All questions get a 5. Before finding this facility, they were at [community removed]. They told me they could handle them from assisted living until death. They grossly over sold their memory care division. They did not have an educated staff to handle the easiest of situations. Activate has been excellent. My father passed away on [date removed]& they handled it perfectly. Even minimizing the effect on my Mom afterwards! Educated staff & they are always happy to help in any way they can with a smile on their face.

The staff, of which there were many and you always saw them, were very kind and caring to my mom. The staff always recognized my father and told him where she was. There were many activities to participate in or not. During my mom's end of life they were very caring and supportive for the whole family.

My mom absolutely adores ActivCare! She moved to ActivCare from another facility in the area, and the care she is receiving now so outshines her other facility. She is kept active all day long, so many activities here, and SUCH wonderful staff. From [name removed] in the office to [name removed] on the floor to [name removed] at the desk and all the amazing nurses, med techs and aides and others that are too many to mention. Everyone is kind, and helpful, and so attentive to the residents. My mom doesn’t want to participate in all the activities, but she does like to sit on the sidelines and critique others LOL! Residents are never left in chairs in front of the TV just wasting away. They are all encouraged to interact with other residents and participate in all kinds of fun activities. The facility is super-clean, well run, and she loves the food! We are so glad she found ActivCare, we are so grateful that she’s thriving and in such good hands.

The care giver staff is receptive and supportive. The front desk has a staff member, [name removed], who has been extremely helpful and always courteous. [name removed], in charge of Marketing is friendly and willing to help and accommodate concerns. Generally, I'm grateful for the attention that is given to the clients, family and friends.

Staff are kind and loving to the residents. Really blew away my preconceptions of what memory care would be like. My mother had a private room with her own bathroom. The room size was fine. She had a full-size bed, dresser, nightstand, bookcase and loveseat. The residents spend most of the day in the common areas so the room size wasn't too big of a factor.

Facility is new and well staffed with lots of activities for residents. They ensure that residents are encouraged to engage in activities and were helpful in easing a stressful transition from home life to a memory care facility when it was needed.

My parents were not participating at another facility & going down hill fast. They have only been at Active Care for 2 months & I have seen a great improvement in their countenance & activity level. They appear happy & their appearance is by far superior to [community removed]. I feel so relieved that they are well taken care of & involved to a point I could not do on my own. They do a better job than I could.

A most difficult thing to do is place a loved one in a facility. Active care at mission bay made the transition as painless as possible. [name removed] made every effort to ease the pain of placing my husband in the memory care facility. The entire staff of caregivers, medical staff, and support staff are kind and considerate. The facility itself is very clean and well maintained. The food service staff accommodates the various dietary needs of the residents. I highly recommend this facility for a loved family member.

ActivCare has been a lifesaver for my husband. Considering all the places I visited this was the best to serve his needs. The staff is amazing by keeping me informed and caring. I would totally recommend this facility.

What we really like about the ActivCare at Bressi Ranch are the musical activities, those are great. However the meals could be improved but based on the experience we have had we would recommend this community to other families.

I first visited this facility shortly before it opened over 10 years ago. Revisiting it for a family member, I found it to be a very pleasant & safe environment, & very convenient to many outings. The staff is well trained and very caring & know all of the residents by name. The ocean/sailing theme on the walls is quite appropriate for the area and very refreshing. The facility smells clean and not medicinal like a lot of care facilities. The food is fresh & tasty & plentiful. I have been very comfortable with my family member living there.

They make the transition easy for the family and the staff was very helpful and nice. They coordinated with the hospital. We had good communication between family hospital and ActivCare I would definitely recommend them for memory care.

I liked that they let us come visit multiple times to help make us feel at ease of placing mom there. The staff has been great through the whole process. They do not seem to stick to the activities that they have listed on the calendar. Definitely feel like we are paying top dollar, but feel like mom is being taken well care of.

My wife has been at ActivCare for a few months now and I visit here often. I spend more time on my visits than I ever expected. My visits are often spent playing table games with much laughing and conversation around the table. I have also found myself singing along with a terrific entertainer who comes regularly. My wife and I also spend much time chatting in either of the two gardens and enjoying the beauty and serenity. My wife loves the staff, the food and her pretty room. The staff, from management to caretakers, are friendly and upbeat. The common areas are always clean and fresh. In effect this place has relieved much of my guilty and fear about the decision I made.

The most wonderful, caring, and professional staff in a beautiful community. My loved one has been so very well taken care of. My father visits my father daily and participates in their activities, we are both forever thankful.

over the past 6 months, I have visited activcare nearly daily and typically spend between 3-6 hours there. I have been there during shift changes, meals, special events and witness their everyday routines. I have become quite familiar with the front office staff, nurses, and aides that work with the residents. The front office staff are very approachable and always willing to address questions or concerns that families or friends may have. There is an LVN on duty during each shift who is available to answer questions regarding medications or medical needs. As a whole, the caregiving staff is excellent. They are routinely shifted between the different levels of care and get to know the residents by name and understand their unique needs. The relationship that develops between the care staff and resident is remarkable. When not at the facility, I feel comfortable knowing my friend is well cared for. I thank ActivCare for providing the care he needs and giving me peace of mind.

My father has been at this facility for 6 months now. The caregivers are kind and attentive. Outside areas are safe and lovely to get fresh air. They have many activities and seasonal parties to attend. If you have concerns the staff are there to discuss and help you with whatever you need. Meals are good. Not great, but good.

I have been so very happy with all the staff at ActivCare! [name removed] is fantastic, she is so efficient and caring. [name removed] the PA is really sweet and on the ball. She does a great job taking care of my Aunt's medical well being. I drop in unannounced multiple times per week and have been very impressed by the activity and interactions by the staff with clients every time. Everyone there makes my Aunt and myself feel so welcome and secure. I am so happy we found this facility!!! Senior care is so very expensive everywhere, but this place is worth it truly. Love it.

My mom is with Active Care and it’s coming up on a year already and I can’t believe it went so fast but my mom is in very good health she is strong and capable of walking and communicating and she loves music and the entertainment that they bring in often. She can feed herself but If needed they are always there to help. [name removed] makes sure everything is going well and [names removed] keep the events fun and [names removed] are always there helping all the residents and getting them to and from meals and games and their rooms and bathrooms! I M in awe of everyone and am there often!

I am more than happy with the care my father is receiving at ActivCare. I am impressed with the interaction between the staff and the residents. Every resident is known by face and name and the caregivers genuinely pay attention to and interact with the residents. I am so appreciative of the little things the staff takes care of for my dad, even having little jokes with him that help him feel that he is truly known. I have witnessed numerous staff members engage with, encourage, laugh with, sing with, and even dance with residents. The fact that the staff are smiling and laughing with residents truly demonstrates that ActivCare can be just like home.
