a place for my brother. He would be very comfortable there it felt very much like a home. Not institutional at all.

Everything about it was positive. The staff was very supportive and wonderful, the facility was clean, and the activities were awesome. It was a great experience overall.

Peregrine gets 5 stars so far. We had great support through the admission process. It has been about three weeks that mom has been there. It has been clean and the staff are friendly. There is a chapel and a resident dog which is helping mom get settled.
