I give Ameristar 5 stars on all categories. They have been extremely helpful and very accommodating. The facility is well kept. Momma is eating all of her meals. She looks good and healthy. She is still a little fussy, but, at her age, that's to be expected. She will be 99 years old this Sunday. Thank you for the recommendation.

I toured Ameristar Assisted Living and I was impressed with the facility! It was very clean, the staff were all very friendly. It was very professional, I was really surprised. We ended up not needing to place my mom into a facility, but I would have been comfortable placing her here if we'd needed to. You hear so much about all different types of facilities and you worry, but from my visit...I'm not worried if it came to placing mom at this facility.

I liked this community a lot more than the others that I was looking at but there was still another community that made more sense for my loved one.

I am happy with the care from this community for my mom. It is a home that is giving her great care. They offer activities and she really does enjoy the music a lot. The community is clean and always nice to see him the staff give such great care. I feel good knowing that she is in a great place and I recommend other families to this community

The caregivers take good care of my mom and the house is always clean. They could improve on the communication. My mom has difficulty calling the caregivers when she needs them. They don't have any type of call buttons. Also because my mom is total and they don't have a handicap shower they have not figured out a way to give her a shower. That's a problem for us.

Neat exterior appearance; well maintained and welcoming. Ramp to front door (1st house we've seen with a ramp). Single level. House well arranged, residents seem comfortable. Pretty sure this is it for proximity to home, worship, dialysis and price!

My husband was moved into hospice care the first day we transitioned to Ameristar Assisted Living. Without this additional care, I don't think this facility would have been able to manage his care. Although they indicated a handicapped accessible facility, it was extremely difficult navigating through the narrow hall to transport him to and from his room. I also had to remind the staff several times about a loose window curtain rod that posed a safety concern if dislodged from the wall and possibly fall onto his bed. They eventually repaired but it was upsetting that I had to bring this up several times.

The facility is 'homey' ,uncluttered, and very peaceful. The director was cordial and informative. The small size seems appropriate for people with dementia. My concern is the capability of staff to manage clients with behavior problems. Requires further evaluation

Took tour was not pleased with findings. Location was good inside spacing was acceptable. Individuals appeared to be able to be somewhat independent which was good. There was an odor to the place. Residents activities was a concern did speak with Linet(RN).

Five residents; semi-private $2,000-3,000; organized doctor visits; $500 deposit. Price negotiable. Activity room.
