It really is good. My father-in-law is now living at Northwood Manor. He loves it there. They're good to him and the transportation is good. He has a beautiful apartment. He is what I would call almost a hoarder and when I go into his place it's immaculate! The cleaning staff comes in once or twice a week. I would give them huge kudos for that! My one complaint is the nursing director is not capable of multitasking and she can't get people's medication's right and she does not direct her nursing staff correctly. The managing director, Melissa, is amazing and the food is good too. I would sent my parents there but with an outside firm to manage their medications. I would not trust Northwood Manor's nursing director to do that.

WE are taking one day at a time with the help of the great staff a Hope Memory Care. They have been God sent for our family.

we were impressed with the friendliness and energy of the whole staff. mom needs activity, encouragement and caring attention and we felt this home offered all of that. her room is very nice, the food is very good and there are so many activities to keep mom occupied and her brain engaged. we are so happy so far with the choice we made for mom!!

The transition was easy for my dad and we feel he is being well cared for and they are meeting his social, physical and emotional needs. We are informed and also they ask for information that will help them meet his needs.

It's independent living and it was fine but I have to stress the independent living. The food actually was remarkable. It was very good!

We were looking a couple of years ago (2/2 and a half) and I think the food was better here than other places. At that point mom did not want to go in but it's cheaper than other places, we had mom ready to move there. When we toured we were very excited and we had an opportunity to go out and have dinner and lunch and the food was excellent, the apartment was a lot cheaper than others. She wouold have paid less for a one bedroom here than a studio at other places. I would have put them euqal to others but we weren't there to see how the maids worked and it's a little bit secluded, they did provide transportation but I didn't get a chance to see it in operation, it was on a promise.

The reason that we choose “Jefferson Manor” is because its was so much nicer than many of the other places that we looked at. The people and staff are really nice and friendly and my dad says that he really enjoys the food. Plus the person at “Jefferson Manor” was really good about working with us to get everything to fit in my dad’s fix budget and they still continue to help us even today. My dad is happy at “Jefferson Manor” it was a good choice.

Most of the staff are caring and supportive a few show that they hate their job. Rocky start but has improved must give it time for love one to settle in.

My mom felt comfortable and safe in the space. We had a meal and got to meet a few of the residents, which was nice to converse eight with them and here of their experience and the opportunities that are offered.

We enjoyed the tour. We’re just starting our search for retirement living and it will be a process because we have a lot to downsize. You are definitely going to be on our list of prospects. Thanks again for your help and we will be in touch Penny Fuelling

Overall good feeling about the place. Not sure if this is the place or not. Such a tough decision.

Grand Meadows was very nice. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We were late for our tour appointment and were helped by someone other than the person who was supposed to give the tour. She didn’t have answers to all of our questions but was still very pleasant and helpful. Biggest complaint would be the fact that we are looking for assisted living for both parents and the rooms seemed too small for two people and didn’t have a separate bedroom.

I really wanted to like Thomas Grove Assisted Living and Memory Care since it’s so close to my home, but unfortunately it gave me more of a nursing home feel than an assisted living community. One of the one-bedroom units had no doors, which was a big concern for privacy. I was also uncomfortable with how medications were handled—the medicine rack was right at the entrance, with residents lined up waiting for meds, instead of being in a private room or delivered directly. I didn’t like that the doors are locked and residents have to be let in and out. While I understand this was due to a past security issue with codes being shared, I would have preferred new codes be issued rather than restricting access for everyone. On the positive side, I did like the menu options, having PT/OT on site, and the convenience of parking under the building.

The food services seem to be an ongoing issue. Sometimes the food is "interesting" in flavor. I know it's hard to order and cook for a variety of tastes. We are almost always short staffed in either servers or cooks. Many of our servers aren't trained and then get frustrated by trying to serve, buss and clean too many tables/patrons. And condiment items have to asked for and normally your food is cold by the time you receive the item. Example: butter with a baked potato or shrimp sauce with your shrimp.

We need more attention in the food offered Many people are on restricted diets and have a difficult time eating healthy foods. Also transportation to doctors

What we like the most about the community is - 1. Food 2. The 'need help' button she wears around her neck. 3. Decorations during holidays to make it feel like home. Yes, I would recommend this community to others, it is a nice place... there were a few aspects that were 'hidden from us' or, misrepresented. So going in, we had a few false expectations. I still think it's a nice place... just ask a lot of questions and check-in frequently.

I met with the sales manager and discussed the needs of my relative both physical and financial. We then took a tour of the facility together. I left feeling hopeful and pleased but found the next day that there had been a misunderstanding regarding the option of Medicaid eligibility if needed in the future.

Comfortable Food used to be great! Have cut back. Not happy. Cooperative happy staff. Expensive. Not looking forward to new rates for new year. Overall happy with the place. Five star residence Fort Wayne.

The staff is wonderful. There are a lot of activities including crafts, bingo, lots of board games. The food is o.k. They are adding more items to the menu.

I love that I decided to stay here. This is a very nice place to live. I enjoy the activities and the food is great. The staff here are very polite and friendly. I would recommend to anyone to stay here.
