The director is wonderful and is full aware of the situation. We loved it.

Small facility with only 39 apts. Clean freindly enviornment. Small apartments. Memory care included in price of $5810 per month whic includes cable and wrist bands. $500 deposit. Lots of activities frendly staff. Will complete assesment to determin what level of care is needed.

Has whirlpool spa, no pool. Near Sprinkle road, looks nice.

Took my mother to personally visit Sunset. I loved the sense of community, she did not.

Very nice. Rooms have limited space for Mom's belongings and clothing. Public lounge spaces are limited, but perhaps enough. Very family-like feel. Could deal with dog, but did not get into extra charges associated with the dog. Good location. A lot of social activities. Subsequent to tour, Social Director followed up- good conversation. Invited us over for a picnic.

Do not have 2 bedroom apts. One bedroom with sitting room which can be used as companion suite. They are more a assisted living specific community.

Wonderful place, just what we were looking for. He just moved in.

HFA licensed facility can house up to 52. Can choose from three sizes of rooms, each with a large bathroom and kitchenette. Have to bring own furniture. Some activities available. Families provide transportation to outside activities. Several on sight religious activities during the week. Very secure. Limited on site medical provisions. Facilities beautiful but decor was dark. Square floor plan with interior court yard. Saw very few residents on tour. Possibly because they were preparing for dinner.

Our family had an in person tour and the people were super nice but the entry way just did not have that super welcoming feel to it

This was a nice community but the prices were a little higher than other communities. It was really expensive and did not have as many activities and things to do as another community that I was looking at and the location was also further. The community was not bad at all there was just another community that worked out better for my loved one.

We chose Bickford at the time because it was nice and new and I liked the staff members. Once you get into the system, reality hits and you find out quickly that things aren't as nice as what was presented. Part of that is out of their hands of course with covid. I think that the administrative staff could improve on communication and following through on things.

My mom is a resident in your memory care facility. When trying to call to get information on how she is doing, there is no one to answer the phone. Have called 3 and 4 times and let the phone ring 20 times each time and finally someone will answer . Some of the people that do answer don’t know how to use the phone to transfer you to memory care. I strongly suggest you get a full time receptionist, and or a direct line to memory care! This is very aggravating! Please consider this, at the cost we pay we should be able to get a call through!

I found the staff to be very courteous to my family and was always wilingl to help out and assist when they could. The facilty is always clean while visiting and I’ve always found it to have a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Very friendly environment. Staff usually takes time to greet you and talk. If you need more time or information ,they give it . Residents as text always clean and helped as needed. I think the meals could be more varied and flavorful. I'm not sure meals are always prepared on sight. Activities are routine, but seem to be appropriate for skill level of the residents

My mother is now at Bickford Bexley since June 2018. The food is well above average, nice variety, my mother at 92 years claims the meat is good, but dry and tough. I think she's right when it comes to some of the meat, elderly have chewing problems, especially with false teeth. The staff is warm and friendly, but it seems like they have a lot of turnover, which might not be Bickford's fault. Management requires critiquing, to be more informative to the people overseeing these elderly tenants care, a monthly report from the staff would be helpful, following through on personal care request is imperative. I must clarify, I do like the staff and management, the facility is close proximity to my home, so seeing my mother on a daily bases makes me more aware of negative and positive issues. Bickford is still the best choice for my mother, small facility, easy access, short walk to Dining and Social areas, the activity director is awesome and works diligently to keep elderly patients involved.

I toured here when looking for a place for my wife. I decided on moving her to a different community. When I toured, it was just okay. The fees are abundant and the price itself was a lot higher than I needed. Getting there was also a bit harder, it’s stuck right in the middle of town and there’s a lot more traffic to contend with just to get there. I only met the administrator when I was there and I think she was helpful enough. I don’t think she had the experience that a few other places did.

My Husband was here for his respite care, and we found that it was a nice place. It’s an older facility so the rooms and bathrooms are small, the hallways are narrow, and the set up gives it a crowded feel overall. However, the ladies in the kitchen definitely know how to cook. Everything is from scratch, and it is excellent.

I placed my mom in this community that is within 3 miles of my home so I am thrilled she is this close. The staff has a high turnover so I worry a little about that but they are responsive. They have good food, and keep the place really clean. Mom enjoys to play bingo and she goes to exercise daily. And the garden area is nice. I also chose this place for the 24hr nursing care.
