My mother is still adjusting but things are fine. I think they need a garden area. It would nice if they had an area where the residents could plant vegetables and flowers. They have the space for it but it isn't set up. She does participate in the other activities they offer . She enjoys the food but breakfast is served too early. She misses it sometimes and has to wait for lunch. If they could extend the time frame when they serve breakfast that would be nice. The staff is very nice, considerate and professional. They remember by name when I visit. The aesthetic of the community is very nice. When we toured my mother liked the community was clean with a friendly staff.

For the price, The Clairmont was the best around. It is way cheaper than any of the other ones that we toured. When you walk in, its an older place but the people, in general, are all very down to earth. It is a positive atmosphere and the rooms were better than other places. In his apartment, he has a part which he really likes. The only thing my loved one does not like is the food. But other than that it has been a good experience.

Mom stayed here for a short visit and she did not like it as much as the location in California. This community did not offer the same amount of activities. The staff were nice and the community was clean.

We recently moved my Mom into Quail Lodge. I like the layout of the community and the coziness of the amenities. I definitely think they could have done a much better job of preparing her apartment for move-in. After moving everything in, my husband and I spent over an hour cleaning cabinets (inside and out), door handles, door jambs, and window sills. Unfortunately we also moved her in while there was a transition of staff. The executive director left the week prior as well as the activities director. I think that IF they get the right team in place it could be one of the better communities in the area. As for the meals and residents, my mother is enjoying her first week and feeling very welcome and at home. So far, so good, she is happy and ultimately that is what counts.

The community is wonderful and just what my loved one was looking for. The only thing that me and my loved one would like to see is that the community offers more variety of activities. Also the dinner time does not work for my loved one. The community only offers one time to eat and it is to early. Would like to see a variety of times. I would recommend this community to my friends and my family.

In the beginning it was very well and the staff were all really nice and friendly, I would rate them 4.5 in the beginning. I haven't seen the new staff but since the change my dad has been seeing a price increase monthly. Meals and activities are provided. They also go on Retirement Field Trips often. It is a clean community which includes my dad's room getting cleaned and a safe place for my dad.

The community is pretty clean and they staff do a good job keeping it clean. We have activities available to try out and that is okay. I eat from the community and the meals taste good but the staff are pretty slow, it takes too long to get my meals. I have no problems overall and it is going good for me.

Long Term Care Insurance does not help pay for Garden Way. If you are an older person looking for a great place to spend retirement years, Garden Way is Great! The staff at Garden Way did great job selling us on the place (an easy sell) but when Mom arrived, it was too loud, overwhelming size and we needed to relocate her within a week. She needed more care than was available at Garden Way. Learn from our mistake!

Madison Meadows is a great choice for senoirs. The staff is outstanding & really show a genuine concern for the residences. Even though it's off a main street it is not a concern. The property is set back far enough & they have security on duty every time I've been there. The food is pretty good & they will make a concession if you are sick, they will bring food to your room. Residence will have plenty to do if they like to be social. Granted the studios are very small I think the point is for it to be as affordable as possible.

A very nice senior living facility. It is very clean and the administrative staff are very friendly and helpful. My mother has been there for just a few months and her apartment is quite nice. The food is very good and the activities program is okay. I recommend Hammond Glen to Seniors that are totally Independent.

The Clairmont was a very pleasant living experience for our loved one. The staff was courteous, professional and helpful at all times.

They don't even have a little cook stove in the units. You really have to want everything done for you. You have to go downstairs if you want anything in a freezer. You have to go to the meals because there is not way to cook meals in your apartment. Capital Place has almost become a nuisance because they keep calling and calling. My sister loves their food. They invite you over to eat when you're looking for a place. That would be a perfect place for her but she can't afford it. It's very convenient to things. That's why I checked into it. It's almost right across almost from the mall.

Staff is smiling and helpful. Like that they are almost always easy to find. Wish they would get him from his room at least once a day to walk and want them to encourage him to go to activities. Food is excellent. Want them to try to seat him with patients close to his level of dementia. Most patients are at a much deeper level and then they get no conversation. Room is very nice, need to mop under the bed and clean toilet daily. I have had to clean toilet 5 times - 2 days in a row. Most times it has appeared clean, but lately always smells of urine in the hallways. Laundry staff is questionable. I always go through his closet and have returned to them as many as 9 items, per trip that don't belong to him. Also returned a fitted sheet that wasn't his. Now we are missing at least 7 of his very good shirts and all 6 of his white bath towels and several hand towels. We were unable to get him to give us his cash and now [amount removed] is missing from his wallet, which we found in the laundry hamper. The staff has been excellent at trying to help whenever he loses things. He has gotten pneumonia twice since he got there 5 months ago. After one visit in early March, I could smell the illness as soon as I walked through the in house door and walking to his room, I knew people were sick. By that evening he was in the hospital for 2 days and I became so sick I was completely down for 24 days and am just now recovering. They told us there was a virus going around after we arrived that first day and I don't know what precautions they were taking, but said they had no medication. The director seems nice, but is quick to jump if she thinks you say anything negative, and quick to point out what she wants. She followed me to the car to tell me that we could not take trash to their dumpster from his room, because it would cost an extra [amount removed] a month if there was anything that was not theirs. When we moved him in we did have boxes, etc to dispose of and broke everything down. The time she disciplined me, we had just thrown away a poster and from he did not want. My son noted that they do not break down their boxes and it makes the dumpster pretty full. We dug the poster and frame back out and took it with us. The director is like fire and water with my son, as he is the trustee and expects their cooperation and care, at the cost of [Amount removed] month to be everything they promised. She acts insulted about things he says, but has no problem insulting in return. She and I seem on good terms, but I'm the pushover. Last week our main go to and best friend to our patient living there quit. He was the only person who responded to us when things needed to be done.

The kitchen needs to offer low sodium meals. Madison Meadows is centrally located on 7th Street. My room is very small studio with a very small refrigerator, but they have larger studios and 1 bedrooms with a large refrigerator and a range top. Varies from small and large studios and 1 bedrooms.

Nurses and aides are wonderful. Food options are good but food is often not warm and service is slow. Following through with services they claim to offer. Better communication from administration. Housekeeping inside unit is subpar. [name removed] nurse practitioner was not onsite either time we needed appointments having to use urgent care off site. For the price services should be better.

They definitely wouldn't get a five 3.5, I have some issues with their staff not taking the appropriate care for my mom. And issues with them when it comes to her diabetes. And her constantly being wet when I visit or other family members visit. Dirty diapers in her bathroom. Smelled her whole room on several occasions.

The grounds are very nice and the facility is very pretty. However, their communication is awful. They have made changes to my mom's care plan without telling me. It is incredibly hard to get a hold of someone there, even in an emergency. Very frustrating. I would find my mom a better community if the higher-quality places weren't so expensive. Also, three of my mother's gold rings were stolen by someone who works there the first week she moved in.

I can tell you I would not move back again. Attitudes of some staff. Corporate dragging feet on issues. Rent going up every year more than COLA increases. They also rented to those beyond normal abilities to care properly for themselves in order to keep quotas up.

Well, since my client is been there which is a little over a year there's a lot of unrest that was going on with different management and people be laid off or people quit so now they under sunshine management, and we are hoping that things will kind of straightened out in communications from the staff to the residence will improve. Transportation to different places is very limited, but the new management is hoping that eventually they will have seven days a week right now. I believe it's only three.

This is a good place for people who are capable of self-reliance. Not the place for those in need of any assistance. You'll get what you pay for here.
