What we like the most about Marshall Pines is the smell and the staff and yes we would recommend this community to other families based on our experience so far.

Enjoy living here. Feel safe. Facility kept clean. All staff are friendly and helpful. Fellow residents are overall friendly. Prompt and courteous service. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families

Place is clean and professional but understaffed. This facility is tailored for individuals can help themselves with limited assistance. If you are looking for a one-on-one type of care this facility is way understaffed to provide adequate care. Since there are not enough care staff to watch for those needed more help, this facility is not provide adequate individual care as promised prior to checking my mom in. Underdelivered as originally promised. Since safety is the facility's number one thing on the list, therefore patients who required more time for their routines are not able to like my mom.

Meals were very good. The folks living there are lovely. I stay in touch. I stayed at Waterford a short 5 months. I decided I want to stay in my own home. Glad I did. More flat space my home to walk rather than at Waterford where I had to go down a steep hill to get to walking area.

I have been visiting a friend who recently moved to your facility. I am a retired RN. I would rate your facility as most excellent. It is always clean and fresh in appearance, decor is great and currently being refreshed in all ways. I have been welcomed to join her and others at different meals times and have found the food to be well prepared, visually enticing, varied and....delicious. The staff is all very professional and are happy with their jobs which they all do very well. They are respectful and very caring of the residents. A very big thank you to everyone for such a wonderful place for my friend to live in.. She is happy, safe and comfortable in her apartment and in the facility. God bless all of you.

The facility is understaffed. Some must work more than needed.

The cost was all inclusive and is more affordable than other facilities we looked at. The only downside is, what is affordable is pretty small. That has been my mom's only real complaint. Any issue we have had has been addressed by management. All the tenants are nice and welcoming as well.

The manager, [name removed] has been exceptionally helpful for us, kind and caring . We think highly of her and her wonderful pet Lola. The units are older, and my unit could use paint and other small issues but the maintenance staff has been fantastic. [name removed] and his team you couldn't ask for more. I think the Avanti rent is on par with the neighborhood. I haven't checked yet as my son will represent me in the negotiations, if there are any, thank you for getting out ahead of our upcoming lease renew

Pleased so far. Mom had to be moved for special med adjustments shortly after arriving, which was hard. But now she’s back and things seem to be better now because she is no longer angry and having outbursts that make others feel unsafe.

The value is quite high but the cost is competitive for the OC/LA area for this type of care/living accommodations. Overall, very nice place but my biggest concern is the staff turnover from the management on down to the kitchen service staff. I understand that this is not unique in this service industry though.

Excellent med tech care. Constant supervision by staff. Light and bright interior and large central patio area. Food is not very tastey. Small facility with about 40 rooms.

The staff is very friendly and follow up on requested items.

Pros and Cons for my two months at Dunwoody Pines FOOD Pro. Three meals a day- Full breakfast to ones liking Lunch-This is the main meal- two entrees, choose one, two sides no choice Salad, fruit and soup bar plus dessert. Dinner is very sparce Con I would prefer the main meal in the evening. APARTMENT- Pro Completely remodeled apartment Large kitchen with built in microwave, electric stove top and midsized refrigerator. Bathroom has a full size walkin shower with sliding glass doors. Roomy bedroom and living room plus more than adequate closet space. Weekly cleaning of resdence is adequate. AMDIANCE Former Embassy Suites Pro All rooms face an open area This open area on the first floor is the dinnig area and activity space. Con- It can be noisy at meal time Staff is accomodating and caring Quiet neighborhood yet close to a shoping center with supermarket restaurants etc Major interstates and public transportation faciliates easy access to Atlanta sites

When it comes to the cleanliness, the laundry rooms need a lot of help but everything else is very clean). For the activities they could do more arts and crafts or activities besides bingo and going to the casino. The value for cost is a 5 because overall it's a good experience and after pricing other places, this exceeds most in the area. Yes, of course I would recommend this community to other families. Nothing is perfect and I think they do a very good job of trying to please all the diverse needs of their tenants.

Positives: Staff is very friendly. The food is good. The facility is clean. Negatives: Maintenance is delayed unless it's for something urgent. They are also understaffed on the weekends. Meals take a long time since they don't have enough people working on the weekends.

Mom moved in about a month ago & is settling in nicely & joined weekly Bingo !! Still a big adjustment, but she is VERY happy with her decision! She’s close by, making new friends and all the freedom she wants without the hassle of home ownership and worrying about property related issues or expenses. We’re so glad we found The Woods - most affordable option for independent living around !! Note- This facility doesn’t have a “care team” nor have I participated in any activities.

The management team was very helpful during the time period of viewing the property and learning about what was available for residents. After move in, the staff members have been great in assisting with adjustments that were needed. The common areas have been kept clean and orderly. Still learning about the different schedules for meals and activities. Appreciate the help that has been provided by everyone.

People, both residents and staff are really fine people. There were some issues with dining service - coordination of timing for lunch, sometime salad bar limited items, seating rules. However, most have been addressed and improved. Biggest complaint is gnats in apartments. Need to get pest control for all apts.

I don't require any specific care - it's a retirement community but there are a small # of residents that use assisted living & some that have helpers but that may be 1/4 or less of the total residents. They have a lot of activities & fun & interesting events. The pricing is reasonable. Some apartments have been renovated. The building is old but the location is beautiful with outdoor patios both in front & back sides. The biggest attraction are the residents. There are a lot of really nice, friendly people here. This has been my 1st experience with a retirement community so I have nothing to compare it to other than I visited 8 different ones thru A Place For Mom before I chose Hammond Glen.

My sister is happy there. The staff and residents. All so friendly. They also have plenty of organized activities and celebrations, like people's birthday. The food is just ok in my opinion.
