My mom has been there several months now. Communication is good with the staff She seems happy there. We like that it has smaller buildings and all on 1 floor. She likes the bus trips they’ve gone on for shopping, lunch and day trips. They have outdoor activities including gardening, games, bbq. There is a small library, games, and puzzles available to residents. A hair dresser comes in weekly and a doctor comes in to see residents. We would recommend it.

We toured several facilities in the area trying to find an appropriate placement for my 91 year- old mother. Since she has Dementia, we were focused on Memory Care facilities. There were some lovely places with beautiful gathering areas, large bedrooms and bathrooms. Some provided transportation to appts. and even an aide, if desired. But the prices were such that we were worried my mother's money wouldn't last for the rest of her life. Then we checked out Dominion Village. It is an older facility, so it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the newer places. The bedrooms are small. Most of them have a bathroom that you share with the resident next door, or you can pay a little more and get one of the rooms with a private bathroom. When we met with the director, she explained that since my mother still had good social skills, did not wander, or was not a danger to herself, she could be placed on the assisted living side in lieu of the memory care side. Not only is it less expensive, but she is with people who can provide her with good social experiences. In the end, we realized what was most important for my mother was not the "look good" features of the expensive places(she is not going to use a pool table, or sit in the spacious living room next to the gas fireplace anyway), but a clean place where she could get three good meals and some help with dressing, assistance in the bathroom, and with getting around. So we went with Dominion Village. We opted to pay a little extra for a room with a private half bath; she is rolled down the hall to the beautiful shower room (there is also a walk-in tub available). A twin bed fits the best. It allows for a comfy chair, some side tables, and a chest of drawers without the room seeming cramped. The staff is very friendly; all went out of their way to make my mother feel welcome. Since the facility is small, they soon know all the residents and what strategies work best for each. I rated the care as good, not great, because no one is going to be able to care for my mother as well as I did while she lived at home. She was my sole patient. But the caregivers try their best to provide the best care possible for their residents.

Very nice place with good services and staff. However, its location is not ideal for our family, so we will not choose here.

The two bedroom, two bath villas are very comfortable and convenient to many restaurants, drugstores, grocery stores, etc. Also, many medical facilities are in close proximity. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The meals are OK and included in the rent. Visitors are welcomed for lunch as well.

There was some challenges at first but they have been addressed. I would recommend this facility to others.

Beautiful grounds, well maintained, includes a large pond and walking paths. Facilities are very nice, floor plans range in size from fairly large to small, to suit the needs of the resident. Wide range of activities. Convenient location, very well designed. Should be near the top of anyone's list of potential senior communities.

[Name removed] and Everyone at Brookdale made you feel at ease, even the residents of the community were very friendly. The surroundings were not only clean but very nicely decorated. The dining hall has alternative food if whats on the menu is not to the residents liking. The residents apartments are impeccable. Nice tan carpets, ample closet space. I'm most pleased with Brookdale than any of the other 5 places we visited.

Staff was super all were very friendly and you could sense that they form a great community. Our tour was well planed and mom was able to see many of the types for apt that they offer.

The facility was very nice and bright. Everyone was very friendly and the food is good. The outside area was very small with no where to walk and no grounds to tour. The price was high.

[name removed] was nice and knowledgeable. The community and building were okay, but not great. She did seem knowledgeable and understanding, but I didn't get a warm and fuzzy feeling. No complaints but not my favorite place.

My parents (mother & stepfather) have been at Summit View in Chattanooga for several years. I have never seen anything but a clean facility that is staffed with caring people. When my mother died, the staff was definitely supportive and concerned for my stepfather's welfare. I live several states away and the staff welcomes my calls to check on 'how are things going' and always takes as much time as needed to talk with me. My visits are always unannounced and I never saw either unclean or with any signs of abuse or lack of care - my mother was incontinent and I never saw her soiled or their room unkempt. All of the other residents seem equally well cared for. 4-Stars because there is always room for improvement but I have no reservations about leaving my step-father in their care.

As I walked in there was no odor and it was clean. I meet with John the executive director and he was very nice and genuine. He explain that they wete doing a face lift in the hall ways and fishing some painting in some rooms. He then showed me the rooms and they were nice. I liked the one bedroom however at this time I know that the price is too steep for what my mother can aford.

Well kept, clean, friendly. The apartment sizes available just didn't meet our needs.

[Removed] was very personable and made us feel more comfortable about considering assisted living for my mother. Dominion is small, giving it an intimate feeling. It appears it also allows them some flexibility with patient's needs. The place is not new, but [Removed] is working hard to update the building and furnishings. The rooms are not large, but adequate for our needs. The bathroom would have to be modified to meet my mother's needs, or she could be taken to the large shower or tub room. That's not great, but not a deal breaker. Someone stopped us as we gathered on the front porch and told us he was very happy with the care his own mother was receiving here. This made us happy to hear. We are definitely considering this place for my mother.

This community was very nice. The staff was very friendly and nice. The community was clean and well maintained however it was a bit older than other ones we had looked at. The price was a good match but the community didn't offer as much as others that were a little higher in price. The location was perfect very close to my home and family.

This community was nice when we visited. The staff we met were friendly. This community had a larger memory care unit than what we were looking for.
