Peregrine Senior Living

I did a lot of research and visited several other local residences. This was the best for us...offered mom her privacy, accessibility, independence, choices, and safety and companionship. In my mind, the best in Albany, Colonie, or Latham! Mom sadly passed away after only 2mos there, shortly after a fall in her apt. I've been devastated, mom had just turned 99 less than 2 weeks earlier. Peregrine was a great residence, I wish Mom had had more time to completely acclimate. Mom had a lovely apartment w/ with large separate bedroom and adorable kitchenette. Bathroom was small but safe open shower. Good closets and storage spaces. Access to laundry down the hall which she preferred doing herself. Beautician who styled Mom's hair so beautifully. Delicious food and snacks. I loved it there for mom.

Staff are very accommodating and do go out of their way to make the resident feel like a guest. Facility is clean and and well maintained. Decor may be a bit dated, but not terribly.

The facility is great, the residents and very engaging, friendly and welcoming. The staff are wonderful. They genuinely care about the residents and are very helpful in making everyone feel at home and receive the proper care. The nursing director is amazing, always available to answer questions or concerns. Keeps us up to date on any changes or concerns they may have and we all come together with appropriate action to help taken. There are lots of great activities and outings.

Everyone was very helpful at Peregrine Crossgate and would always keep us informed of any health updates.

This was the only solution that allowed my parents to stay together. Mother 88 with moderate-severe dementia and father 92 with Alzheimer’s mild. Both required walkers and shower assistance. Mother also needed transition support. Care has been very good, attention paid to medications, food is very good as well. Several daily activities are provided. Small number of residents makes it more of a family feel for everyone.

The Peregrine was wonderful. My mother is in a skilled nursing facility now and there is no comparison between the quality of care or any of the items on your list. I've always been happy with the Peregrine, but once my mom had to leave because she required more care, I realize how outstanding the Peregrine experience really was. I wish I could have her back there.

We picked this community, because of the proximity to me. They have lovely areas to walk around Peregrine Delmar. The people, every single one of them treated my dad like he was their dad from the weight staff, to the nurses. They were incredible! They went above and beyond the call of duty in every single instance

We are very happy with the facility and my mom appears to be content. When we ask her how she's doing she never complains and says things are good. Very caring and committed staff.

5 for all categories. What we like the most about Peregrine Senior Living is the staff. They are respectful and caring. The community is welcoming and very social. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

It's a bit pricey but the place is great so you don't mind. I want the best for my resident. We picked this community because It's a new facility of 5 years and close to my home.

My sister's and I are extremely satisfied with his level of care, the compassion and care of the staff, the attention to care details, and the level of communication are exceptional! The meals are amazing! Memory Care is double the price of assisted living. We pay separate for haircuts for a hair dresser that is on site. With the level of Dementia most residents have, I feel that hair styling, nail, ear, nose, and face grooming should be offered as part of the cost. We and he are very pleased with Peregrine Colonies.

What I like the most about Peregrine Senior Living is that it is clean and new looking. They have very friendly staff who are helpful. I would absolutely recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Every single one of the staff from the maintenance worker, to the aids, the housekeepers and the Chefs, go above and Beyond providing they are truly a caring, safe, and friendly environment for my husband. I highly recommend this facility for anyone who is looking to place a loved one and in this facility

The facility has exceeded my expectations. The staff are genuinely caring, competent, friendly and on top of everything. They treat my husband (and myself) with dignity and respect. Each person, regardless of their position, is willing to help all residents no matter the situation. The activities are well done, the food is great (my husband loves his snacks too), and the facility is well maintained and very clean. I am there everyday and can say with absolute certainty that this place is great. No one wants to have to make the decision to place their love one into a facility, however, since i had to do so, this was an excellent choice for both my husband and i. I highly recommend Peregrine Colonie

This is a great facility! Wonderful, caring staff, good communication and beautiful grounds. My loved one enjoys the front porch and the library. And has made good friends with her table mates. We are thankful for Peregrine as it has been a great solution for a family member who could no longer live completely independently.

For mom, dad, relative or friend that you know needs more care than you can give. Peregrines administration works with you to provide the best care possible. Your input is very important and it is a team effort. It's a difficult decision but I've found that even the most trying times Peregrines cares and understands. It's not perfect nothing is - your presence in the overall care is welcomed and encouraged. It was the best choice for my family member!

Having a relative at Peregrine, I felt confident that she was receiving the best care possible. The staff went above and beyond - from the administration to nurses, aids, dining room... Each person was absolutely incredible. Their personal involvement with all of the residents, and their compassion for each resident was remarkable. Communication from the office and medical team was always gracious, thorough and timely. I am beyond thankful and grateful that my cousin was cared for so well by the exceptional staff at Peregrine.

I am greeted cheerfully each time I enter the building to visit my Mom. They take care of so many big and small details such as daily trash removal, check in on her to see that she is okay and so much more. Mom had a fall one time and I could not be more pleased with how they handled it and called to inform me. For the first time in years, I can take a vacation with out a lot of stress over Moms care. Mom is a tough, old school, 88 year old. She did not want to like any part of an old age place but I see her smiling more and more when she is in the hall. She leaves for meals 1/2 hour early just to be around the business. Each of the staff members are kind cheerful, patient and caring. I could not have asked for a better place for Mom.

It was excellent. Caretakers wonderful and attentive. Administrators kept in touch and genuinely cared. Must keep in mind....only assisted living....not nursing capable. Had to move my brother when he needed nursing home care. Hated to leave Peregrine, however.ALL the staff, from Maintenance up to Admin were great.....and one thing was very evident as a visitor......they all got along well on all levels!

There is little or no communication to the families any longer. The food is good. Housekeeping has dropped off over the year. Activities are a thing of the past. They used to stand out as far as activities. Now they just do nothing. This facility used to be outstanding now it is no different than any other facility. I don't know if it has to do with Gary leaving and he was the motivator. They cannot seem to keep good staff. Disappointed! At this point I would not recommend this facility from any other. Certain Directors seem to no longer have their head in the game.
