Moved our Mother into Independent living apartment and she’s already loving it! So much to do and the chef makes amazing meals. The move was very easy and the staff are very welcoming. Beautiful grounds with pickle ball, walking trails and garden areas with ponds. The wellness center has chair yoga and other activities.

I have never seen a facility that worked so well together. I would recommend the facility.

Charter Living is a hidden gem. The staff makes the place seem like home. [name removed] the memory care coordinator, arranges high energy activities to keep the residents engaged and her laughter is contiguous! The facilities are well maintained and the food is good. All in all, Charter has been great for my mom and my family.

They always seem to care about each resident like they were family. My mom loves it. I tell them there all the time how wonderful they are. My mom's happy that's all that matters to me.

All of the employees went out of their way to be friendly. Several went above and beyond any of our expectations...my dad was loved and respected. They always treated all residents with dignity and respect. It is a loving environment.

[name removed] put aside the sales hat and took care of a senior in need, first and foremost. Prior to our signing on, she even took him McDonald’s one evening when he was supposed to show up for a “trial dinner” and failed to arrive. Maintenance was super quick to install his new TV and wall mount as well. They have made my Dad feel welcome and after years of decline, he’s now eating regularly, taking his medications and getting involved in social activities! All of this…just in his first week! I can’t thank Charter Senior Living at Gateway Park and their staff enough.

It's an excellent facility. Staff very professional and caring. Seems there is some sort of activity for everyone each week. Food is tasty and healthy and well prepared. Facility is always very clean. I feel very comfortable with my wife being there. I know she is being well cared for.

We would highly recommend Charter to others. Very important to us is the fact that the employees are kind to our dad and are quite competent. We are so glad that our dad is at Charter. We feel the staff at Charter are exceptional.

[name removed] gave the utmost professional presentation offered to me and explained everything of what Charter Memory care had to offer for my loved one. Other facilities failed at the 24/7 assistance needed at this time in my husband’s journey of dementia.

Everything was fantastic there. The only reason I put a 4 for the food is that I actually never ate there, but I did see the food. It was a total blessing for my mom to be there. They truly care for the residence in the families. [name removed], the lady in charge is fantastic. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families.

This is not a high skilled nursing facility, and the nursing staff are very limited on what they can do. The facility director [name removed] was excellent. She was very professional, courteous, attentive, and overall great to work with.

The Cottages in Fox Lake are outstanding, the people that work there are amazing. The definitely care about patients they take care of. Can't say enough about them.

My dad has lived at 2 other Assisted Livings in town and the care he received was terrible! Wellpoint is a GOD SEND! The staff loves him and spoils him, He is the happiest he has been since my mom died. Move your loved one to Wellpoint. You will have wished you did it sooner!

I would highly recommend Charter Senior Living of Columbia. The transition of my loved one from another state had the expected complications but the staff at Charter went out of their way to make the transition as smooth as could be hoped for. After my friend's admission, the staff showed a flexibility in finding the most appropriate way to deal with his dementia and his bilateral lower extremity paralysis. I have found the nursing staff interested in doing what is best regarding incontinence issues and nutritional support. Happy to support Charter Senior Living of Columbia.

5's all around, their staff would be their biggest asset , both facilities. Yes, we would recommend Charter Senior Living to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

The staff is friendly and caring. They've also been responsive when I've had questions about [name removed] care.

I have found that compared to where my mom previously, the management team and staff are a lot more involved and responsive. I have the cell phone numbers of all the people I communicate with on a regular basis and I didn't get this at her previous senior center. As with any place taking care of a loved one, you have to stay involved and let them know that you will be checking in regularly so that your loved one doesn't get lost in the chaos that can come about and there have been a couple of occasions where I have had to make my expectations known. Anything I have requested has been handled immediately and no concern has been treated as less than important. At her previous senior center there was no accountability for my mom's deteriorating health but at Charter, everyone is transparent and highly engaged in her becoming a better version of herself even when that baseline shifts.

A Big 5 on all. What I like most about the community is the great staff, they are very caring and treat you like family. They always make it feel like being at home. I would 1000% percent recommend it to others.

I am delighted with everything at the memory care unit at Charter. I was warmly welcomed by everyone I met and given great information before Dad moved in. I’ve been supported every step of the way which is particularly helpful as I don’t live in the USA so can’t visit regularly. The fact that Charter isn’t part of a faceless national chain makes it so much more personal, with staff being committed to great communication and openness. In contrast to previous placements, I genuinely don’t feel we are just there to generate income for the company. Friends who visit send glowing reports - Dad is treated with patience, kindness and courtesy and staff work hard to put his needs first, understand his personality and offer the best care I could wish for. His room is kept clean, his personal hygiene is attended to and staff work hard to help him feel safe and secure. They also accept and work around any difficulties that arise given his dementia and mobility issues.

The staff are very attentive and genuinely care. It is small enough that every resident gets a high level of care. It is bright and clean and the mood is always positive.
