Facility is new, spotless and in very good repair. It is quiet inside the facility and the facility is located in the middle of farm lands, so has zero outside noise. The staff is exceptionally friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable to assist in any way needed. The always great residents and guests with a cheerful smile and warm greeting.

Had an issue with our contract and it was rectified very quickly. The staff in memory care is wonderful and very attentive. The room size is great, bathroom is very large. They offer many activities and in memory care they make sure the residents are attending them. The only improvement I would say is that their administration staff could communicate a bit better with each other

The Woodlands at Canterfield is beautiful so well appointed and the staff seems absolutely wonderful! The apartments are very nicely done with lots of amenities and space and so light and bright. When the time comes it will be my number one choice!

Answered all my questions. Showed rooms I was interested in. Was knowledgable and prepared. Expected my visit. Told me of future building plans...no surprises. Kind and considerate of my time needed to make decisions. 5 Stars!

In her time at University Place, my mother has experienced Independent Living, the skilled nursing Wellness Center, and Memory Care. All of the staff I have met along the way have been exceptionally kind, caring, and competent. Jeannie, the marketing agent, was patient and informative when we (my husband and I) first met her, total newbies to the whole world of residential care facilities. She explained how finances, etc. worked, and kept in touch throughout the waitlist period. When Mom was accepted into Independent Living, Jeannie and Raleigh, the maintenance manager, made sure her apartment was renovated and thoroughly painted (Mom got to choose any color of paint for each room) by her move in date. Her apartment was roomy and beautiful , with her own balcony, washer/dryer, and dishwasher. Mom had to stay in the Wellness Center for several weeks while she recovered after a hospital stay. The staff there were lovely; as kind to me, as a concerned and somewhat bewildered family member, as they were to the patients. The combined staff (nurses, physical therapists, overseeing doctors, etc.) all met with me to determine the best next placement for Mom, which was the Memory Care unit. Mom has been in Memory Care for several months. The staff are very caring, and so patient, dealing with her incontinence issues without shaming her, and balancing her need for independence within safety concerns. The staff deals with challenging personalities and behaviors among the residents with grace, patience, care and affection. Mom has her own little apartment with a separate sitting room, and bed is changed and all laundry done as needed. There is a full time activities director who plans daily diversions. Gary, the residential manager, knows each patient and their family members, and always has time to discuss any concerns; he is extremely approachable and accessible.

We love Marion Village! Super staff and lovely accommodations...I would recommend it as my mother in law seems very happy and they have transportation to take her shopping / Dr appointments.

The staff is wonderful and engages in activities with the residents. I find them top notch in interacting with everyone. [name removed] is the absolute best and I am so happy she persuaded me to give them a chance with my mother. She acts likes it there. Only bad thing I can say is she is not overly thrilled with the food. They could possibly do better there. A+ I would have bet money my mother would not have been happy and would be begging me to take her home. Only been a month but she is already coming around and seems to love having her own place. Plenty of daily activities and weekly bus trips. Her favorite is Friday happy hour.

The initial impression of the building and interior that attracted us. We wouldn't have selected this place if the care was subpar. But the first impression kept us interested to find out more. The staff and residents are also extremely welcoming. Care has been great.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were used to a large home and transitioning to 800+ square feet is not easy. The location of the Astral is ok. We would recommend this to others.

You can use my name and post the review. It is the best place to make your loved one feel safe and comfortable just like home. The staff inspires confidence, creativity and love of self and others. Mom went through an emotional growth to positivity and hope.

Mom has lived in three complexes and this one is outstanding. The entire staff (desk personnel, cleaning folks, maintenance men and dining crew)have been so sweet and helpful as my mother navigates her life after losing my dad this past year. The environment is clean and bright. Always fresh smelling.

Mom lives in an apartment. The staff is so friendly. She gets 2 meals a day that is included in her rent. Housecleaning is also included. There are activities all the time. Every Friday they have " happy hour". Dining room is always clean. They decorate everywhere with special things according to seasons and holidays. They have two party rooms, an exercise room, crafts etc. I give everything a strong 5.

All the facilities we had checked out were approximately the same price. My dad has felt welcomed here and enjoys the activities. I think he is most pleased with the meal selection. I highly recommend Woodlands at Canterfield.
