I work as an independent caregiver, not on staff with Garden Way, and upon a temporary hire with a resident today, I was very pleasantly surprised and comforted by the rich environment, friendly, warm staffing, quality food and clean, elegant surroundings. The amenities are abundant, easily accessible and of high quality. I would consider this as a placement for one of my own family members,

Go for it! They only serve white bread and they don’t have a notary public on site. They have a very open and helpful management team! The staff is very friendly. They’re just a very lovely community. Compared to other communities I’ve had experience with, it’s a good value.

A very nice place. My dad loves it. The staff is awesome.

So far I love it love it, I am thrilled to death with it. The only thing is that I wish they had more outings, they do have activities but mostly it's cards. They are very, very, friendly. They treat you with dignity. The laundry room doesn't need coins, and it gives you a feeling that you are more in a community than a commercial place. The food is very good, the chef comes out before each meal and says this is on the menu and today I got a really good buy on strawberries so we are also gonna have strawberry waffles, or the spinach looked so good, and he talks to you about why he chose whatever it is. They keep them informed of what they are doing and why with everything.

After MUCH research while looking for a friendly, affordable living place for my 90 year old mother, I decided to call and visit Clairmont. I remembered them being recommended by several friends whose parents had stayed there. It is the staff that makes the difference at Clairmont--they are informative, accessible, warm and helpful both to the residents and to the family. Hugs are free :) and there are lots of them. Mom is delighted with her apartment and patio, the staff, the food, and the friends she has made after only a few days--and so are we. She doesn't have time to work the daily puzzle with all her activities there. Thanks, Clairmont

This place is wonderful. It has literally changed my life for the better and my mom is extremely happy there. The staff is unbelievably helpful, patient and kind. Despite not having any official nursing care, they are well-equipped and willing in emergency situations. They festively celebrate holidays and provide lots of manageable activities. It is also very clean.

They have good food and our loved one is really happy here. When we were looking at communities our loved one did not want to go into one and was fighting it the entire time. Then we put our loved on in Deer Park and they love it there now. We were pleasantly surprised on how much she is enjoying the community. The best part is that it is clean and even smells clean there is no odor in this community. We are very pleased with them.

4 star overall rating. Due to grounds are under construction for beautification. Other than the construction, 5 stars would be for all other areas; staffing, food, apartment size, activities, amenities friendly and caring community amongst the residents and staff.

I was given a tour of this facility by its Executive Director. My dialogue with him and its Sales Director was straightforward and frank, which was very helpful. This place has seen better days in terms of condition of the building. My particular situation makes me decide whether to deal with MM almost entirely based upon the numbers, so I'm willing to lower my standards a little in order to get out from under an untenable mess I'm now in. The place was clean.

Facility is very clean. Designed nicely, with beautiful outside space. Residents really like the food. Administrators and general employees try their best, in a very difficult field.

The units were small and didn't have kitchens. [name removed] gave me the tour and was very informative. The facility was clean, neat, and we'll organized. I was not impressed with the quality of materials in the apartments. The storage and closet space in the apartments is very limited.

It is just what they said it would be. The 2 BR apartment has about 1000 sq ft. The bedroom fits our King-size bed with room to move around it & space for a dresser. The half point off is for the "kitchenette." It has a sink & a fridge and a very small counter that won't fit our microwave. I'm not sure what I'll do about that - probably buy a smaller one & donate the full-size to Habitat for Humanity. We really appreciate having 2 bathrooms!. Meals are mostly well-planned and quite large enough. I don't appreciate biscuits & gravy for breakfast, but there are always eggs, bacon/sausage and cereal & fruit every day if one doesn't like the featured item. I think we are satisfied with our choice. Residents & staff are outgoing & welcoming. There are nightly movies and some kind of gentle exercise program every weekday morning.

There is always something. A meal he can go eat, an activity he can attend, a walk he can go on. To be fair it's a biased point of view I have because his living situation has greatly improved. This location and independent living has addressed some of the biggest problems he was having like food access and cleaning.

The person I met for the tour was very helpful and really enjoys her job. She showed me several units and well as the amenities. I think my relative could be happy there. I talked with several residence and 1 that was not but loved visiting her friend there.

Excellent meals, friendly staff. More activities would be appreciated. I would recommend Summerfield. Off the four independent adult living places I've lived in Summerfield, by far, surpasses all of them; friendlier staff, better food. They have ground down sidewalk "lips", thus eliminating tripping hazards. Merrill, on the other hand, recognized the lips as a hazard and painted the lips red, which were mostly faded to such a degree they were mostly invisible. I would like to add Summerfield has a much more varied menu than Merrill. Wait times between ordering and receiving your meal is usually few minutes at Summerfield. Wait times at Merrill often exceeded a hour. Summerfield had soup and salad bars, Merrill had neither.

The various all day scheduled activities for the residents and the balanced meals. I would recommend to others.

Staff is attentive, room is comfortable, resident population could be me active, but that's not Capital Place's fault. I would recommend to others.

If it were closer, it would have been in the running for our loved one. The only negative was we did smell urine in the common areas.

There have been several things they weren't very good about answering or addressing. Living so far away, there are questions I have and am dependent on them for answers.
