In [name removed] my husband, [name removed] was misdiagnosed with a virus for nine days before it was determined he had a brain bleed. After a week in the hospital he was released to a rehab facility where he suffered a stroke and also went completely blind. He almost died from a stage 4 pressure wound in November. In [date removed] he was to be released and I needed to find a nurse owned facility due to his wound. I was referred to Caring Arms One. I met with the owners [name removed] and [name removed] and when they visited [name removed]and saw how large his wound was (you could put your fist in it) I was worried they would not accept us but they took it as a challenge. The first week was rough with [name removed] being blind and sick but after that he was relaxed and content. [name removed] always knew when an infection was coming ... He was hospitalized about 20 times during his stay. Sadly, [name removed] passed away in [date removed] but he was always well cared for and never afraid. Our journey was a difficult one but I always knew [name removed] was well cared for ??

When my brother’s health began to decline, I was overwhelmed—not just by the complexity of his medical needs, but by the emotional toll it took on both of us. He required intensive wound care, diabetes management, PEG tube feeding, hospice support, and memory care. It felt like an impossible task to find a place that could handle all of that with compassion and competence. Then we found Magnolia Adult Family Home. From the moment we walked through the door, I felt a sense of peace. The staff didn’t just treat my brother’s conditions—they treated him like a person. They understood his emotional needs, his fears, and his moments of confusion. They were patient, gentle, and incredibly skilled. Every nurse, caregiver, and administrator went above and beyond to ensure he was comfortable, safe, and respected. Watching my brother smile again, even in the midst of such a difficult chapter, was something I’ll never forget. Magnolia became more than a care facility—it became a sanctuary for h

Caring Arms has been a life saver for my family and I. I cannot express how wonderful they have been for my Dad. We tried a bigger place, but it didn’t work and he needed a place more like a home. Caring Arms only has up to six adults at one time, so they take such great care of everyone. The food is home cooked and it’s always so clean. My Dad loves them so much there. Thank you for taking such good care of him when we couldn’t.

This is a beautiful home and the owner is wonderful. I have minimal concerns about this facility being totally secure. I also worry about the ability to keep my mother-in-law stimulated. However, we are putting her in their care. It's a difficult decision, but I feel we've made the right one.

Clean and comfortable home with good caregiver to client ratio. Private rooms with large family/common room and kitchen. Additional front sitting room great for visits. Hand prepared meals served three times daily.

The caregivers are extremely rude and not welcoming at Caring Arms Adult Family Home. I haven't seen them do any activities. Most of the patients are highly medicated and sleeping. The owners of this place are great. The caregivers on the other hand are so rude and antisocial. They do seem to take good care of the patients which is all that matters.

My husband was a resident at their Sumner house for about 3 months. During that time he lost 30 pounds and his behavior became unmanageable. After removing him from their care he has gained weight and his behaviors are managed. The food they offer is processed and frozen at most meals. There is little to no nutritional value in a lunch of white bread, processed packaged sandwich meat, potato chips and store brand Oreo cookies. The 3 slices of canned peaches might have some nutritional value buried in the heavy syrup. The $[removed] a month they charged was not money well spent. They didn’t inform me when my husbands feet and legs swelled and their staff did not know how to care for a resident with Lewy Body dementia. Staff members called my husband nicknames which is very confusing to dementia patients. One staff member said “that’s your wife? I thought I was your wife” to my confused and vulnerable husband. They are not a good choice in my opinion.
