The Normandy Senior Living

Staff, residents, programs and food are all top notch. Ideal location. Exceeded our expectations There is not much need to spend a lot of time in one's apartment. The smaller units are the best bargain. And it's plenty of space. My brother and I visited 4 properties before making a decision. The Normandy was the top pick for both of us. We've been blown away. My dad absolutely loves it there.

Management team is engaged, very visible and available to residents, goes out of their way to solicit/respond to feedback and concerns. Activities and "extras" are outstanding. Residents are lovely, smart people with interesting backgrounds and experience. It is a wonderful place for an active retirement that promotes a healthy mind and body.

We could not be more pleased! The experience so far has been amazing. The staff is friendly, professional and attentive. The food is outstanding. Every attention to detail. The cleanliness and sanitation is very well maintained. All the activities are thought out. My mom is loving it there and we feel extremely comfortable with her being there. Knowing she is well taken care of!

My grandfather appreciates the entire staff, quality of food, affordability, and how well maintained the property it is. We picked this place because of the walking path in the forest, beautiful grounds, and our experience with [name removed] in the leasing office.

It's been a wonderful experience at Breakwater at The Normandy thus far. The staff is highly professional and very friendly. The residents are a great mix of mostly retired professional people with really interesting backgrounds and interests. The community is exceedingly welcoming and open to newcomers--very easy to fit in and find your own interests. Activities abound and are varied and high quality--from outings to the Cleveland Art Institute and local restaurants to in house classes, activities, lectures, and groups. The food is very good. The meals offer variety and many, many options and alternatives. The apartments are spacious and nicely renovated. The grounds are park like and impeccably landscaped and maintained. So -- all good!

This was a very nice community. It was too far from family though.

My dad always speaks to the quality of the food and availability. My dad never did activities before and does them now. Enjoys himself and recreating with friends. I picked this facility because of the great incentive - fee off per month for 1st 5 months and the fact services are not tiered and price will not go up except for regular cost of living.

Breakwater at the Normandy is akin to many luxury hotels where I have stayed over the years. It is an absolutely gorgeous facility with great workers and everything you could need or want to do in one place. The trips, activities, entertainment and delicious food adds considerably to an already great place. That being said, luxury comes at a premium. The cost of the apartments is akin to apartments in some of the U.S.'s largest cities, and is very steep. But the quality of the experience makes the price make sense, esp. when you consider that heat and AC are included, there is weekly housekeeping service, laundry service if you want it, two meals a day included, and low-cost cable TV. The atmosphere is conducive to even introverts finding friends and activities.

They have very professional and friendly staff that go out of the way for you to make sure that the residents are comfortable. Also they go out to get the residents involved in everything to participate.

We think it is a pretty good value for everything our loved one is getting. She likes that she is in a smaller place, and does not have to worry about maintaining her homey, fixing things or cleaning and cooking.

My aunt has lived at the”Breakwater Apartments” now for seven months. The staff there is wonderful. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. My aunt has a lovely apartment which she enjoys (at the age of 94.). The entire complex has been newly renovated. It was tastefully done and is very inviting. The dining room is quite nice and the food is delicious. There are many amenities, many activities. It is also conveniently located, easily accessible. I can’t say enough about “ The Normandy”. My aunt is very happy there and my family is pleased that her needs are met there.

This is a really great retirement facility. There is a homey atmosphere when you walk in. The people who work here are so welcoming. They made what could have been an awkward experience a wonderful one. We really love it here!

They are very responsive and very friendly. All of the staff takes care to say hello to you whenever you walk in. The only thing I would say is that the meals are too large and expensive. I wish they would cut down a little portion size and make it a little more affordable. Other than that it has been a really good experience with The Normandy Senior Living.

All of the places that A Place for Mom suggested were very good. The Normandy, however, is excellent. It offers a beautiful common area, a Japanese Garden, many different activities and a friendly, helpful staff.

Moved my parents in on 4/1 and we had Easter brunch 4/4 is a very nice place . brunch was great an i have also had the opportunity to eat llunchthere too, it also was very good. Through the process Tracy and others have been great during my parents transition

As of late they have hired contract nurses for weekend support. The contract nurses have been quick to send my father to the hospital for treatment/ evaluation when it's questionable if it's warranted. These extra costs are expensive. We've had two meetings with staff,to date, about this issue.

The staff are friendly and easy to work with. The facility is bigger than most places I looked at, and it comes with cable and internet included. The apartment is big and very nice. My loved one hasn't had any problems with housekeeping. They have a really nice gym compared to other places I looked at. However, he does not like the food. But overall it's a nice place to live.

So far, we don't have any complaints. The facility is nice and spacious and the staff is so warm and kind. The food is good and the activities seem to be fun for the residents.
