AZ Life Assisted Living Home LLC

After 26 years as an Exec Dir in large AL Centers, I had no direct expertise with AL homes. When an elderly friend of mine had personal care needs exceeding her AL Center budget, I researched AL Homes with 5-Star ratings. The first home I contacted had no vacancies & all but hung-up on me. My second call was to [name removed] at AZ Life, and within the first minute, I knew I was on the right track. Before opening AL Life, Effie was a caregiver for 10 years, so she genuinely cares about seniors. Not only is her home well-appointed, but she offers good ol’ home cooking, lovingly prepared by her husband, [name removed]. Furnished rooms, with or without private bathrooms, include internet connectivity & a TV w/cable stations. There’s weekly live entertainment & a weekly hands-on activity, instead of “parking” the residents in front of a big-screen TV between meals. Their small dog, Measa, is friendly & well-behaved. Most importantly, the residents look content & well-groomed.

This is a beautiful home. They do such a great job of taking care of my mother.

My mom is doing well since moving into AZ Life Assisted Living Home. The home is clean and well cared for. The staff are friendly and we have good communication regarding my mom's care. I have not tried the food but my mom has not complained about it. She does participate in some of the activities offered.

We had a nice tour with AZ Life, but nothing really stuck out to us about them.
