Charter Senior Living

Never realized how expensive this would be. Was good we started this before I wanted. It's taken a long time for her adjust. Lots of depression and a difficulty with her dog. Thought for sure I was going to have another pup. But is working out now.

My experience has probably been better than my aunt’s who lives there. I am her PoA and custodian. I think Charter has been easy to work with and straight forward. Facilities are good compared to similar or more expensive priced communities. For me it really helps that they are 5 min from my house. . My aunt says the food is ok but not great. She’s also had some issues working through conflicts with other residents. Most of the staff is friendly. She likes the Operations director a lot. Overall I’m satisfied though and my aunt intents to stay there for the long haul. Strong 4 stars.

I would tell them I am very happy with the level of care, the respect, love and cleanliness of the facility. Value for cost exceeds the competition. All of my comments to friends and associates have been positive.

I recently toured and I was thoroughly impressed with what I saw. The place was clean and the food was excellent. The staff stood out as being exceptionally friendly and created a warm and welcoming environment.

The community is very pleasant, the grounds are beautiful it’s like having your own yard. The community is well kept and clean. Food is least to be desired. Laundry is always taken care of on time. If something is wrong maintenance director takes care of issues promptly.

My mother is currently a resident here, and overall it is a great facility. The people at all levels from the management to the floor nurses all seem to care and treat the residents with respect. Several of the nurses go out of their way to say hello to my mom when they start their shifts, and ask her how she is doing. The food is decent, and they have activities to keep people entertained. They also do field trips for the residents. There are a few minor issues I have noticed. Sometimes the person who helps my mom get ready in the morning forgets to do some minor things (nothing too important). And all the residents with varying degrees of impairment are mixed together. That could be a positive or a negative, depending on your point of view, but my mom has told me that sometimes the odd behavior of other residents with more severe impairments makes her uncomfortable. But overall, I would definitely recommend this facility.

I would say that I love living here, and wish I could afford a 2 bedroom for just my closet. No space. I love having people around. Also the staff is great and helpful with everything. I would recommend to my friends. Because of how I feel. Great place when you really don't have much family.

It's a nice facility and the caregivers are good. Would like to see more staff, to help the residents. The addition of hospice support has helped with the level of care for my mom.

Good facility, had a few issues at start but was able to work things out very quickly and efficiently.

The cleanliness is exemplary but whatever deficiency you find is compensated by the staff. I have minor issues with the way the staff is scheduled, but they have little control over that. The staff however is professional, available, always upbeat (happy, accommodating as possible . They all work very hard to make this place as comfortable as possible. This is the first facility of this type I have ever experienced, so I have no comparison, but I was in the service industry for decades. The staff makes up for any shortcomings.

I was overall happy with the care, accessibility, communication, cleanliness and set up of the facility. Food service could be better. My sister has transitioned to her own place, but I would recommend Charter to others, and would use them again.

The staff at Charter Senior Living of Madison are kind, caring and courteous. The facility is a country-like setting. They have an attentive meal service. The management is approachable. Welcoming reception. They have great activities. The facility is lovely and quiet. They have respect for individuality. I would (and have) recommend this place.

My loved one is currently a resident at Charter Senior Living Towson and the overall experience has been good so far. The friendliness, staff and care services are great. The meals are okay. The value for cost and cleanliness are good. Overall, I would recommend Charter Senior Living Towson to others.

Overall I think that Charter Senior Living is a great place and based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

I would recommend this place with no problem. Short staffed but so is everyplace. Some days cleaner than others but over all very happy with staff , care, meals,and friendliness.cost is reasonable compared to other places. Overall I would choose southern pines again.

The food can always be better but both of our loved ones have gained weight there so it can't be that bad. The pricing could be better too. Mom complained about the lack of activities and that almost all the other residents were wheelchair bound and more feeble than she

As the caregiver for my aunt, I was pleased with the warm atmosphere and the level of care given to her while she was at the Cottages at Perryhall. We experienced more one on one care at the facility compared to the larger facilities. The price was reasonable compared to some of the other facilities. To be honest, I wasn't there for any of the activities but I would have Volunteers come in and do aerobics, live band especially around Christmas time playing Christmas songs, someone doing story time, arts and crafts, church service. Not sure if they already have those activities. In regards to the food, for dinner I would give the patients a choice. Even if it's only a choice between two different meals. I have recommended The Cottages to some individuals.

My mom was previously a resident at The Cottages of Fox Lake and I was pleased with her care there. While we had a few concerns, she was a difficult patient and had to be moved to memory care about 2 months after moving in, once my dad passed. I would definitely recommend The Cottages of Fox Lake as a good, safe place, especially outside of memory care, which is always challenging.

[name removed] is our activities director and she is outstanding. This young lady takes an interest in each and every resident of Charter and is always there with a smile on her face.
