Sungarden Terrace

My wife and I have been living here for just about one year. It's been good, very good really. We are here on an independent basis for now--apart from cooking and cleaning--and will secure assistance in the future as needed. Our living quarters, two rooms, are in excellent condition. Very comfortable, very clean. The staff are friendly, competent, and committed. Lots of activities. Secure underground parking for our car. Meals provided three times a day. Generally good food. The menu for the day is provided early in the morning, so one can select an alternative if need be. About average monthly costs when compared to other facilities we looked at before choosing Harbor Terrace. Nice location if you like to walk, as we do. Overall, then, no complaints, and much to appreciate.

Living in a Retirement Community is a new experience for me. As with any new experience, there are ups and downs and adjustments are necessary. Community living isn't for everyone, but I can honestly say that after almost a year at Harbor Terrace I am very happy with my new home. In making our decision, location was our highest priority (to be close to our son and his family). Other considerations were the number and types of activities offered, the overall atmosphere, the dining arrangements and, of course, price. I have found Harbor Terrace meets my needs in all of these ways but, most importantly, the staff are fantastic! I appreciate the respect, friendliness, care and concern of all the staff, every day in every way. I am also unexpectedly pleased to find I have made many new friends with whom I share conversation, music, activities and laughter. My social connections have expanded immensely since I became part of the Harbor Terrace Community. Lucky me!

We were enthralled by the welcoming atmosphere of Sungarden Terrace Assisted Living and Memory Care from the minute we entered. The building has been meticulously maintained and is constructed to make occupants feel at home. A true testimony to the'sungarden' in its name, it is a vast, sunny sanctuary that skillfully combines inside comfort with lush, outdoor splendor. Mom was going to be transferred from [removed] shortly, as we planned.

Based on the experience we have had so far with the Sungarden Terrace Assisted Living and Memory Care community, we would 100% recommend the to other families looking for a place for their loved one.

Mom is happy, smiling and engaged in activities with the staff and other residents. The staff asks questions about mom's likes and dislikes and they tailor her care with those things in mind. The staff also shows interest in the entire family. We are so happy with everything at this facility and more importantly, Mom is too. Very much so. It is cozy, warm and welcoming. She is always doing something fun when we visit her now at Sungarden. The Sungarden staff remembers our names and details about our family. They make us feel like they care about all of us, not just mom.

The staff there and the management were so friendly and helpful. I really wish that I could have gone with this facility. When I got my mom placed it was an emergency situation and another facility had called us back first. That is the only reason we did not go with them. I wish that mom would have gone here because I think her experience would have been much better.

We found the staff to be very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The meals and dining service is wonderful and excluding covid they did their best with the activities.

I like that this is a smaller facility so there personal attention but there is still a lot of activity variety. I would definitely recommend this community to others

The overall layout of the community and the rooms they provide the residents there would be a five out of five.

This place has been great. My mom has dementia and has been difficult to deal with, but the wonderful people at Sungarden have been diligent in trying to make things better and have been very patient. Everyone is friendly. They keep families updated on events going on there. I wish my mom could enjoy those events because they sound awesome! Unfortunately she is too far gone to appreciate it. I highly recommend this place.

They made the move in process pretty seamless. The staff are very accommodating to all of our needs. They focus on the individual, which is awesome. The caregivers know each individual resident personally. The place is beautiful. The interior is newly remodeled and renovated. It is truly awesome. I will most definitely recommend this community.

They have a really good staff in memory care. The food is excellent and they have a gourmet chef. Their events for families are amazing. Their outdoor space is excellent. It is an older building. They have the halls nicely lit and painted and are decorated beautifully. I have recommended Sungarden Terrace to other people. We are really happy at Sungarden Terrace.

[Name removed] gave us a thorough tour and a comprehensive description of the staff and facility. They clearly do a very good and caring job with the residents here.

They were like a second family to us. My mother was well loved and cared for.

this place is amazing, its is a home away from home, [Removed] is wonderful, with the help from the very friendly staff , my mom adjustment went very smooth. mom is safe ,this is a huge relief, mom looks forward to meal time she love it and she starting to enjoy the activities. I looked at several places and kept coming back to Harbor Terrace, Its nice and by the water. The people that live here seem so happy there. The staff here are friendly and attentive to him. They keep the community clean and well maintained, it has a nice courtyard he enjoys. Lots of activities such as music and comedy entertainment, Even a Happy Hour! The food is very good and have frequent movie nights too. The best thing is you can have pets here I bring my dog all the time to visit.

We liked this community. We were happy with getting the information on the care that is given to the residents. The menu was appealing and the information on the activities would have been very helpful for her. This would have been a great community for here needs. We would highly suggest that families tour this community for the care and the value to be the best

I would recommend the Sungarden Terrace because they have been taking very good care of my mother. So far, it has been an excellent experience. The food and activities are very good as well. I have not noticed anything that needs improvement yet.

Harbor Terrace has been a good choice so far. It's clean with a friendly staff. I chose them because of the amenities they offer.
