So my aunt moved to Southern Pines, March 2025. She has been there over a year now and with her move into memory care and with the care of [name removed] and many of the staff there she has now become more confident and more comfortable in her settings. Before she was in her room day and night and now she comes out and interacts with others and participates and seems to be doing well. I am very happy with her progress and find comfort with her caregivers.

They are definitely warm and welcoming. They're very engaged personally with the residence. In general, the place smelled very clean. The on boarding could've been improved in that. It felt a little bit clustered and disorganized. That however, was compensated by their very accommodating nature towards the residence and their families.

Everyone from the administration to the staff has been super friendly and helpful and I feel she is in very good hands. I would absolutely recommend them to others who are searching for care for their loved one.

I recently visited my father at Southern Pines, where he has been a resident for a year and a half, I can’t give enough praise for the Southern Pines staff for the job they do, [name removed] and her staff work tirelessly to make sure everyone is taken care of, it takes special people to do what they do every day and they surely are that. Our family sleeps so much better now knowing our dad is so well taken care of again thanks to Southern Pines and there caring staff.

My brother and I recently attended the Father’s Day luncheon and it was a great effort from the staff at the memory care facility. They really hustled getting food out to everyone which was very good. I know all but a couple of the staff by name and I have been very satisfied over the last year and half my dad has been there. Their attitude is always good. Thank You!

My dad has dementia and I know he can be a bit much at times but I have to complement the staff. They all handle his different moods gracefully which gives me peace of mind. I would especially like to mention [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed] for always taking that extra step to accommodate dad. All the staff is wonderful! Thank you all for doing a great job!

This is a wonderful place to live! My husband and I both love our villa. The people are all great, especially [name removed] and [name removed] who showed us the place.

This place is clean, orderly, engages residents in outings, exercises, games, etc. it’s just beautiful. The staff is like family and care about each resident. My husband gets wonderful care and is more active than when he was at home. He participates in exercises and other things they do at Southern Pines. I highly recommend them if you are needing a place to put your loved one that will be cared for.

We have received excellent service and care. The staff have answered every question that we have had! We are so grateful for Southern Pines Assisted Living and Memory Care! We absolutely love [name removed] and [name removed]!

It is aways awesome to see how well the staff takes good care of the people there. I love seeing the pictures they take and share with us. They keep them active so I believe their spirits are better knowing they are being taken good care of. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs their loved ones taken good care of. And I also think it's nice how they celebrate so many times.

Mom began living in the Gardens building. During her time there she was involved in many activities & met wonderful new friends. When the time came for memory care, Mom moved to the Flourish building. She was well cared for by the staff. Eventually we had to have Hospice come to help. Everyone was loving and caring until the end. I am grateful for my Charter Living Family.

Very friendly and welcoming. Answered all our questions at the initial meeting and are very good about answering our pop up questions. Only on going issue is serving size, since they serve individually my friend frequently says it's too much.

Clean and very sufficient space. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Residents appear happy and engaged. Sister in law has been quite happy and is very hard to please especially when it comes to food. The food is very good and plenty of choices

Every other facility I checked out, only focused on the negative and what my sister couldn't do. Because she scored so low on the cognitive tests, they immediately wanted to put her in memory care. But I was adamant she wasn't ready for that step. She's still independent and quite social. Is she forgetful? Absolutely, but she can follow direction and take care of her personal needs. She doesn't wander and is very sweet. The Cottages was the first place that recognized her for what she could still do. Will she need memory care at some point? Most likely. But The Cottages treats her as an individual and not in a mold someone else set with test perimeters. And I REALLY appreciate that!

The staff was exceptional. Both support and admin. The turnover seemed high but support for Mom truly cared. They not only took care of Mom but also were helpful and caring with family members. The management side seemed to have alot of turnover. However they were all very helpful and informative. It was a good experience for my mom. I know this by the fact she asked only One time about her house which was when she first for there. She called it her home at charter.

5 stars as far as on site staff. In regards to the dining room, the wait staff did not always seem very happy and the tables were not always the cleanest. With exception to the dining room, the legacy was clean and in good condition.

It was a lovely visit. I felt so comfortable and at home my upcoming room is gorgeous. Everyone was so friendly and kind.

Very kind, considerate and attentive staff. Activities readily available for all. Moderately priced.

Everyone is so nice and great team work in attending to all that live there . So many activities and the food is A+

Beautiful facility! The communication, the cleanliness of the facility and the resident rooms, the food and its presentation and how friendly and caring everyone was.
