We have been very happy overall with our mom's living arrangements at Oakwood Village. She is very safe and well looked after. Sherita is very very and is always looking out for our mom. The food is very good and better than most places around. Her place is maintained every week and kept clean. When we are not here we can feel at ease knowing she is safe and well looked after while living independently. I would recommend them community to others.

The director was very personable. The facility looked fresh and clean. I was given a great deal of information , but am not able to access anything at this time. I was impressed with the director. She was very helpful in many ways.

5 stars. The staff seem friendly administration [name removed] and [name removed]are great to work with. They are very kind and caring. My mom loves the food. Great place overall. I would recommend them to others who are searching for senior living for their loved one.

The facility is absolutely beautiful, the staff is always friendly and accommodating, the accommodations are clean, my mother even though she has severe dementia constantly tells me what a beautiful place it is and how happy she is there. They have a large variety of activities and many that involve engaging family throughout each month.

My father-in-law transitioned to assisted living at Viva Harrisburg just 4 days ago. Visited him yesterday and he is a new person! The staff and residents are cheerful, skilled and helpful. They are happy to work there. Dad is now very positive and engaged in activities from morning to evening, is well-cared for, and says he very happy there. Highly recommend this facility.

I was very pleased with what I saw. We were greeted warmly by the staff and residents. The facility is clean, bright and appeared to be well maintained.

Overall it is a great place. There were some issues when the new owners took possession They were slow in addressing the issues that residents needed. I would recommend to other families.

I would say 5 on all. They are really great! The staff was amazing! Very attentive and caring. My mom loved the food! Room cleaned weekly and nicely. The events were great from the happy hour to the animal visits. She was in a studio apartment on the assisted living side.

I can’t answer some of these questions accurately because my mom is the one receiving the care, and she rarely tells us the truth about what is going on. I prefer to be honest about what I have personally observed rather than make assumptions. 5. 5/5. Every time I have contacted the staff, they have been helpful and responsive. 6. I can’t really answer this one. I ate there the day we moved my mom in, and that was my only experience with the food. It was good, though. 7. I can’t answer this one either. All of the activities look great, including the off-premise activities, but from what I can tell, my mom doesn’t participate in most of them. 8. 1/5. I’m admittedly very biased about pricing because I feel these types of facilities are always overpriced. The dining staff on my mom’s floor have been amazing from what I’ve personally observed. [name removed] is really, really nice and helpful. [name removed] was also wonderful, although she recently resigned. Overall, I think this could be a great place for someone who takes advantage of everything the facility has to offer. The rooms are very spacious and clean, and the staff have been very helpful when it comes to arranging furniture and making the room comfortable. One thing I would recommend to other family members is not to take every negative thing their loved one says about the facility as gospel. In our experience, it is better to confirm concerns with the office staff before jumping to conclusions. A few additional services that may be helpful to know about: the facility has a doctor who comes on-site, a dentist who comes to the facility (I believe this is a newer service, and my mom has her first appointment on Wednesday), and a podiatrist who comes on-site as well. All of these services are optional. They are also currently looking for a replacement hairdresser because their previous hairdresser retired. My experience has been that the staff are generally helpful and willing to assist, and there are quite a few services and activities available for residents who choose to take advantage of them.

The staff really puts a lot of thought into providing different activities for the residents. They are also very family oriented. They do monthly family brunches. They keep everything very clean. The food is wonderful. And her 1 bedroom apartment is the perfect size. It doesn't feel too small at all.

Beautiful new facility, staff was cheerful and attentive. They seemed to care about the well-being of the tenants and provide a good level of care. Room was a nice size, well laid out, more than adequate for my wife's needs.

The staff seems very concerned about the clients in the home. I have heard no complaints about the food service and I've eaten there several times. They actively take clients out of the home for daytime event, i.e. Ice cream, dinners, and restaurants.

My mother was only there for approximately 50 hours. In her condition we never experienced any meals or activities. The room was huge! Private room and bath. Very clean. The staff was amazing and very helpful.

The Director of Sales explained everything about the facility and pricing very clearly The Evaluation process was very easy and fast The transition was smooth and all questions answered promptly Facility is clean, staff is friendly and food is very good I like that food is served restaurant style I also like that facility is small and everyone knows residents names

I have a loving room and a nice size bedroom. We have been in need of a maintained guy but one started today. The food is good on most days but I can choice something else for them to fix me. There hamburgers are really good. And grilled cheese

Staff is very helpful and friendly as well as the residents here. Lots of activities to keep busy and the meals are very good. I would recommend the community to others who are searching for senior living.

They were very friendly. [name removed] knew the residents and talked a little with them. We saw one of the studio apts and the resident was there and kindly let us look around the room. I liked that there was a separate room where we could have a private family lunch if we wanted to or a little private party. Looks like there are a lot of things to keep the residents busy if they want to be. It all looked very clean.

Great food. Mom loves presentation and taste. They give 2 options at meals. Tablecloths also at dinner.

My Mom & I toured the facility and so much my mother‘s gonna be going there. It was great that they had a room available. The place was very clean, the employees were friendly and the residents were friendly as well. My mother is will be forward starting the new chapter in her life there.

[name removed] just loves it there. She is always saying "Thank you for finding me such a nice place to be." The staff is wonderful and so pleasant! The answer questions and return calls. They keep me informed about [name removed] when I can't make it to visit.
