My Dad is really the one living here. I visit every couple of weeks. Clean place. Lots of activities. Nice people running the place.

Every one is very friendly and residents do what they can to make you feel welcome.

This came in a real close second. the people were very friendly and very nice, the facilities were very nice. It was larger which is not really what we were looking for and we felt it was also a little remote so if you didn't have a car or if they didn't do transportation, you we're going anywhere. We did take my dad to see it though and he liked it.

The only reason I give them a four is because getting them moved in was very difficult because they only have one elevator and it was very tiny and you could only use it at certain times. But since then I think it's been pretty good, they seem to like t but I think it's too far away from family and they say they don't get to see family enough. They like going to dinner, but they're old, they're in their 90s. They like the food, I haven't heard anything bad about it and I think the care is fairly good because they have somebody that comes in and vacuums once a week and someone that changes the linens and they can hire a girl to come in for 13 dollars to do their laundry every week.

This is more independent living and they did not feel comfortable in my dad wife living there because she needed more assistance in getting around the place.

Very 'cosy.' Common areas are inviting - library near entrance, 'sports zone' TV area near dining, and other seating areas, movie theater, 'ice cream parlor' with jukebox, little convenience store managed by residents. Approx. 195 units, 185 residents, 85% occupancy, but wait list for std 1BR in assisted living. Independent living has more flexible meal plans, assisted living on 2nd floor, 21 units. Dining area and common area on floor, activity room. Can eat in main dining. Not assisted living, but personal care per GA state law. Parking available. In personal care/assisted living section, check every 2 hrs,. In independent, can use Right at Home services or other. Only 1, small 1BR available on assisted living. Staff seem friendly and courteous. 50% Jewish, approx. 30 men, some couples. High rise.

I saw 4 places and Las Brisas was the nicest of the places. The cost is not cheap but they cover everything - food, clothes, laundry, meals. We weren't even here yet and they invited us to come for Mother's Day brunch and they had lobster and some other things. It was very nice. I don't know about the activities. They haven't had too many. It's a very nice place. I only have good things to say.

It is a wonderful community. My loved one really likes living here. They have a really nice dining area with some good food. The staff is very friendly and they have lots of activities for the resident who wishes to participate. They are conveniently located for me. They seem to really care about the residents. They involve the families as best as they can and even allow you to volunteer. They do need to update the carpet in the hallway and they could also use more exercise equipment. But overall it is a very good community that we are pleased with and would recommend to anyone.

My mother is very happy here and I can't think of anything negative to say, the positives are shes happy there and they are remodling, so thats an intrusion on everybodys life...she's ready for the new carpet to be in. I think she likes being where she is because shes a big city girl and we tried her living in Talahassee with me and that was too small for her. Shes very close to Roswell rd. and the location is really good for her. Shes met alot of new people and shes participating. All in all im very happy with her there and I dont have to woryr about her falling, even if she did I know they would be able to take care of her.

We met with Ed and Mona Fletcher the on-site managers of this Sunshine Community. They seem to work really hard and are very involved in the Dunwoody Pines community. I was surprised that a good portion of the residents seemed to be male. This place felt older than the two others we saw in the area. The surfaces were worn and tired looking, we were immediately told that new patio cushions had been ordered, the ones there were pretty bad, no one was on the patio using them when we toured. They do have a rather big pool that was pristine. No one was swimming but there were a couple of residents hanging out by it. The activities director is young and very energetic. They have a greenhouse that they are beginning to teach residents about gardening in. They are vey pet friendly, we saw a number of residents out walking their dogs. The cost is $2135 for a one bedroom on the first floor, it's a little more if you want a higher floor. The facility only has four floors. They will clean apartments but will not clean resident's linens, they have laundry facilities but do not offer laundry services. It looks like they only offer independent living, their rate sheet does not mention any other levels of care. Since this facility is older than others we've toured, they have one large activity room that groups section off in, so one group will be playing cards, while another wraps gifts, or plays bingo.

The location was close to where my father in law lived. Other properties were the same layout but he needed an all inclusive property that included meals. Price was a factor when choosing this community. Room is less then 300 sqft and seems like it could be a little bigger for the price

Two bedroom. Live in managers who are in dining room daily getting to know people. Just drop in for lunch. 145 units. 900 square feet 2 bedroom with good floor plan.

Liked it, especially the freedom. Apartment very clean. A little expensive. Beauty shop, poker night.

i was very impressed with the Haven and the director was so enthusiastic and helpful, My hesitation is unlocked doors.

Tour completed. Facility undergoing facelift (carpeting and painting) as well as AC being worked on. Staff very friendly and open.

Strong contender if I could convince my dad

Toured today. Nice apartments. Plenty of room. Range $2100-2500. Can't use long term care insurance, except on additional help. Laundry not included, but available for you to use for free. Can use veterans insurance. 3 meals daily, any time seating.

We like it! At least my brother and I do. Love the patio apartments with outside entrances. Common areas feel comfortable and inviting. Like concept of on-site managers who live there. Director is down to earth and personable. Not at all corporate. Dad will like her.
