We toured many senior living places in the area and ended up choosing Residences at Coffee Creek - primarily for how welcoming it felt and how helpful they were during this big change for my mom. I really like that they have a house doctor that comes in and will see mom right in her apartment rather than taking her out to her appointments. We were able to get her medications adjusted (which was long overdue) right in the comfort of her own home. The nursing staff is great and are truly there 24/7. I don't have to worry about mom missing her pills anymore and she really is much more active than she was at home. We are only sorry now we waited so long to move her.

My mom moved in this past fall to the assisted living at Residences at Coffee Creek. It always looks clean and smells good everytime we visit her, which was really important to all of us when we were researching. I love that they always have family gatherings each month where we can all come in and it feels like mom is hosting us like she used to. She's made friends and likes the activities. The staff is very friendly and it's never hard to get ahold of someone when you need to. Would highly recommend this place.

I have visited here many times. the place is always beautiful and the people so friendly. There always seems to be a lot of activity going on. They do a marvelous job. My Dad loves their food and likes the fact he can use their fitness center whenever he wants to work out.

I have toured many communities in Valparaiso and Chesterton, and none were as warm and inviting as Residences at Coffee Creek. The community has an actual nurse in the building 24/7 which puts my mind at ease, especially for in the middle of the night emergencies that may happen.

Our Mother is 94 years young and had recently suffered a fall at home. We noticed after the fall how quickly she was declining mentally. We originally had planned on placing her in an assisted living facility. We visited North Woods Village and were immediately impressed with the level of care our mom would be receiving. We love her room, the cleanliness of the facility and the personal care she is receiving. We have peace of mind knowing that she is receiving her meds, meals and physical and mental therapy on a daily basis. We love the staff and so does our mother.

The community did everything well. Mom was only there for six days before passing.

North Woods has been a life saver for our family and based on the experience we have had we would absolutely recommend them to other families. They have a ton of different activities going on, a lot of variety and appropriate activities. The staff are just amazing, and there are a ton of them that pay close attention to the residents.

The friendliness of everyone at North Woods just stood out right away, everyone is so personable. They know all the residents by name and know who and where they are immediately. We are so thrilled with the place we cannot recommend it enough. The meals seem to be very good, we have one lunch there and it was tasty and the food always smells good. They always have different activities going on. The value for the money is definitely worth it.

I can't say enough good about this community. Anytime that I email the administrator I know that I will be hearing back from her within 8 hours. The staff bend over backwards to assist the residents with their needs. Everyone is so friendly and get to know the family along with the resident. They do a pheromonal job at caring for the residents. The chef called me to ask me about what my loved one would like to eat to make sure that my loved one would eat what she enjoyed. All the staff have been helpful, and make sure that my loved one's needs are being met. My loved one's rooms is cleaned up every day and they do a deep clean once every two weeks.

Durning these unnerving times it is refreshing to have a facility that is clean, friendly, and family oriented. My family member resides at Residences at Coffee Creek and we are glad that we all made the choice to select this senior living center above all others. Thank you for all that you do everyday for our loved one!!

My aunt is a resident at Residence at Coffee Creek and we are so pleased with it. She is so happy there and we couldnt be happier with the care she is receiving there. We shopped all around Chesterton and Valparaiso and decided on Residence at Coffee Creek for her. The building is beautiful and the staff go above and beyond for all the residents.

Working as a Pharmacist for over 50 years, I have worked With many nursing homes, assisted living, and memory care units. Recently I have had a personal experience with Residences at Coffee Creek. I feel it has one of the best memory support units I have ever been in. The staff is very knowledgeable, kind and caring and make the family feel comfortable that their love one is getting the best care.

My experience with Coffee Creek began when they first opened. I was looking for a good place for my mom. I was greeted there by [name removed]. At that time, we decided Coffee Creek was not the best fit for my mom. [name removed] couldn't have been more gracious. She wasn't at all pushy...in fact she totally understood. She just wanted the best place for my moms needs. A few years later, however, my mother's needs had changed. I contacted Coffee Creek and spoke to [name removed] . We met and settled on an apartment for my mom. It was then that I encountered other staff members and they were wonderful. They were very accommodating to my mom's needs.. They were honest and transparent. They listened to and addressed any concerns I had. The building is clean, beautiful, warm and inviting. In caring for my mom and my mother in law over the last 7 yrs, I've had experience with almost every senior living facility in the area. Most of them I absolutely would not recommend but Coffee Creek ...YES!

I have never had the opportunity to live in such a fine facility as residences at coffee Creek! It is not only a beautiful one but also a family oriented one. My every need has been addressed by staff from social needs through medical needs. The nursing staff saw that my medicines were properly dispensed and that my diet was always one that provided complete nourishment for mind body and spirit. Here I had the opportunity to be out of doors to enjoy the sunshine and share it with other residents. If I had needed assistance in getting around it was there for me. Had I needed a “listening ear” (my wife had died one year ago and I was still grieving) there were trained counselors with compassionate ears and hearts. Coffee Creek offered me a resting place where I could prepare for my next stage in life with the assistance of my two children and grandchildren. Thank you, coffee Creek, staff and residents, for helping me through this period of my life.

They have enough staff and I feel like my loved one is well taken care of. I feel like anyone who came here would be pleased with the love and care that I see provided for my loved one. We came from another community and this one is completely different from what we dealt with.

We have been very happy with our experience with Residences at Coffee Creek and we have no complaints. I cannot say enough good things about them and I would give them all 5/5 stars.

This community is a very nice and beautiful place to live.

I would recommend this community to others for their loved ones. They were able to care for my loved one with their needs. They worked well with hospice. The compassion from the director to the caregivers was evident during my loved one's time here.

We chose North Woods Village because we were in an emergency situation and they were pleasant and easy to work with. My mom is religious and they have a very nice chapel with services provided. They offer both shared and private rooms, she has the smallest private room and it is fine for what she needs. The staff is very nice and caring, they always have an answer for your questions. I would definitely recommend to others looking.

We were under a time crunch to get our loved one moved out of a rehab facility to an assisted living community and the director here just went out of her way as far as we are concerned to help make that process easier. She was spectacular with her guidance. The staff members get higher than 5 stars, they are very friendly. Our loved one has had no complaints about the meals. Our loved one does not really participate in the activities, but when we visit we do see other residents participating in the activities and they look pretty good.
