What we like the most about the community is - 1. Food 2. The 'need help' button she wears around her neck. 3. Decorations during holidays to make it feel like home. Yes, I would recommend this community to others, it is a nice place... there were a few aspects that were 'hidden from us' or, misrepresented. So going in, we had a few false expectations. I still think it's a nice place... just ask a lot of questions and check-in frequently.

I met with the sales manager and discussed the needs of my relative both physical and financial. We then took a tour of the facility together. I left feeling hopeful and pleased but found the next day that there had been a misunderstanding regarding the option of Medicaid eligibility if needed in the future.

Comfortable Food used to be great! Have cut back. Not happy. Cooperative happy staff. Expensive. Not looking forward to new rates for new year. Overall happy with the place. Five star residence Fort Wayne.

The staff is wonderful. There are a lot of activities including crafts, bingo, lots of board games. The food is o.k. They are adding more items to the menu.

I love that I decided to stay here. This is a very nice place to live. I enjoy the activities and the food is great. The staff here are very polite and friendly. I would recommend to anyone to stay here.

Working with The Lumiere was great. Everyone is very friendly. My Mother thinks the food is great. Here is my opinion on a few things (and these are in comparison to other communities we visited). . . The perfect sized apartment for her wasn't available, so we had to go with a larger one because the smaller one was going to be pretty small. So, for the money she is paying a month I feel she should receive 3 meals a day (Lumiere only provides 2). They should offer valet trash service rather than having senior citizens tote their own trash down the hall to the garbage room. They should provide cleaning services every other week, rather than once a month. Their parking situation isn't great for seniors. They only have parking around the periphery of the building, and no covers parking at all. The Lumiere was really the only west-county community that offered both independent and assisted living options with availability at the time (that didn't require a buy in). With that said, it's a beautiful property and apparently the food is pretty good. She hasn't been there long enough to be familiar with many of the activities offered.

I would recommend the villages they have taken very good care of my dad. The food is good and they are very responsive. My father in law is very happy with his apartment. It has a living room, bedroom and a large bathroom. He said the staff is very friendly and attentive. I would say he would give them a 5. There are a lot of activities. They had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner for family and residents. They have entertainment a couple of times a week and multiple activities and a couple of outings a month.

Staff (aides and nurses) are mostly very friendly and helpful. They have a lot to do but always respond in a timely manner, with a smile. You don't feel like you're "bothering " them My main complaint would be the quality of the food. Not the service or the cleanliness. The food itself is generally not that appetizing, though presented well.

This is a large, newer facility, offering full continuum of care options. Tour guide was very new to her job, hesitant and uncertain re: questions, unable to access some areas of the building. But she did her best…

It was a great experience. The staff was friendly. Starting care was pretty easy and straight forward. We really did have a pleasant experience.

My was the resident, overall the experience was good. It was OK and certainly acceptable. I would recommend this community to others who are currently searching.

The staff is so caring and responsive and yes we would absolutely recommend Park Place of West Knoxville to other families based on the experience so far.

Staff(ALF). Other than some complaints about food from our family member, we have been very happy with the ALF. Our family member spent much time in their Rehab facility with lower happiness. They worked hard to accommodate our timeline with time in and out of the hospital.

The food could be improved. Clean the carpets. Activities Director was excellent.

Most of the staff was friendly and responsive...not enough nurses for amount of patients which is typical of most nursing homes. Activities were interactive and sometimes creative. Food was average, dining experience and dining room were good. My dad's room was overall too small, otherwise ok. My mom's room was a little more spacious and it had nice cabinets in the kitchenette and bathrooms.

We chose Brenden Gardens for the facility in that it had individual apartments and included meals. The location is good because it's near the highway making convenient to doctors and hospitals and there is a very nice Southwind city park very close.

Our mother lived at Cottonwood for 14 years. The staff, [name removed], [name removed] and others were very caring and did there best to keep her comfortable and keep us informed about her condition. Mom always partipated in, and enjoyed, the variety of activities that were available. During her later time there, she needed more assistance and St Croix Hospice aided in her care giving , also doing an excellent job. She moved to another facility later in her life when she required 24/7 care.

Making this move has been extremely challenging, difficult emotionally as well as physically and financially. But once we got settled in, we noticed that the employees are very nice, very friendly and helpful.

Easy to work through the signing process; kind staff; clean, lively, new facility; good food (at least the two meals I had, but Mom said it's inconsistent); and definitely use the moving service they recommend. They totally saved us. I can't speak much to the day to day, eg response to service needs, or social engagement. I live in California, and I'm not sure how much Mom is embracing those aspects yet. The ground floor door leading to the courtyard is not ADA accessible. I don't know if that applies to all of the doors, but I witnessed a couple trying to get out that would not have been able to do so had I not been there. He had a cane, and was pushing her in a wheelchair. The door is very heavy. He couldn't figure out how to keep the door open long enough to push her through. This feels like a very big oversight to me for a building that is now over a year old and houses elderly folks.
