The place was great, but my father and one other patient were the only men in the entire site. Activities and socializing were almost entirely female oriented. Thus he found it better to be in his room alone too often.

We’ve been very happy with the care our Mom has received at Riverwood Senior Living. The staff is very competent and extremely kind and caring. The food is excellent and the activities are fun and meaningful.

The staff was caring and attentive. Facility very nice and clean. Decorated nicely. Rooms are very nice.

My sister lived at Riverwood for 6 months. She has since passed away. Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience there. The sides were absolutely wonderful - so kind and caring.

Great people everyone gets along with each other. The staff are great they really do care about the people that live there. Overall my mom vary happy living there and is enjoying be there. You would not go wrong moving a loved one here or your self.

I would rate 5 for all. I believe the cost is higher than most but the setting, space, and room size are nicer than most. I think management and staff are outstanding. They have helped to make a very difficult experience easier and better than expected both for myself and my family member.

A beautiful setting with friendly and helpful staff and administration. Residents are treated with respect and their personal preferences are accommodated whenever possible. There were a few bumps initially in establishing therapy and care patterns as with any new placement, and some very minor communication gaps, but all these were resolved with tact and grace. I am in awe of the staff for their unfailing patience and genuine kindness and positive attitude. The opportunities to interact with other residents at meals, activities and special events is also valuable.

My mom has been here for almost 2 months and we are very happy with her care. Her room is clean, she gets her sheets changed and laundry done as needed. They take very good care of her. She likes the food and they are very flexible with meal times. She can sleep in and have breakfast whenever she wants. They also do a good job of keeping the residents busy and go on outings quite often. The medical clinic that comes to the home seems very thorough. The director is pleasant and always willing to talk or address any concerns.

I am so thankful for Adelaide Place. Our family recently needed a place for our great aunt and we were amazed at the flexibility and personalized help we got from the team. They truly care about her and our whole family. The caregivers go above and beyond and the managers know what is happening. You can tell that the work is hard but they do a good job. I would recommend visiting this facility if you need help with a family member or friend.

I'm grateful that the staff at Adelaide Place tries to take into consideration all the residents' preferences, even though it's not easy. I can hardly make my own family happy with a dinner choice because so many people like different things. My family member has received very good care there, and someone always calls me if there's a concern or something I need to be updated on. Look past the negative reviews and take the time to come and see for yourself.

My mom has been here for over 2 years. She has been inbsevetal nursing homes & assisted living homes. She is very happy here & we are very pleased with the care given to mom since we are unable to do it ourselves. The staff treats her very well as if she was family. They have many activities throughout the day to keep mom busy. She is not the type to sit in her room alone. They give her little tasks to do which make her feel important. We feel very blessed that she is in such wonderful hands.

Highest ratio of residents to staff, that I've found. Max 24 residents. Rooms do not have bathrooms, but 16 bathrooms in-house with 22 rooms, so nearly 1:1. After touring and talking with the staff, this was THE place I wanted my my to live, but she wants an apartment setting. Consider this home-like atmosphere when looking for assisted living.

The regular staff has been really awesome except the RN who didn't seem to care at all. I've heard in last 2 weeks there is someone new but I haven't gotten to know her. Facility is very beautiful. Excellent location. I would still recommend them but they are very pricey. Knowing the final price amount before moving parents down would have been helpful. They assessed parents level of need after they moved in because they came from so far. It was a major sticker shock from the estimate. The in house doctor is only available one time a month. If anything comes up between they are sent to ER. This service has done us no good at all. Price is rated on their need of care. Parents are rated needing help with things they really don't need help with. Other areas are halfway paid attention to because they aren't individualized.

These reviews must be old. There is no RN on staff. When the RN left they replaced her with an CNA as manager. That being said, we can't say enough about the caring staff for our relative. They stop and talk with her and watch for sores, etc. We know the day and evening staff. They work very hard. With only two caregivers per shift it is hard for them to help everyone immediately when a bell is rung. The 3rd staff member is in the kitchen preparing meals, cleaning up, etc. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The food had gotten better, but still alot of sameness. Sandwiches almost every night but a variety for the main meal at noon and breakfast. They do bring snacks around some evenings, around 7 pm. Have started a Happy Hour on Fridays and a Sunday Sundae after the evening meal. The one place it is lacking is the entertainment. Bingo twice a week and alot of games. The morning activity is usually the best and most interesting. However, very few times when a pet is brought in to interact with the residents or music to entertain them. Most stay in their rooms and watch tv. Our relative goes into the dining/living room area to read so she interacts more with staff. But they need better entertainment. Once that is improved I think this facility would be the best place in Racine for assisted living who need a little more help.

My mother is doing very good at Grand Horizons Kimberly, it is great. It has turned out to be a real good place for her. I can't say for everyone, it depends on their needs, but it is good for my mother.

We visited this site. Very impressive. New, well laid out with larg rooms and daily scheduled activities. Here to, the adminstrator was very helpful. she was well prepared and answered all questions we gave her. The 3 of us agreed, this was one we would consider.

. I was not happy with the community. I felt like they would not answer my questions.This community is nice and clean. They offered activities. I was not able to see if they had the good menu. I would suggest other families fo and take a tour to see if this community is what they are looking for.

The food at Adelaide House is horrible. My mother seems to be happy there, but they don't have a lot to look forward to other than eating. She is not starving, but she has to have her own food brought to her because the food there is so bad. They are serving luncheon meats at dinner, and hot dogs, and such. One time it was just a bowl of noodles with nothing over it. She does not want fancy food, but she does want decent food and they are not serving it.

I find that the Adelaide house has issues with both the food and with cleaning. I believe that they don't have enough staff to clean adequately, and they definitely don't have a cook or nutritionist planning and cooking the meals. The meal at supper-time is often very bad and very limited.
