The Waters Senior Living

The staff/nurses that take care of mom are very friendly and talk to her often. they are patient and attentive to her needs She has a studio and it is spacious. the bathroom is large to accommodate lifts. it is always clean when I come to visit The Waters has many events and activities for the residents I would rate the food a 4 after visiting a few times. meals are hit or miss. Some are very good and others are average.

I've been here a little over a year I have not ever experienced such a wonderful time living in a independent complex. Staff is wonderful they're very accommodating to anything you need. The food is great different menu every week you can eat in the café or the dining room there is a $[removed] food plan in addition to your rent that you start each month and it goes down as you eat but you do get a 10% discount on every meal so it is a savings. We have a theater they show movies four nights a week we have exercise room we have a library we have a bus that takes us on trips to restaurants to movies to other activities in the area being 86 years old I still drive but not at night so there is a charge for underground parking of $[removed] a month and I have a large storage unit with a lock door on it that is an additional $[removed] a month I have a 729 square-foot apartment kitchen with an island living room bedroom good size bathroom walk-in closet washer and dryer enclosed opposite my walk-in closet. We have a deacon that comes twice a month with communion for who wants it he also was here with ashes on Ash Wednesday. I cannot think of anything that I need that is not available. We have a beauty parlor every Wednesday there is a beautician here we have a nursing staff that can be used for the independent they are also in charge of our memory care patients.

My dad feels known by all staff, multiple "hello's using his first name when he's in the building. Staff in shows kindness friendliness, compassion. Weekly Thursday social hours are very inclusive, often themed, with staff participation. Appetizers and beverages. sometimes musicians as well. Lots of daily social opportunities, interspersed through the day and into early evening.

Staff from Management to housekeeping to maintenance have all been receptive and prompt. The community of residents are fantastic. Apartments are larger and more open than other comparable facilities we visited.

Facility is clean, no complaints on Care and I have a camera on the door and see and hear how they treat my mom. We have a corner room so it is bigger than others and has an extra window. Those are limited and my mom likes it. Food wise they work with us as my mom is very picky but they do have good food and provide a weekly menu to us on email and to my mom in her room. We pay to get her had done once a week as they had someone come on site.

They have been excellent! Staff is very attentive and caring. The do a good job keeping families in the know about their loved ones. They also helped with a smooth transition into the facility. They have lots of activities for residence and do everything they can to keep them engaged. facility is clean and brooms are spacious.

Staff knew the answers to my questions. Anything I asked was shown to me or explain thoroughly. I have welcoming materials. Everything looks great. This is a two bedroom. Nice storage. Storage locker provides space for seasonal decorations and out of season items. Also fresh coffee!

My mother in law is having a great time. The other residents have been so friendly and they have a real sense of community.

I was a director at an assisted living facility for several years in the twins cities. I never had to use any organizations like yours because I kept my facility full. You just recommended places for me to tour and I was aware of all of these places. I the caregiver did all the work not you touring several facilities. I have known of your organization , "A Place for Mom", for several years. I have work with seniors and families for 30 years. The thing that bothers me the most is how much you charge the facilities. When the caregiver/family member is the one doing all the work as they are looking for placement for their loved one. You say you a free to the family member/caregiver but you are not free because the facility is the one that pays you when the resident moves in. I know what you charge facilities and it is not cheap. The family member/caregiver should know this up front so they can decide if they want to use you or not.

This is an active community, very caring staff, and, for my mom, they are responsive with medical questions or issues. I am my mom's person, and I am very communicative with administration and medical staff. I have heard that things are more difficult when the resident has no, or few, relatives to help. Residents can find it difficult to navigate the assisted living process without an advocate. That's what some have told me. By and large, residents are happy with services and amenities here. My mom is very pleased to be at The Waters of Highland Park... Me, too!

Facilities are beautiful. Restaurant and its staff are the best. I recommend.

They were flexible with their services. Maintained a very nice facility. Welcoming and caring staff. Dining was a nice variety and of good quality.

the team was very helpful in getting mom a room as we had to move her quite quickly from her previous retirement home. they were responsive and communicated well with us during the process. they have also been very good with communicating with us recently as mom had a couple falls. they have professional artists that come in and sing which is a big plus. the facility is quite nice and the location is two miles from my sisters home.

Broadwell Senior Living was the perfect choice for us. All of the staff we have encountered have treated us with respect, understanding, and a very professional, caring attitude. My mother is the happiest I have seen her in recent years. She has met many people in the “community” that she already considers friends! Thank you, Broadwell!

I love the staff, and all of the amenities, the food menu is great. I'm glad to know that my brother will be able to transition to any future health needs there without having to leave. I would recommend Kingsley to anyone looking for a place for a loved one.

The staff is lovely for the most part. High turn over as most facilities like this have. The nursing staff take great care of my cantankerous mother. They have a camera policy and I have a camera on her door that I can stream and hear sound at any time. Which is for her safety and she still has privacy.

Broadwell is currently switching to a different management company (The Waters). Communication with staff is generally thru message left with receptionist or in phonebox; one-on-one verbal, mostly with aides. In addition to the memory care unit, there are 3 floors of independent/dependent living (senior living).

Employees go out of their way to help, the food is very good, and it not too big a building where they'll get lost. I would recommend to others.
