Bickford Senior Living

So far we have had a good experience for here. The staff did a nice job taking care of my loved one in the assisted living area. The food was good for the residents. There is a lot of turn over of staff in the dining room, and sometimes the staff would forget about the medical condition of my loved one and the need to assist my loved one with their meals. Overall, I have been very pleased with Brighton Gardens.

The quality of care is great but the facility is experiencing difficulty of finding staff. They have had some turnover which has put some stress on the care that they can provide - but I know that is a nationwide problem. Same thing goes for the staff and activities, they just do not have the variety that they would normally be able to provide if they were fully staffed.

Unfortunately or loved one was not able to experience Bickford as long as we had hoped for, but we absolutely loved that community. It had a very clean and warm environment feeling to it. The employees were just magnificent to work with and it was perfect for her.

Overall they have done really well and the staff members are super friendly. Our loved one is on the memory care side so sometimes it is hard to get feedback regarding the activities, but it seems like they do have a lot - we see the activities coordinating working with the residents everyday. The value has been quite good, they do not charge a big premium for memory care

Bickford of Omaha-Blondo has provided a caring, family-like environment.

I really really liked Bickford of Shelby Township. This facility actually would have been our first choice, but unfortunately the price was too high for us. The staff did a really good job of following up with us after the tour.

My most outstanding feeling about this place is that I know going into any situation, things are not always going to be perfect wherever you go. What gives me great satisfaction about Bickford of Rocky River is that the staff here are very responsive to every concern that I have had, I know that I can work with them on every detail and they never make me feel like I am a bother and are always understanding. I really love that the facility is smaller so it does not feel institutional-like and the care is more individualized. For example, I went to pick my mom up on Easter Sunday to go to church and there was a group of ladies waiting in the lobby for their loved ones. [name removed] the executive director was there and he knew the names of all of the residents and their family members as well. That gave me a very good feeling and it shows how involved he is and how much he really cares. The staff are diligent and compassionate and we have been very pleased with the care that they are providing. When you talk to any one of the staff members, they are just as great and delivering as much as [name removed]. It all starts at the top with management and goes down to every staff member. We were looking for places through the thick of covid and during the time when you could not visit your loved ones. I really like that Bickford throughout that time was uploading pictures on their Facebook page of the residents and showing what they were up to and they still continue to do that. After looking at the other facilities, they also definitely had more activities on a daily basis than the others. What also impressed me was that through the worst of covid, there were no positive cases at this facility. The day the vaccine became available, the facility was on top of it and wasted no time. They lined up Walgreens to come in and administer the shots to the residents just a week after it came out. I would highly recommend Bickford of Rocky River to other families, we have been very impressed.

The tour experience was incredible and I have nothing negative to say. The staff were wonderful and so understanding. The atmosphere had a little more of a formal feeling to it and we were looking for something that felt homey which was the only reason we did not go with Bickford of Scioto.

In our area this is the nicest community to go to. The staff here are perfect with my loved one.

Go here, don't even look at the other places! This is the the best place. My loved one liked it here. If you got to be somewhere, this is the one to be in. They clean once a week. The staff did great handling the medications. The only issues we had was my loved one needed help shaving or trimming his finger nails. Those things just were not doing them. Personal hygiene help was not the best. I think the staff need trained to provide some personal hygiene care like finger nail trimming and beard trimming. I had to pay the beautician to provide these items versus the care givers.

In the beginning it was the best around for what my loved one was getting. Over time, the prices has increased. The staff is overworked. They are charging for giving meds on top of their room costs, etc. I would recommend someone being there. If you can go to the dining room and participate in activities, then this would be great place for your loved one. Each circumstance is different and this is ours. The caregivers are good, the nursing supervisor, etc. are all bent over backwards to help me.

I was not impressed wit h this community. I felt nickled and dimed for everything that was needed. I also did not like the way that they set up the medicine and the way that it was handed out. The tour was great just not a great fit for my loved one. They did a great job with the tour.

What sticks out the most to us about Bickford of Canton is that it is a smaller facility. I liked this because I felt that my loved one would get more personalized care here.

Good community, price was more than expected.

Our family had an in person tour and we really liked this community but it was just a little to far away from us and we wanted to be close by incase of emergencies .

From the moment you arrive at Bickford of Midland you are greeted by amazing staff. The building is clean and festive. The staff go above and beyond to ensure that my mother and all the resident's are always happy. The food is all homemade from scratch, my mom has enjoyed every meal. Activities were a bit rocky at the start of mom's move in, however have improved greatly in the last weeks. The leadership team is above anything you will find at other Assisted Living centers. I have witnessed the Director, RN and Community Director working with the residents, and serving them. That shows me that they lead by example. All of my questions and concerns are answered tamely and honestly. I feel that I am always assisted and pointed into the right direction. I would recommend Bickford of Midland to everyone.

Our loved one recently moved in and so far it has been a really good experience. They certainly have highly trained nursing staff which we really appreciate.

I liked this community a lot but I had to change areas because the loved ones that were close to her were out of town for a long period of time. The tour guide was very nice and were very good and informative. This community was very beautiful but it felt like the memory care was in a small dark area without very much movement.

The value for cost and the employees working at Brighton Gardens is what helped seal the deal in choosing this community.

We really like it so far and have been very pleased, our loved one has not been there long she is currently in a rehab facility. The community itself is very clean, cute with a homey atmosphere. The staff members we have met and dealt with have been very wonderful, we love them and have no complaints as of yet.
