My mother has been at this location for three months and she loves it here. [name removed] and the rest of the staff always take very good care of her. I am very thankful for [name removed] and [name removed]. They not only do a wonderful job caring for her but they also show her LOVE. My mother also is very happy with the meals and looks forward to eating everyday.

The staff is great, the food is great, the apartment size is great, the place is clean. I have no complaints at all, it's been a great experience so far. I would absolutely recommend them to others who are searching for senior living for their loved one.

I think, overall, I'm pretty happy with Gemstone, but I'm going with what Dad says. A. I don't know what activities they offer, and I don't know if my Dad is that interested in them. I do believe he needs to get involved in life outside his apartment, but he has been hesitant. B. I can't comment about the value for the money. We were in a time crunch, Gemstone was closest, and it is actually less expensive (by nearly $[removed]/month) compared with the other place we looked. I like the staff and the facilities. I'm a retired Austin firefighter, and I've been in *a bunch* of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and senior apartments, and Gemstone is up there with the nicer places.

Facility is nice, clean and staff is friendly. My dad is well taken care of. I liked the place for mom experience as well. Filled out a form online and you all reached out and made it easy for our family.

Very welcoming and homey feel. Spacious and well kept. Good lighting. Good size rooms and many opportunities for residents to interact with each other. At the top of our list.

The facility was warm and welcoming… especially the staff who took time to introduce themselves and their respective roles. Lots of activities, great food options for all levels and larger rooms. It’s on the top of our list for a prospective place for Mom.

What stands out most is the kindness from the staff and it's so helpful to know that you all care for the residents.

My father is now a resident at Brookdale Shadowlake. It was a very hard decision to go to assisted living, however it was the only option. The staff really care about the residents and truly get to know them. The facility is clean with many activities available. I never would have thought my very independent dad would settle into assisted living , but he is actually thriving. I have also made new friends with the staff too. They have made a difficult part of life much less stressful. Highly recommend Brookdale.

When my Brother died I promised to take care of his wife. I found brookdale and they have been so good to her and helped us navigate during a difficult time. The executive director has been a blessing.

The staff are very attentive, compassionate and professional. They go above and beyond to provide excellent care and support services for the patients and we are confident we made the right choice for dementia care for our family member. My sister seems much more calm and relaxed. She has adjusted well. Brookdale has called and sent emails to update me. The staff is positive and available.

They brought my sister from the hospital and set her up for hospice. Expedited making her have home at Brookdale. Incredibly effectively and very lovingly.

The tour of the facility on Hamilton Wolfe was excellent. My sister who is the candidate for this location loved it. We hope to one day, to be able to accommodate my sister at this location.

These responses are based on my experience. My father is the resident - he may have other opinions. However, what we like the most about the community is the friendly and warm welcoming staff.
