Sungarden Terrace

The facility appears to be very well located and well maintained. The brief interactions that we had with the existing residence was positive. We are seriously considering this facility for our loved one when the time comes that we need to make a change.

I have toured many boarding care and assisted living facilities this one tops them all. From the welcoming entrance of the home, to the daily activities offered, clean bright rooms, friendly and engaging staff, dining room, back patio area, cleanliness of the building and underground parking, wonderful! My mom loved it! [Name Removed] showed us around and answered all of our questions and concerns. I believe this is the place for my mom.

[Name Removed] was very helpful during my tour of the facility. The facility is designed so the residents can move about freely. They can walk outside and sit at the patios. My wife likes to walk and can do so when ever she likes. She met her roommate and they started talking to each other very helpful knowing she would have a nice roommate.

I thought it was very nice. Staff seems caring. I was introduced to an employee that had been there over 20 years. The residents engaged with staff in a friendly manner. Clean well kept facility. Loved the easy access to outside walking and patio areas. Per conversation they handle all the details from seeing that hearing aids are charges to diets.

It is very nice but it's too expensive for us. I would very much for my family member to be able to stay there.

My experience with Sungarden Terrace has been nothing but positive and I give it a 5 rating. The facility is warm and inviting as are the staff. They are efficient and caring and proactive if I have any concerns. [name removed] the Administrator Is always approachable and willing to sit go the extra mile. She expedited a Hospice Care team and walked me through the paperwork. The activities especially the music programs energize the residents. Food is very tasty and varied. My sister [name removed] in Memory Care is settling in well and I feel very confident she is getting the best care

Staff is friendly warm helpful with residents, family and friends and among themselves. They treat one another and residents/family/friends that way. Responsive responsible follow through on requests, tasks and good answers on questions or find out for you. They smile and like working there. Food is good. My husband likes it. They communicate well with specialists and professionals with VA over the phone e.g. Good with 911 and follow up. Place is clean. Great entertainment daily for residents, great and fun with good food special celebrations as well next to holidays. Director is wonderful easy accessible and available.

All I can tell you is they have been terrific to me. There was so much care to work things out when we really needed to act in a hard situation. [name removed] and all of the staff was really good. Thank you so much for helping us get there.

5 across the board! They were the only facility to ask first about my father in law as a person instead of showing us the cost. When he died, they sent a note with multiple people's personal messages of condolences. My father in law loved the food, and the people . His girlfriend who had visited both facilities (Sungarden and [community name removed]) chose the move into Sungarden because she liked it so much. They really felt like family .

The staff have been so wonderful! They went above and beyond to help make my Dad's transition as smooth as possible. They maintain consistent outreach and send me regular updates on his status. The facility is always very clean and tidy. They have great activity offerings each day and the common areas are very comfortable for residents and guests. The outdoor patio provides a safe way for residents to enjoy fresh air without having to leave the property. It's just been the best fit possible for my Dad and I'm grateful it worked out.

I've been here for two years. It's perfect for me. Nicest people on the staff. They are helpful, kind, and care about all of us residents. Love my room food is good, activities are geared for elderly if I'm sick someone comes and helps me. Also we have someone that drives us to doctors etc.

Living at Harbor Terrance has been a wonderful experience for me. The staff and services here are extremely friendly and helpful and accommodate all my needs. They are all like a second family to me. Love them all.

Before coming to Harbor Terrance. I was living by myself. Coming here has been the best choice for me. I don't feel alone anymore, and everyone here treats me with love and respect.

The staff is very attentive and is willing to work with me on fulfilling basic needs. A well planned variety of activities promote social interaction. The meals are very nutritious.

Upon moving to San Pedro. I moved my mother here to be near her. After researching care facility in the area we chose Harbor Terrace. We made the right choice! The activities and meals are great. The staff is caring and compassionate. Awesome place to call home.

Living at Harbor Terrance has been an experience that I never had planned but after living here for 2 years. I'm happy that Harbor Terrance was chosen. The staff and serves at HT are very friendly and most helpful and take care of my needs. They have become family. Thank you.

So much enjoyment. People are nice, a lot of activities to be in value with, there is something going all the time. The employee are very helpful at all times.

I would recommend Harbor Terrace to anyone who asks The food is excellent! The staff is fantastic. I have resided at another home which I would never recommend to anyone. You can't go wrong with H.T.

My husband and I had to find a new place for his father because he was requiring more care. We toured several places and knew we found the right place with Sungarden Terrace. This was the first place where they asked us about our loved one first, what he was like etc instead of the price. That told us that residents were important to this community. The food is incredible, and it’s hard to please my father in law! When I wanted to move my mom over, the director pointed out they couldn’t use the lift in their facility for her wheelchair and she would have to be in bed the whole time. She told me it looked like my mom was still enjoying her day being out with others and said she wouldn’t move her if it was her mom. SHE put my mom above getting herself another resident, another paying customer. Now that is truly a family feel! It’s clean, has fun activities and the people there are loving! What more could you want?
