Charter Senior Living

Wanted to send a thank you out to the caregiving and management staff at Charter Senior Living of Columbia for helping my mother through what turned out to be the final stages of dementia. The caregiving staff are kind, honestly seem to care about their residents, and we had more communications from the community and management in the few short months Mom was there than we had had with other assisted living facilities over the prior three years. While there were a few individual care issues, they were quickly and respectfully dealt with and on the whole I wish Mom had been able to spend more time there. Honestly, unhesitatingly recommend Charter Columbia for memory care.

[names removed] made our loved ones transfer to senior memory care seamless. They were able to answer all of our questions and provide information for bringing our loved one to Wisconsin from Florida. It was a big weight lifted off our shoulders with their help.

Stopped in for a tour and was pleased. The community was clean and well cared for, and the staff was genuinely kind and helpful. Everyone took the time to answer our questions, and it all felt very relaxed and welcoming.

My mom has lived at 2 other communities in town and she never really felt welcomed. Wellpoint has the friendliest staff and residents around!

The facility was great and the people very friendly. I would recommend KindCare at Bristol. I like that they have the ability to go out in the community. I saw the people in charge of the unit giving manicures to the residents. I felt very welcomed when I went to visit

Great place. Beautiful décor. Pleasant staff. Residents are welcoming. Always get a warm gesture a hello or a wave a smile from most all the residents. The staff is always friendly and willing to help.

Besides the cost, KindCare is great. The staff is attentive, the activities are fun, mom eats three good meals a day and gets her laundry done every week. If mom needs something the staff attends to it right away

Meeting [name removed]helped us make the decision for [name removed]to secure a place at Washington Senior Living. The Staff at a Place for Mom was so helpful in setting up this appointment. They followed up to make sure we had all of our answers

I had a great time touring the community. The property manager made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. They said they just had completed a renovation and the property looks amazing.

The staff, activity director and salesperson were all great. Really no complaints. Yes, we would recommend this community to others and we'd still be there if it was closer to home.

The sales staff and OT are 5 stars. Had a slight miscommunication with nursing but we were able to get it fixed. I'm in CA my brother is at the facility in IL. He seems to be happy there although he is still very weak and has not engaged in any activities.

I would rate everything a 5. The only category I hesitated on was the food — I considered giving it a 4, but that’s only because I’m a bit picky. Overall, Charter has been absolutely wonderful. I feel so fortunate that your company introduced us to Charter. It has truly been the best possible choice for my mom. The entire staff is amazing — from the front office to housekeeping and maintenance. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to any needs or questions. The community is very clean and has been beautifully updated throughout. We couldn’t be happier with our experience.

We were very happy with the facility. We used it as a Respite Facility for a hip replacement rehab. Due to pain issues, he had a very slow start on rehab. The rehab ended up having to be extended. All of the staff went out of their way to help accommodate his issues and needs and get him back home.

My sister & I were very worried that our mother would not like it, but she loves it there! We have been very pleased. Only complaints would b lack of itemized billing so we know exactly what is included w rent & what is extra. Apparently copy machine is broken so residents do not have their own copy of activities to post on their fridge. Fruit is not always readily available along w hot coffee as stated on tour

I love the staff and the food could not be better!

Very positive. Took lots of time with us to understand the needs and even future needs for my mom. Shared how they could work with us as a family. Definitely on our list of options. Still trying to understand affordability with needing this level of care. Have other tours coming up and will be able to do a better comparison then.

This is a beautiful facility. The staff are warm and welcoming and the director provided me with information specific to my family’s needs. Everything is clean and bright and residents appear happy and well cared for. The rooms are very nice and families can furnish the rooms to their individual taste. Family is welcome to visit at any time and special celebrations can be arranged in a private dining area. The surrounding area is busy, but Charter is set away from the noises. I’m sure anyone would be comfortable at Charter.

The admin people there were so friendly and accommodating. The room they showed us was so much better than the other two. Large and comfortable. The assist staff are friendly and helpful. My mom has actually improved greatly in the two months she has been there.
