Peregrine Senior Living

Having a relative at Peregrine, I felt confident that she was receiving the best care possible. The staff went above and beyond - from the administration to nurses, aids, dining room... Each person was absolutely incredible. Their personal involvement with all of the residents, and their compassion for each resident was remarkable. Communication from the office and medical team was always gracious, thorough and timely. I am beyond thankful and grateful that my cousin was cared for so well by the exceptional staff at Peregrine.

I am greeted cheerfully each time I enter the building to visit my Mom. They take care of so many big and small details such as daily trash removal, check in on her to see that she is okay and so much more. Mom had a fall one time and I could not be more pleased with how they handled it and called to inform me. For the first time in years, I can take a vacation with out a lot of stress over Moms care. Mom is a tough, old school, 88 year old. She did not want to like any part of an old age place but I see her smiling more and more when she is in the hall. She leaves for meals 1/2 hour early just to be around the business. Each of the staff members are kind cheerful, patient and caring. I could not have asked for a better place for Mom.

It was excellent. Caretakers wonderful and attentive. Administrators kept in touch and genuinely cared. Must keep in mind....only assisted living....not nursing capable. Had to move my brother when he needed nursing home care. Hated to leave Peregrine, however.ALL the staff, from Maintenance up to Admin were great.....and one thing was very evident as a visitor......they all got along well on all levels!

There is little or no communication to the families any longer. The food is good. Housekeeping has dropped off over the year. Activities are a thing of the past. They used to stand out as far as activities. Now they just do nothing. This facility used to be outstanding now it is no different than any other facility. I don't know if it has to do with Gary leaving and he was the motivator. They cannot seem to keep good staff. Disappointed! At this point I would not recommend this facility from any other. Certain Directors seem to no longer have their head in the game.

I am very happy with my decision, this was not easy for me. The whole staff was very supportive and helped me through the process. EVERYONE is very good with the residents. I always got a return phone call, my concerns were addressed. The food is amazing. My only issue is missing clothing. But they are very good with my loved one, who is not an easy person to deal with.

I would highly recommend Peregrine Shaker. The staff is excellent and the facility is clean, welcoming, and offers a lot of activities & excursions.

We are very happy with the care my brother is receiving at Peregrine. All of us were impressed with the fact that even the first time we walked in the door all the staff addressed my brother by name. They seem to be well staffed and they all seem involved with the residents. We like the fact that they serve meals on real plates, cloth napkins and table cloths. It's just overall a nicer atmosphere

Wow!!! Staff amazing!! Head Nursing amazing!! [Name removed] is the most loving Director Ever!!!! The facility is operated at the highest standards but with Love. Doors are open in most rooms and welcoming. The appointment of ambassadors to new occupants is an amazing idea. Food amazing!! It’s just different there, in so many way’s. Duplicate what they’re doing at this facility. The bottom line blended by a caring Place for Mom works every time Bill Eskridge

My mom is currently a resident at Peregrine Senior Living at Colonie and most everything has been great. The cleanliness and friendliness are great. The staff and care services are also great. I have already and will continue to recommend Peregrine Senior Living at Colonie to others.

I would recommend it. It felt more like home than other places. The staff is great. Not to far from my home

The staff has been very helpful answering all of questions and concerns. Everyone is very friendly and caring. The facility is clean and has lots of activities. The other residents are so nice and welcoming. They are good. My MIL is in a deluxe studio. Very roomy and plenty of space. Bathroom is a bit small, but sufficient for her needs. Nice walk in shower.

We have had a very good experience with Peregrine Guilderland. My Mom has slowly assimilated in, she has had good encouragement from staff. Overall experience- very good Cleanliness- very good, she did have to ask at the beginning for some help making bed and more thorough clean of bathroom and carpets. Friendliness has been excellent, caring staff. Very good care, she was hesitant to ask for help at first, but seems to have made the right contacts now. Food is very good, with alternate choices when she doesn't care for the main menu. Activities are very good, she is just starting to participate in more activities. It has been a big change for her. We think it is good value for the cost.

5 for everything! The staff have made it such a great experience. They are very kind and understand and respect memory care issues. Appropriate and fun activities. Receptionist at ASSISTED Living desk [name removed]. [name removed] is very helpful when I call. It feels like a caring safe place for our dear brother. Good food- We recently had 2 lunches and dinner there.

When my mother was there they loved her and everything is a five. They treated her real well and they were friendly as could be. They were they were the whole nine yards but I just want to let you know they have changed. Upper management directors changed and the HR person is changed and I'm not sure but I think the business person has changed just so you know. My mother who is 94 is not in peregrine anymore. They couldn't handle her because she needs a two-person lift.

The staff is very friendly and caring. We visit every other day, and haven't been disappointed yet.

The staff is professional and goes the extra mile for the residents. The food is phenomenal and I love the “Anytime Cafe” where residents can go get late night snacks and beverages. I highly recommend Peregrine!

Their ability to have eyes on the residents is very important to me. Everybody is spoken to, and looked after very lovingly. To restate the top questions-I find the place incredibly clean, very beautiful and homelike, the staff is actually very loving, just yesterday we all played a game of balloon badminton together. My favorite to play with my mom. The staff is constantly looking to engage them in the planned activities of the day. People are left alone if they opt out. My mom's religious needs are met which is important. The food offered is very varied with thoughtful portions, and the food staff are very attentive and kind. My mom enjoys the food. My mom is kind and is treated like family by the staff and to see her. have new friends at almost 99 years old is just incredible for us.

All of the staff is very friendly, right from the kitchen staff to the receptionist to all the med techs the activities coordinator. They are all very lovely. The communication is good if you can't talk to them right then and there you leave a message and depending on the time of the day they usually return your call the same day or the first thing the next morning. I would say 95% of the time the meals are good once in awhile it's a fail.. LOL. I would definitely recommend this place, it's been a godsend to us. I like the fact that they have somebody keeping an eye on my mom all the time, that she gets three meals a day, that they do the laundry and they clean her room, they have activities during the day, and that they have outside trips once a week. Also, God forbid that she gets dementia and needs to move downstairs, I like the fact that it's people she will still know and the staff downstairs are wonderful in memory care.

I would say that almost every community had lovely caring staff and clean, well maintained facilities-- the choice came down to how your loved one's needs matched the layout and activities offered. I was in a quandary until, while visiting Peregrine Colonie, [name removed] the chef entered and gave me a loaf of fresh baked bread still warm. That unique gesture made up my mind.
