Much brighter physical space, although less nicely decorated than the Conservatory.

Very nice! Love that it has a balcony option and is even a complex that I could move into and be close by. Loved that it was very hands on, well kept and also had a strong community feeling.

I loved the place. The apartments are great. Independent living the same as assisted living. They have a computer lab. Most of the staff has been there 10 or more years. The cost is the only down side.

No longer there but in my approximate 5 months, did not have a very pleasant experience there. Director whom ran the place was all about only being ran her way, did not want to make any exceptions. Food overall was not very good, they had some issues with Kitchen staff and keeping cook in house. When first arrived they had options of Three meals to chose from, but when had left they were down to just one daily option. Would have to agree to staff when asked generally once a week, if weren't around then they wouldn't clean and do general maintenance unless you had agreed to it. I believe they should have been doing these weekly without asking. When they did do the cleaning though did do a thorough job in our rooms but seemed quite rushed. Also had continued bad experience with below neighbor as that person was a smoker and also had constant loud music playing, eventually was able to move but took over two months to do so. The residents for most part were very friendly and have made a few friends from there. They would make announcements on what the lunches or meals were going to be. Director said upper management is handing out surveys at that time and had asked them not to leave any negative or bad feedback.

The staff wasn’t particularly outgoing or pleasant. Maybe they were busy, but it just wasn’t overly welcoming. The sales person was nice, but of course that's their job. They seemed to be very accommodating though. They remodel the rooms before people come in, and they were going to remodel according to my loved one's preferences.

There wasn't a lot of interactions with the staff.

The food here is actually pretty good for it being institutional. However the plumping could be a little better especially with the hot water, but we would still recommend this community to others.

We chose Deer Park because we really liked the idea of him being close to family and he knows the area very well. It also seemed like for where it was, it was affordable. The facility is lovely, it is up on a hill and when you look out the dining hall you are looking over the Rolling Hills of Novato. He is in a studio and it is very small especially for the money we pay. He said the food has been a little bit hit or miss during COVID, but before COVID he did like the food. They have just opened the dining hall at reduced capacity. Overall, I would recommend this community.

I toured this facility while looking for a place for my Father. It is an older building that has been turned from a school into an assisted living facility. It was very well kept, however, it just felt uncomfortable and I couldn’t put my finger on it. The location itself wasn’t the best and it was right next to a very busy road. I know my Father wouldn’t be able to walk to the store and he isn’t able to drive. The gentleman who gave us the tour was new but he seemed to be knowledgeable. He knew the answers to all of my questions and he was quite friendly. I would recommend this facility to other families.

My loved one has recently made the move into this property and so far we have no complaints of how things are going for him. The staff where easy to work with and I am comfortable with the quality of care that he had received. His apartment that he moved into is the perfect fit for him and was very clean upon move in. Overall I am happy with how things are going for him and would recommend it to anyone.

This community used to be a hotel and they did a really good job of converting it into a retirement community. They are doing some remodeling. They did a good job of making you feel like you are connected to what is going on at the community. They do seem to offer some nice activities. There are a lot of lights and when you open your door you see the atrium. The rooms are smaller and they do also have a small garden.

My mother is still adjusting but things are fine. I think they need a garden area. It would nice if they had an area where the residents could plant vegetables and flowers. They have the space for it but it isn't set up. She does participate in the other activities they offer . She enjoys the food but breakfast is served too early. She misses it sometimes and has to wait for lunch. If they could extend the time frame when they serve breakfast that would be nice. The staff is very nice, considerate and professional. They remember by name when I visit. The aesthetic of the community is very nice. When we toured my mother liked the community was clean with a friendly staff.

For the price, The Clairmont was the best around. It is way cheaper than any of the other ones that we toured. When you walk in, its an older place but the people, in general, are all very down to earth. It is a positive atmosphere and the rooms were better than other places. In his apartment, he has a part which he really likes. The only thing my loved one does not like is the food. But other than that it has been a good experience.

Mom stayed here for a short visit and she did not like it as much as the location in California. This community did not offer the same amount of activities. The staff were nice and the community was clean.

We recently moved my Mom into Quail Lodge. I like the layout of the community and the coziness of the amenities. I definitely think they could have done a much better job of preparing her apartment for move-in. After moving everything in, my husband and I spent over an hour cleaning cabinets (inside and out), door handles, door jambs, and window sills. Unfortunately we also moved her in while there was a transition of staff. The executive director left the week prior as well as the activities director. I think that IF they get the right team in place it could be one of the better communities in the area. As for the meals and residents, my mother is enjoying her first week and feeling very welcome and at home. So far, so good, she is happy and ultimately that is what counts.

The community is wonderful and just what my loved one was looking for. The only thing that me and my loved one would like to see is that the community offers more variety of activities. Also the dinner time does not work for my loved one. The community only offers one time to eat and it is to early. Would like to see a variety of times. I would recommend this community to my friends and my family.
