A Place for Mom found it for me and it was exactly what I needed. So grateful to have this place so close to home and knowing my mom is being well cared for.

The facility is clean and the staff goes above and beyond to provide excellent care. There are plenty of activities for residents to engage in and stay active. There is a family atmosphere rather than that of a clinic.Patients are not just a number at Cottonwood Creek.

We chose Ridgecrest because I have worked with their marketing person before. It is an older facility but it is very nice, the price was also right for us. She gets excellent care here, she has been in many facilities and this is the best care that she has gotten by far. The room sizes here are very large and spacious. The food could use improvement, they do not seem to have a lot of variety and she has the same things over and over. I would absolutely recommend to others looking.

I am happy with this community. The staff is very nice and caring. We like the community for being very clean. They offer a lot of variety with the meals. They offer activities that are helpful. We would recommend this community for other families.

We toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. I was very impressed by Ridgecrest Retirement! All of the people we met were so nice and so accommodating! The facility itself is beautiful and clean, and it is located very conveniently to my parents' doctor. I would definitely recommend them as being worth a look!

Majority of staff is friendly and respectful. Quite a few activities but not much participation, though this is no fault of Cottonwood.

This is a great option for those with limited finances. The staff is friendly and helpful. My dad likes the fact that in lieu of breakfast, he’s not a morning person, they offer him two lunches. There is an abundance of activities in the facility, and opportunities to get out for entertainment such as movies and concerts. One downside is the Director wears several hats, and is sometimes difficult to reach. And the shuttle vans aren’t always timely when having to go to doctor appointments. Otherwise we, and my dad, are pleased with the facilities.

Housekeeping does a nice job.The residents are very friendly, however, the Director could practice some better people skills. All of the caregivers are lovely.They do the best they can. Theytruly care for the residents. They all have a good attitude in trying conditions.

My loved one is currently a resident at Ridgecrest and he is doing great so far! I would recommend this facility to others.

The staff really know their residents, and are quick to communicate with family when necessary. As far as the activities go-- I think they might consider scheduling some shopping trips or events out of the facility for the residents. I would recommend Ridgecrest Retirement community to friends and family.

We picked this community, because of the location and value for cost. They were more proactive to gain my confidence than the others I evaluated. They took very good care of my dad, kept him happy and well fed, and kept me informed at every point along the journey. It is hard to care for a parent from a long distance. The staff understood that, and kept me in the loop at every step.

Ridgecrest Retirement has very nice sized apartments for the price. It is an older community but it is very well maintained and clean. Very elegant atmosphere, almost like an old hotel. We would recommend the community to others.

This facility has great potential and supposedly ownership has made a commitment to improve things but sadly there are many priorities and challenges. None of the fixes are cheap. High turnover in staff in the last 2 years has lead to low morale amongst residents. Some residents need to be discharged and yet it seems they are allowed to stay because they can afford to pay. Most reviews written by staff or residents that are over 6-12 months old are probably not representative of anything currently going on. The biggest issue at this time is several minor “administrative” staff seem to think they are in charge yet are the least amount of help when help is needed.

My loved one is currently a resident at Ridgecrest Retirement and Healthcare Community. The staff at this facility are lovely once you're in. They were somewhat overwhelmed when we started out. Communication with the family is good.

Housekeeping does a nice job, rooms are cleaned everyday. All of the residents have been very welcoming towards us. The food is bleh. The menu looks good on paper but sometimes doesn't make the plate. Something different shows up everyday. It's a good thing we can cook in our room, as we often supplement meals that way. For activities, Love the Word game is every day, entertainment every week. As with most facilities, staffing is an issue. The ones helping us on a daily basis are quite responsive and kind. We do like the fact that this facility uses very little, if any, 'Agency Staff.'

When my father went there it was almost a brand new place but he said it was too dark. I think they were trying to make it look homey and things with the dim lights but my dad just did not like that at all!

My loved ones live here currently. There’s 1 nurse that’s on duty a lot that I like quite a bit and she’s really outstanding. There are a couple of other people that assist her that are also good. However, the food is horrendous. They shouldn’t be serving geriatric people the food that they do. Everything has too much sodium in it and it just feels like institution food. As far as activities are concerned, they have chair exercises, movies, and bingo. It’s really up to the residents to join in. There are strange smells in certain parts of the facility and the residents have no way of opening the windows for fresh air. The washing machines barely clean the laundry and if you give the laundry to the staff, it gets lost. I honestly think they’re trying to do their best but I don’t particularly like this place.

They didn't really have memory care. Their building wasn't secured. It was on the lake but I didn't care for their sales person. She never would call me back and she kept my mother's medical records - I never got them back. She never called to tell me that they really couldn't accommodate her needs so I gave up on them.

The price is really good which was the main reason it attracted us, they have assisted living and skilled nursing the issue is assisted living did not have the level of care we needed going forward. They were also very unorganized. One of our main issues was that they do not adhere to any dietary restrictions or have special menus. There were some really good aspects as well. I think it would be a great place for someone who does not need as much care. But for someone who needs a lot of care or a specific diet, it is probably not the best fit.

This is not the place for care if your loved one needs help eating. Our parent was hospitalized for dehydration that caused UTI while in isolation due to pandemic. Phones not answered and if love one to weak to answer their personal phone you don't know their condition. Look for alternative care.
