Charter Senior Living

The sales staff and OT are 5 stars. Had a slight miscommunication with nursing but we were able to get it fixed. I'm in CA my brother is at the facility in IL. He seems to be happy there although he is still very weak and has not engaged in any activities.

We were very happy with the facility. We used it as a Respite Facility for a hip replacement rehab. Due to pain issues, he had a very slow start on rehab. The rehab ended up having to be extended. All of the staff went out of their way to help accommodate his issues and needs and get him back home.

My sister & I were very worried that our mother would not like it, but she loves it there! We have been very pleased. Only complaints would b lack of itemized billing so we know exactly what is included w rent & what is extra. Apparently copy machine is broken so residents do not have their own copy of activities to post on their fridge. Fruit is not always readily available along w hot coffee as stated on tour

I love the staff and the food could not be better!

Very positive. Took lots of time with us to understand the needs and even future needs for my mom. Shared how they could work with us as a family. Definitely on our list of options. Still trying to understand affordability with needing this level of care. Have other tours coming up and will be able to do a better comparison then.

This is a beautiful facility. The staff are warm and welcoming and the director provided me with information specific to my family’s needs. Everything is clean and bright and residents appear happy and well cared for. The rooms are very nice and families can furnish the rooms to their individual taste. Family is welcome to visit at any time and special celebrations can be arranged in a private dining area. The surrounding area is busy, but Charter is set away from the noises. I’m sure anyone would be comfortable at Charter.

The admin people there were so friendly and accommodating. The room they showed us was so much better than the other two. Large and comfortable. The assist staff are friendly and helpful. My mom has actually improved greatly in the two months she has been there.

They could maybe have more actives but sure they doing best they can and we would recommend the community to other families.

By far far better than the other two residences where my brother was located. And even though it's fire far far better it's $[removed]cheaper! He actually has a kitchenette now! He actually has a separate bedroom now! The staff and everyone there seems happy and friendly, including the residents we've talked to. Also, the meals are age-appropriate. Not a constant diet of Italian and Mexican as arc his previous location. Staff is prompt and answering questions. Basically there's no comparison to the two places he was before. I wish they would post the phone numbers of the different departments. It sometimes takes quite a bit of time to get information for current issues when I try to figure out who to contact.

What we like the most about the community are the day trips for memory care clients, and private rooms. Yes, we would recommend Charter Senior Living to other families based on the experience,

Amazing! I love Charter Senior Living!!! They are so good to all of the residents. [name removed], the director, takes excellent care of his workers and they take excellent care of the residents. I can't say enough good things about Charter. My mother-in-law loves it there!!!! We know not to visit during Bingo because she shoos us away! If they have a craft activity, we're encouraged to stay and participate. It really is a great place.

The Charter Facility is older. However it has the advantage of being on only one level. My apartment has a door to the outside as well as the inside hall. The staff is attentive and kind. There are many activities and crafts. A swimming pool is available and animals are allowed. The residents are from many states and Kentucky counties, and they create a caring community. The cost is competitive for our area.

The community is small, easy to navigate without getting confused and the staff members are friendly.

We are very happy with Charter Senior Living of Dedham. I would recommend these folks to others. The facility is nice. The staff is caring and competent.

This is easy! I give them a 5 on everything except maybe a 3 on the food. It's okay but not great. The staff is so friendly and efficient and take great care of [name removed]. the residents are friendly too. My brother keeps saying that he really likes being there. Which is huge.

The main thing I appreciated about The Cottages when I was looking for a place for my sister, was they evaluate and treat each potential resident on an individual basis. Other facilities have cookie cutter criteria. Everyone is lumped into the same level based on their test scores. No regard for the things they can do. Everything was based on what they can't do. The Cottages didn't focus entirely on my sister's test scores. They saw past what she was struggling with and focused on the positive things she could do! Everyone is upbeat, patient, and caring. I'm so happy that the caregivers encourage my sister to participate in activities. She has rarely missed an activity since she's been there because of the staff's encouragement, so she is making new friends. The activities are many, fun, inclusive, and engaging. Also, the outings they have planned for January look great! The place sparkles! The only thing I can't rate is the quality of the food, because my sister has trouble expressing her opinion. But I will say I appreciate that they tell every resident before the meals, what is being served, and if they don't like or want what is being served, they can pick something else. The Cottages are homey. Their buildings only house 16 residents, so everyone gets individual attention. One other point of positivity for The Cottages is their pricing is more reasonable than many other places I checked. You get a lot for your money there.

The best move my mom could make. She is well-loved and cared for.
