Before my parents made any decisions, we toured 10 different places. Not one place stuck out to us above Residences at Coffee Creek. Not only does it look and feel beautiful, the residents and staff make this place what it is. We are overjoyed at how kind and helpful everyone is from maintenance to housekeeping and all the nursing staff, we are really happy knowing they are there and safe. I also appreciate that they have a memory care which was a large part of why we chose them.

Coffee Creek offers a welcoming environment with attentive staff who know the residents by name. All the activities, meals, and care services are well-organized, helping my mother stay happy and engaged. This is the best place in the area.

NWV felt like the right place for our mom the minute we walked in the door to meet with Rick. He spent hours with us detailing the care that she would receive, the services offered and emphasizing that after some time she would hopefully feel comfortable and at home. Every single person that works at NWV is absolutely amazing! The individual care and concern they have shown sometimes brings tears to my eyes. We never thought that Mom would get up and participate in the daily activities, but they go to her room and take her, so she really doesn't have a choice, and she ends up having a great time (even though she might not remember.) :) We know she is safe, and being taken care of with respect and dignity. What else can you ask for?

Very impressed with the staff and program they offer to the residents. It is a warm and inviting place. It does not feel like a nursing setting. My mom is in the memory care and we are very happy with it so far. Lots of space to visit with her and the rooms are spacious. We love all the activities we see mom doing.

My in-laws have been at Residences at Coffee Creek for over a month now and it has turned out to be the best decision for our family. My husband was spending so many evenings and weekends tending to them in their home just to simply keep them in their house. It wasn’t making any sense, it wasn’t healthy for my husband and it definitely was getting less safe by the day. My in-laws are now coming down to meals, engaging in activities and even doing physical therapy on a regular basis (which they always refused at home). The staff is awesome! The food is good, it’s clean and well managed. We love the team at RCC.

I was in town for the holidays and paid a visit to see my grandmother who recently moved into this assisted living. I don’t know what I was expecting but this was quite an upgrade from the last place she lived. We got to have a meal with her in the dining room and we were pleasantly surprised by how nice the experience was.

My mom was a resident at Deer Creek Memory Care and recently passed away. The staff went above and beyond to make sure all her needs were met. They treated her like she was one of their family. I can’t say enough great things about the care she received. We also worked with the supervising nurse [name removed] She was such a lifeline for my mother.

I did not want to move here. But it’s actually pretty good. The food is better than I expected. I like to keep to myself. I still drive and can come and go as I please. I could no longer live at home with all the stairs. Everyone is friendly and I like to sit with a few other men at mealtime.

We had my mom living in another facility for about six months before we moved her to residences. We were constantly getting calls to come. “sit with our mom” because she was being difficult. This was the whole point of moving her to a memory care. It was clear within the first 30 days at Residences that the staff here really understand dementia, and know how to deal with people like my mom. They make her feel important and they validate her concerns. They have unbelievable patience when she can be angry and difficult. I feel confident in their care. Highly recommend this facility to anyone with a loved one with dementia.

The workers are all so kind and they really work hard. I like my apartment that looks out at the watershed preserve. I love the farmers market during the spring and summer. I still feel very connected to Chesterton living here.

I’m an only child of a very small family. When it was time to move my mom to memory care, I was lost. The staff at residences help me walk through the process and get my mom moved and settled. I am disabled and they even helped me put together furniture that I had ordered online for my mom and get her room all set up for her because I was not able to do so. No questions asked, and they didn’t even charge me. It’s hard to find places that aren’t all about the dollar and are still about helping people. This place is the real deal and I consider them family. Thank you residences for helping me give my mom the best to care when I could not.

We have been pleased with our experience of moving our mother to memory care from her independent living facility. It was an adjustment but this is really where she needs to be. They are very attentive to mother and keep her busy with activities which makes my whole family happy. No place is perfect but this place is sure close.

My parents aren't the easiest people to get along with. I was at the end of my rope trying to keep my parents in their house, happy and safe. It was becoming impossible. They are very set in their ways at 92 and 94 and we were so afraid of how this transition would go. However, Residences at Coffee Creek has really done a great job at making mom and dad feel at home and we couldn’t be happier with how things are going for them. If you’re considering a move for your parents — don’t wait. You won’t regret your decision. These people are professionals. They’ve heard it all and know how to help.

My husband and I moved in to Residences about 4 months ago from out of state to be closer to our kids. We had an ideal living situation but we were so far from our family we couldn’t bare it. Residences is a wonderful place and the staff all work very hard. We love our two bedroom apartment and have made some great friends already. This place is truly special and we feel blessed to be a part of it.

We had a horrible experience at a memory care in Valpo before we found Residences at Coffee Creek. They accepted my mom and told us one price when she moved in and then a month later her price nearly DOUBLED due to her level of care. We felt deceived and lost after finally getting mom settled in her new home. I was furious at how unprofessional the whole experience was. A friend at work told me about Coffee Creek and how they have an all-inclusive priced memory care so we checked it out. SO GLAD WE DID! WOW— we should have done our research more before moving mom the first time. This place offers SO much more and it’s very transparent. No 10 levels of care with an astronomical price tag that charges you for every little thing. If you are researching memory care in the Chesterton or Valpo area — DEFINITELY check out residences at coffee Creek before making a decision. You’ll be happy you did!

The daily activities are engaging and purposeful, helping residents stay active, social, and connected while honoring their abilities. Meals are delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and the entire community is spotless as well. We love how big the courtyard is in memory care giving the residence. Plenty of outdoor space when the weather is nice. We feel totally at peace knowing [removed name] is at Residences!

My apartment is comfortable and well maintained, and I feel safe knowing help is always close by if I need it. The meals are delicious with plenty of choices, and I enjoy not having to worry about cooking or cleaning anymore. I feel happier, healthier, and more at ease living here.

The staff go above and beyond to treat residents like family, always showing patience, kindness, and respect. It’s clear they are not just doing a job—they truly care. We couldn’t have picked a better place for my dad.

My brother has been at residences for about two years now. Every time we visit him, we are always impressed with how nice everyone is. The residences are happy and taken care of. The food is good and the place always looks clean and well maintained. He has a studio apartment and it’s the perfect size for him. We appreciate everything residences has done for our family.

Everyone who works here is very helpful..food is Great...the entertainment they provide for the residents shows they care as well..the staff knows Everyone needs as well..Visited other places an this one doesn't smell like wet diapers!! It's like visiting mom at home !!KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !!
