The facility and rooms are clean and the food is very good. My mom is in a studio and the layout really works for her and the cost is very reasonable for rent and care. Cedarhurst of McHenry is a beautiful facility with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive to my mother’s needs. The nursing staff provided good care and communication, and we appreciated the variety of activities offered for residents. The food was good, and a nice variety was offered. As is common with many assisted living facilities, response times for assistance were sometimes longer than we would have liked, and meals were occasionally served less warm than expected. It’s also worth noting that nursing staff is on site from 8am to 8pm, which may be something to consider for residents with higher medical needs. Overall, we were pleased with the experience and appreciated the kindness and support shown to our family.
