Overall, it’s a good place to stay. I am fortunate and blessed to be here. Facilities are good. It’s home for me in my physical situation. It’s not far from my kids. Brookdale supplies all I need to keep up my quality of life. I feel like it will extend my life.

Very welcoming staff and community. They have learned the names of my brothers and my children and they greet us by name whenever we show up. They treat my mother and us with kindness, dignity, and respect. The food has been wonderful - good variety and nice quality.We really liked the size of this facility and the way each building has its own sense of family within the staff and residents. Other places we looked were much larger and we felt Mom wouldn't get the personalized care and attention we wanted her to have. We also toured a smaller facility and felt that was too confined. Shadowlake was really the Goldilocks of assisted-living facilities for us!

My visit was excellent. All staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. The residents seemed happy and well cared for. The facility was very clean and appealing.

This has truly been the most remarkable experience you could ever for from them helping with the move in and making the move as effortless as possible. To being available when we need them the most. They have gone above and beyond with my moms care. They make sure she feels right at home all the time. Even when the days for he, they make sure that she is in good hands and well taken care of. This place has truly been remarkable in everything and my mom could not be happier to be here. She enjoys the activities but especially happy with her new friends

My loved one was a resident at Kincare for a short time and the experience at this facility was great. The cleanliness and friendliness were great. The care services, meals, activities and value for cost were also great. The staff was wonderful to my loved one and to me also. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Facility admin and staff provided thorough direction and guidance on supporting residents and their families by utlizing pisitive, effective and beneficial psychological services 1-2 times weekly. Great facility.

We picked this community, because due to recommendations and facility feedback. The staff overall is very attentive to the individual needs of each resident. It us not a one size fits all approach. I would recommend. This facility is well respected in the San Antonio area. They spend as much time handling family needs as they do the resident needs.

My family and loved one have had a great experience with the community. The community has always been clean when we visit our loved one. Everyone seems to be friendly. The staff are caring, helpful, and knowledgeable. One thing we would suggest is to make sure about all the add-ons to the initial pricing.

Mom mom loves when they bring in animals for a visit. She gets to love on a very friendly dog every time they visit. They make an extra effort to bring the dog to her room if she is not in the activity center. The live music is also a big hit with my mom. She just can't stop smiling and singing along.

I moved my mother to Brookdale Creekside after my father passed away in February. They were married 76 years an had been in a memory care facility in Missouri. At her age (96) that was a lot of changes for her confused state of mind. The staff at Brookdale has been amazing, loving on her and making her feel special. The facility is always clean and a cheery atmosphere. The activities director plans very creative things throughout each day for them to do. As with the other staff she truly loves each resident. I am very blessed to have found Brookdale for my mother!

The Professionals at Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe are friendly, knowledgeable and caring. When we visit my Mom in Memory Care, she lights up around all of the staff. They have given my Mom an opportunity to live her life with dignity, while being cared for in a thoughtful and professional manner.

I think my favorite part is the amount of activities they offer for the residents. I LOVED the fact that they made my mom a part of the menu committee and took notes to give her to make her a part of something. If I had to make a suggestion for improvement, I'd just suggest that they keep an eye on the patients like her who go to dialysis to make sure they don't miss out on outings or shopping events because she goes to dialysis M/W/F from 10-3, she tends to miss out on things that only occur those days/times. Other than that, I'd say they do an excellent job involving her.

I toured this facility and it was my second choice. I loved our tour guide here and also loved that the facility is Memory Care only. They were slightly higher on their daily respite care rate.

My mother has been at BAL for a year and has never been happier. I have not met one staff member who isn’t caring and attentive. It’s a small facility, so every staff member knows every resident well and makes sure they are taken care of 24/7. My mother is severely hearing impaired, almost blind, and uses a walker. The staff go out of their way to make sure that she feels safe and reassured. Staff are wonderful about communicating with family members, so I always know what’s going on. I never worry about my mother, even when I am out of town. The place is clean and bright, modern but cozy. Meals are good, and there are several activities throughout the week to enhance socialization, creativity, physical fitness, learning, etc. The location in the hill country is beautiful and peaceful. It is one story with front and back porches. As a geriatric psychologist who has worked in several long-term care facilities, I truly consider this place a gem. My sisters and I are so grateful for BAL!

Excellent in all ways Great food Nice atmosphere and clean knowledgeable staff

The staff is wonderful, everyone is very kind to my mother, her needs are met, I don't have to worry because she is in good care and she is happy.....which matters most.
