Excellent caring staff!

We moved my mother to Quail Lodge a month ago from out of state. It has been a big adjustment for her but she seems to be settling in. She had been living on her own with a companion 3 times a week, and occasional visits from family. She was alone a lot and was without much socialization. She has some memory loss and does not drive. She needs help with meal planning, shopping and scheduling. At Quail Lodge, she maintains some independence by having a private apartment, yet she can have socialization daily in the dining room and with the activity options. She has a lovely balcony where she can have her plants, and sit outside for her morning tea or afternoon reading. We have found the staff at Quail Lodge to be friendly, responsive and helpful. Everyone from concierge to management, housekeeper, hairdresser, and dining staff have been welcoming to Mom. They truly seem to care about the residents and their well-being. I just asked Mom what she thinks about Quail Lodge and she says, "they really make me feel that I can be more independent for this next phase of my life." She feels that being at Quail Lodge will relieve some of the care responsibilities for her children.

This community has been awesome and is going good. They are very clean and on top of maintaining the facility. I think the food is fabulous and amazing, they have a top-notch chef. My dad has participated in a few activities.

It has been a wonderful experience living at Creekside Pines. The people are great and very friendly. The only downside I can see is that they allow pets and the pets do not always make it outside in time. The community is beautiful and well kept. The food is good and they feed you to much. I would recommend this community. Thank you to A Place for Mom for all their help.

Our contact at Summerfield was very nice and what we noted was that he called every resident by name as they passed in the halls. Everyone, residents and staff were friendly. This is an older facility but it is clean and well maintained. They have a great activity schedule both onsite and off site. It just felt like a nice place and our Mom agrees now that she calls it home.

The first day we walked into Summerfield Estates we were impressed. The staff was very friendly as were the residents. This facility is an older one but looked and smelled nice, not new and definitely not old. Our contact there, Peter, was helpful and friendly and called every resident by name as they passed by. It just felt right. There were activities planned daily and the food was delicious!

My mother has been living at the Clairmont for about 2 weeks now. The staff has been most accommodating. They respond quickly to requests for assistance and have all been very pleasant. The location of the facility is good as my mom is close to medical offices, retail, groceries, big box stores, etc. The Clairmont offers transportation to any appointments she has, which is included in the price. She has found that the dining room has its share of hits and misses with the food but she has no major complaints. I've eaten there as well and everything I've had has been fine. The best part is that the residents get three meals/ day with menu options. They also receive snacks, guests are welcome to dine, and there is some flexibility in the dining hours. The price for everything is very reasonable and her location in terms of proximity to me couldn't be better. I don't see how she could have received better value for the money going anywhere else.

A Perfect place for my mom and me since its close to my office. Really nice 1 bedroom unit with a balcony and beautiful dinning room and grounds. Lots of friendly employees and the residents seem happy and well cared for. A little pricey but it's worth it. Liked the fact that they allow pets and are month to month leasing without a huge buy-in.

Since moving Mom into the Gardens I've had to increase the level of care to ensure she is getting the proper attention but things have been really good! The facility itself is beautiful and the residents seem to be very happy. I've actually recommended the place since she's moved in and Mom's best friend will be moving in next!

I am definitely okay with making the decision to move to The Continental. The staff is always willing to help and very friendly. There is always something for us residents to do. I really enjoy playing rummy cube and mahjong. I will also start playing mexican train which I am really excited about! So far the experience has been a great one!

My Dad moved into Creekside Oaks one year ago. Although the transition from his home was challenging for him, the amazing staff, friendly residents and numerous activities made a difficult time for him much easier. Now he can't imagine living anywhere else and is happy he moved. We looked at several options in the area, and the decision to choose Creekside was an easy one. As his daughter, the peace of mind knowing he is in a safe, healthy, and welcoming place is priceless. Eating the excellent food with him during Creekside visits is icing on the cake!

Our mother-in-law has been at Hammond Glen only a month, so it is still early to form an opinion. We are happy with the overall environment - it is clean and well kept. She seems very happy with her apartment and has met a few neighbors. The staff has been helpful in getting her cable set up and assisting in other ways. She is still acting a bit shy, but we see some positive signs that she is socializing more, which is so important to us. Place for Mom was a wonderful resource for us - I don't know how we would have narrowed done the choices had it not been for the excellent guidance provided. Thanks to the staff and best wishes!

Fountain Crest is a lovely place. The staff bend over backwards to make all residents and their guests feel welcome. The spaces, particularly the porches, are all very homey and comfortable. The location is convenient and the grounds are great for individuals who want to be able to walk and be outside. Highly recommend it.

Things are going very well at Brook Ridge. It is nice and open. The food is good. It is well lit. It is easy to navigate around in. I have been very pleased overall at this facility.

Overall things are going pretty well at The Continental. The main thing that needed improving is the food and service. They are working on it though. Service started later that it should for the noon dining. The food quality has also improved. The residents and the staff are so friendly. She enjoys her one bedroom apartment. She has weekly housekeeping. I like their underground parking. It is very nice and a big plus.

Very light, airy and welcoming facility. Friendly staff and residents make adjustment easy. Lots of common areas to relax in or comfortable rooms to enjoy privacy. Basic cable TV in rent makes it easy for residents to settle in quickly. Many rooms have been updated and are super nice with new appliances and flooring. Convenient dining with excellent food and many options. Plans to move to a restaurant style serving will only make it more convenient. The only drawback is just one elevator for the three floors.

The Initial interview and tour were excellent. I was not informed of the co-op fees until we were completing the rental agreement., Some of the initial provisions have not been done after a month in residency. The living experience has been very thus far.

My mother in law is living at The Gardens at Brook Ridge and they have been really good. She does complain sometimes about them not suiting her requests for medications and not handling her request in the friendliest most professional way possible. She wants it when she wants it and they are not always willing to accommodate. It is a very nice place though and overall things have gone very well.

The only complaint that my mother has is that the food is a little bland. I know they have a lot of people with heart problems and such and therefore they cannot have a lot of salt or spicy foods, but if there was a way to make the food a little more flavorful that would be good. Everything else about them has been very positive. I have been very well pleased with the level of care and service we are getting for the money.

I recently spent a week with my mom and stayed in her studio apartment. The food was gourmet level with great variety and generosity portions (very affordable for me as a guest). There were so many activities offered that we couldn't have participated in all of them. Those we did join were fun and well organized. The staff are very hard working and committed to excellence. What impressed me most was their genuine love and concern for each resident and guest. When staff in positions from housekeeper to head chef - and especially the resident managers - invite and act on feedback regularly, you know you are in a very special place. Special kudos to the activity director - the best I have ever met in any setting! I toured a couple of one bedroom apartments and was highly impressed by the varied layouts and great value for the price, especially for the location. Potential residents and staff are interviewed carefully to be sure that they will fit well in and contribute to a positive, encouraging environment. There just aren't enough superlatives for this place. We kids are satisfied that this the best possible place our mom could live.
