The place was clean and bright. Staff friendly and efficient. Seemed like a wonderful place for my sister in laws mother.

The staff is attentive and caring. The food has good portion sizes, offers a variety of choices, and is served restaurant-style. The rooms are cleaned by staff twice a week, and laundry service is available on site. Salon and therapy services are also available on site. The staff checks in with residents daily and knows them by name. I would recommend the community to others.

My mom recently moved into Winnwood. [name removed] worked with us from the beginning tour to move in. She is very professional, kind and fun. All of the staff seem to love their jobs. They are available to support all of the tenants. It is like one supportive family. We are very excited about our mom living there. She feels welcomed by the staff and residents. She is already involved in a lot of the fun activities.

The activities are amazing and easily accessible. Staff are the best and willing to help in any way. Apartment is nice size for my dad... doesn't need any more room. My dad has really enjoyed being there! I feel safe and know he is being taken care of by the best!

We couldn't ask for a better staff. From administration to the care givers to the events coordinators. The cleanliness is top notch. Mom loves her apartment. She says it feels like home. The dining room and kitchen staff are wonderful. They do their best with what they get. My only negative would be there are only two weekly menus that rotate over and over week after week. Some of the meals are not healthy for mom's lower sodium diet. There are a few other offerings but it's all the same. It's just what the kitchen is sent to serve to the residents.

The facility was very nice, however my parents prefer single story living. The price was also above their budget.

From the moment we walked in I was so impressed. Greeted as we walked in the door. Everyone we came in contact with so polite and happy . The faculty was beautiful and super clean. The Director of Marketing gave us our tour and explained everything. Didn't need time to think about it ,asked right then what the next steps was to reserve an apartment. I truly feel my mother-in-law will be happy, safe and very well taken care of at Charter Senior Living of Oak Openings!!

Charter in Hopkinsville KY. The first thing I noticed was how the place was so quiet, decorated beautifully and smelled so nice and clean. The rooms are a good size for a single person, food is good and staff is friendly

I really enjoyed the tour with [name removed] and felt ready to sign on the dotted line but as it turns out, we are going with the [community removed] - mostly because of the cost - it's a bit cheaper there. With Charter being our first senior living facility to tour, I was so pleased and encouraged to see such a nice and homey place for the elderly. It really seems like Charter is offering all the right amenities to help make the elderly feel comfortable and for their caretakers to feel comfortable! Keep up the good work Charter!

5 for all. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Mom loves the trips out for lunch and ice cream. Beauty shop is just down the hall from her room. Delicious meals always with a dessert or bar. Studio deluxe is perfect size for my mom with private bathroom and refrigerator.

I cannot say enough good things about Charter Senior Living of Hazel Crest. I chose Charter for my mother after her brain surgery, and it became a true home for her and a source of comfort for our family. The staff was caring, consistent, and compassionate, and the facility was clean, welcoming, and well maintained. [names removed] and so many others showed genuine love and dedication to the residents and their families. In my mom’s final days, the care she received brought us great peace. [name removed] went above and beyond by staying with my mom after her shift so she would not be alone, and that compassion reflected the culture at Charter. I am deeply grateful for the compassionate care they gave my mother and the comfort they gave our family. I would highly recommend Charter Senior Living of Hazel Crest.

Host was very helpful. We got to see the facility and a typical apartment. We discussed costs and the waiting list. She also made some suggestions of similar places to visit.

The facility was very clean and seems very organized. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms I saw seemed to meet the needs I am looking for my mother. I really liked the different activities that the residents can engage in, and the social atmosphere was impressive.

My dad has adjusted better than I expected (esp. since he went from rehab hospital directly to Charter without returning to his home). He has friends he dines with, plays cards and bingo, enjoys when musicians come to perform. He is in a studio which he was unhappy about at first; we were trying to stretch his funds out as long as possible. He also arrived there using a wheelchair so that made sense. He now has a walker, and with that's his care plan is less expensive, and is happy with/used to the studio. Overall we're happy with the staff, care and facility at Charter.

Overall we like the place. Dad absolutely loves his apartment he just wishes that he had a balcony which they don't have and I understand. Most of the staff has been excellent. They have had a turnover in director of nursing, but the majority of the staff appear to be stable. I have had to follow up on Dad's care I don't think he was getting the level of care that we agreed upon when he went into the facility I feel as though he told them he could do more for himself than he could and they took his word for it instead of what is really going on. Communication is good the nurses call every issue that they've had my dad has a tendency to fall and they call as soon as they know about it. They have a variety of activities every week. I do think that they should try and encourage people to attend these activities more than they do.

5 across the board. I am so glad you recommended this place. My "cottage" is perfect. 2 bedrooms & baths, plenty of storage, garage for car and additional storage, front and back patios. I have areas to plant flowers if I choose to but yard in general is managed by lawn care. There is a monthly calendar sent to residents listing activities, entertainment and social occasions for any or all residents. I am very glad I made this move and that this site was recommended to me. Because it seemed so perfect, it was the first and only place I looked.
