Holbrook Life

This has been the best move for mom. She has really enjoyed living at The Holbrook. We picked this community for 3 reasons. 1) everything was inside the main building. 2) swimming pool was indoor and 3)closest to family. We would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Very pretty, clean, decorated like a nice hotel, tons of activities. My mom has a corner balcony with tons of her plants and room for family too. Staff is very friendly and kind to mom, and rooms have full size refrigerators in the kitchen area. The food is great with a big variety. Dogwood Forest is terrific in every way!

Very friendly, helpful and fun facility. Everything has been great. Highly recommend The Holbrook of Woodstock, all amenities are included. It feels like a resort hotel. It is a perfect place for retirement living.

We took a tour of this beautiful facility, Dogwood Forest in Grayson. My family and I were impressed with the staff and amenities. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. The Community Relations Director is incredibly nice, professional and an amazing tour guide. We recommend a tour.

My husband ended up at Dogwood Forest in Grayson. It was expensive but I would give it a 10+. The food is so important to the residents, the high light of their day. They have a 'real' chef there and I ate many meals there myself. So number one is meals. They also had awesome entertainment. Sometimes it was the staff other times outside people. They go above and beyond the standards. You should check it out yourself.

My loved one is currently a resident at The Holbrook of Woodstock and the experience has been mostly great. The cleanliness and friendliness are great. The food, however, is a hit or miss. They try to get fancy with the food. They have had a lot of turnover with the chef and staff. As for the activities, I would like to see a little more activities throughout the week and them get more creative with the activities.

I love that my mom adores the staff, that they are always so cheerful and loving. I do dislike that there does seem to be a high staff turnover rate. So we end up with staff that we absolutely adore and then all of a sudden they're gone. I wish they had more activities during the middle of the day. For example, I know my mother would love to play bridge more than just twice a week.

Very inclusive community and they encourage residents to meet and mingle with others there. They honestly have treated my mom like she is their mom. They keep the facility top notch and respond quickly to any and all requests. Great job of also keeping me and my family abreast of everything going on with our mom. First impression of the facility and how more than one representative of the facility came in to meet us and answer any questions. They have excellent follow up with you and are not pushy and say you need to make a decision by this date to lock in a rate.

It's been a great experience. Staff is attentive to my mother's changing needs. They know her by name and interact with her like a beloved family member. The personalized care sets it apart. The home she was previously at felt like a business. This is family. Bonus the food is good and they encourage family visits.

My Mom moved to Dogwood Forest from another community in the area. She has been at Dogwood Forest for over a year and she is thriving! What we noticed most about Dogwood Forest and the community she came from was the staff! Mom has the same caregivers and housekeepers since she moved in. (That was not the case at her last community). Mom loves the food. There are so many options and they are able to meet all her preferences and diet restrictions. She is always busy with a robust activity calendar. The place is very clean and has no smells. She loves sitting outside in the beautiful courtyard. When I go to bed at night, I smile know how well Mom is being taken care of.

We have a friend from church who lives at Dogwood Forest. We visit every week after church. We usually have lunch or just visit in the beautiful courtyard. Everyone is so friendly, the staff have been there forever and the food is always so good. The community is clean and the residents look well taken care of! 10 out of 10!

My mom is very happy there. She finds everyone working there to be very friendly and kind. The people that live there are friendly and kind. There is a lot of activity there with people doing all kinds of activities. She can do as much or as little as she would like. These are the factors that helped her choose Holbrook.

I would highly recommend The Holbrook of Acworth. All of the staff have been wonderful and always available for questions. The residents are friendly. My mom made friends right off the bat. She really likes the lady that cleans her apartment. We have had no problems at all. My mom loves being able to leave her room and have people around.

What our family likes the most about The Holbrook of Actworth is just how welcoming the people made our loved one feel. They made the entire family feel very welcomed and we would recommend this community to other families.

What our family likes the most about The Holbrook of Woodstock community is the overall friendliness of the staff members as well as the residents. They also have a lot of fun and different activities for the residents to participate in. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

I recommend it. We picked this community because of the tour and presentation. The interaction/communication with the staff is great.

It's expensive, but I feel like my dad is in a safe place and well cared for. The Holbrook has great staff who care a lot about the residents. It's a good community to be a part of.

Actually we are very happy. They do go above and beyond. Great communication as well. I would recommend this community to other families.

Dogwood is a great place for your mom or dad. The facility is top of the line and the entire staff are so nice, helpful and seem to genuinely care about the residents well being. They have all kinds of activities going on for the residents to stay busy and active. My mom has made new friends there and they socialize together all the time. Pet friendly atmosphere so my moms cat (name removed) was able to stay with her which really helped in the transition to Dogwood. They are not the cheapest but the value of what they do for the residents and family members is well worth every penny! Dogwood management team stays on top of everything and always there when you need them. They keep the facility in great condition and don't nickel and dime you on everything! If I had to go into an assisted living environment, I would pray to go to Dogwood Forest. Top notch 10 stars for me.
