Bickford Senior Living

To be fair, they are dealing with all the post Covid staffing issues every business is having to deal with. I think it was a good move considering my mom's budget and her chief complaint is the food.

Overall our family is happy with them, but sometimes it is had to get in tough with the right person

Have been very happy with the care my mother gets on the memory care side. Staff super nice .

What really stood out to us was the staff, they are very friendly and everyone from the executive director to the maintenance team is just very engaged with the residents.

She is very happy there as well lets change that to she is as content as she can be. Doing well no problems.

Our family had an in person tour and it was really nice but for what we were looking for this was just not going to fit our loved ones needs

We reserved a room for my loved one and we were put on a wait list. Then they called us for a room, then they started to delay it more and more. It went on for a few weeks. They could have left it alone as we moved through the list. Instead of the back and forth. That could be improved on. The food was good with some variety for each meals. The staff was very friendly and communicative and went out of their way to let us know they enjoyed my loved one being there. We where able to reach out to staff if we had any questions or concerns by phone call or text.

I thought Bickford of Battle Creek was nice. It felt very homey. It’s a little bit of an older facility, but very well kept up. We toured assisted living and memory care. Their memory care rooms are much smaller than another place we looked at, and they don’t have very many rooms in memory care. They definitely had more rooms in assisted living. The staff I met were nice. [name removed], the gal who took us around, was wonderful. She did a lot of follow-up but was not overly pushy. She was just very sweet. She even made a little gift for my mom and I after our visit, a certificate of encouragement, which was a nice touch. In the end, Bickford was a little pricey, and my mom just wanted to be in a different location closer to another family member.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a wonderful experience. This was our second choice. We loved the way the rooms were set up around the perimeter and everything was just outside of the rooms. The activities area and gathering areas were just right outside the rooms so very accessible to the residents.

The location for us has been amazing and was the main reason we chose Brighton Gardens of Brentwood. Overall it has just been a very good experience.

They have a very friendly and welcoming staff there. It is a very clean, it feels like an apartment complex. They seem very involved with the residents that are living there. They provide a really good menu for the residents to pick from.

The staff are excellent at this community. My loved one loves the food here. This is an excellent place and there is no mistake by bringing your loved one here. My mother in law lives here also and both of them are happy at this community. They have activities like crossword, bingo, happy hours on Friday, church, music entertainment, work out classes, cook club and more for the residents to do to stay busy.

The staff members at Bickford are wonderful, they really try to make the residents feel comfortable and in that home setting. Our loved one is still adjusting so she has not participated in the activities or eaten in the dining room yet, but she is really enjoying the meals. We would recommend this community to other familes.

There has been staffing problems currently. The future could be a bit shady because of this. Overall it is a good place. The staff seem to really care about the residents. The food is pretty good. Some items for meals are prime rib, bacon each morning, home made soups. The community's goal is to make as much from scratch as possible. There are choices for the main meal as well for the residents to choose from.

Bickford of Burlington has very friendly staff. i was sort of dissatisfied with the meals, but overall they are a good community.

Bickford is a very intimate and friendly environment that feels like home. They have staffing issues and technology issues such as external door key access not working, as well as fall alert device issues. We would have to wait to be let out and let in even with the key fob, it would not work most of the time. Overall they have an excellent relationship with hospice, were very accommodating on resident needs as their health declined.

Our family had a very good first impression with the Bickford community, it has a real homey feel to it, and everyone there is extremely friendly.

I love the welcoming, warm feeling that a smaller facility like this has to offer. The environment is very homey and warm. It feels very community and family-like. I think they're short-staffed unfortunately, but the workers that they do have work very hard and do their very best. I love the activities, but my dad does not. They're geared more towards women, and it would be nice to see more male-oriented things for him. But the activities director is phenomenal. She is one of the best parts of the place. They do go out once a week for lunch, which is really nice. His apartment is perfectly sized for him and is handicapped accessible. The director went above and beyond to help me get my dad in there and take that step. And she provides a lot of personalized attention. We really like Bickford.

We chose Bickford of Spotsylvania because of the location for family and we really liked the layout of the building. The room size is just right for what she needs. She raves about the food, they are chef prepared meals. They are starting to ramp up on the activities that were stopped due to covid, they just had an outing last week. I would absolutely recommend them to others looking.

We toured this community and it was nice. They answered our questions and showed us around. It was what i expected.
