They gave my grandmother the wrong meds more than once, left her in a soiled bed until 12:30, [removed], locked her in her room when she was in bed and unable to get up on her own, and told us at 1 am (upon returning from the hospital after a fall) that she could no longer be cared for there and that we would need to stay with her 24 hours a day starting immediately

I am not happy at all with the Ponder Creek. I don’t know where these people get how great this place is. It may have been when it was under the old management but they have had a huge turnover since July 2014. It has gone downhill ever since whoever the managers was before July they need to bring them back. Manager now are hateful to the residents mean to the staff residents are moving out right & left they get you in promise you the moon. Then treat the poor people like dogs and the price is outrageous for what you get my dad called me thanksgiving they had leftover turkey sandwiches and that was all on paper plates. . There is never no food out or tea or coffee after hours for the price they should be getting T – bones seven days a week. If they think a resident is calling the corporate office they make it so bad for they resident they have to move My Dad moved in in Aug. And moved out in November. It is a horrible place

This place used a bait and switch tactic. Corporate brought in new management team who immediately took away food options, snacks and church buses. Additional multiple times they attempted to intimidate the residents to get long term leases signed, even though most had contracts that had not yet expired WITHOUT offering credit for balance of contract. Brought in State and other auditors. Moved my parent out and would not recommend ANY HOLIDAY units to anyone.

Looks are decieving, make sure you thoroughly investigate this place before sending your parents there. incompetence on every level starting with the nurse down to the staff.

Dirty and smells of urine. Residents don't look clean. Staff looks overworked, stressed, and hurried. Nurse on evening shift acts like a spoiled brat, and won't take ideas from family. Food is bland. Have been serving powdered milk at meals to save money. Kitchen staff are rude to residents. High turnover of staff. New faces everyday! Nursing super and administrator both left abruptly. Makes me think something is going on? Looking for another place for my relative.

These people are not reputable. A family member lived there for one year and they refused to give back the security deposit as required by Michigan law until we filed a lawsuit (and won the suit).

Horrible place to put your loved one, there is not enough staff for all the residents to which is very dangerous memory care building is way to small for the amount of residents they have to which it seems very cramped up the chairs and carpet are filthy and smell of urine the type of residents they have there shouldn't even be there they are a danger to the other residents and staff they don't seem well medicated,the food was horrible they serve cut up hotdog in beans I thought it looked like prison food they are definitely all talk and no walk they will feed you lies to get your money but once your loved one is in there they could care less and the woman that is incharged of the memory care building pat was very rude and looked like she was either drunk or on some heavy drug, your best to look somewhere else

I have had my loved one living in Pearl Crossing in Strongsville for several years. The only reason my loved one is there is because we are STUCK! I WOULD NOT recommend this facility to ANYONE!!! I work in health care and this was THE WORST decision I have ever made. There is no consistency in management, there is no compassion, there are no activities and they can't hold their employees...a very telling sign! please do yourself a favor and put your loved one somewhere where they will matter! I give ZERO stars to this organization as their only concern is $$. The only person who cared for these residents has left the organization, another telling sign.

My loved one lived here for a time, and I had nothing but problems with them. Our first issue was that I ended up getting charged a huge amount due to a medication issue. Their plan allows you to have two medications per day that they will take care of and give to your loved one, but any extras involve a DAILY surcharge. My loved one was on two medications, but also had a prescription for xanax for occasional panic attacks. He did not need this often, but since they had to keep it on hand I was still charged daily whether he took it or not. Another issue I had a big problem with was at one point we returned from a hospital stay and someone (I'm assuming it was staff members since this was a memory care facility) had been in his room watching his TV, and left chinese takeout on his coffee table which had long since dried up.They tried to tell me that my loved one, who has severe memory issues, somehow managed to acquire Chinese take-out and leave it there. He also had an expensive pair of slippers go missing, which they said they would find for us. Whenever I asked about these later they would just blow me off. I felt like my complaints were often just ignored. After being treated like this for his whole stay we moved him to another location which we like much more. I would NOT recommend anyone use this facility.

When our family had to look for a place for our mother this was a great place, so we thought. In the last 4-6 months of this year (2013) this faucility has had a huge change in its staff> where there was once compassion and care for our mother no longer is there. The current staff is unable or willing to deal with the rollercoaster of difficulties associated w/ Dimesia or Alzimers. Family members have had caregivers state that our mother is "cazy". she has had 3 UTI's and each time they sent her out to have a physic evaluation before she was aloud back. They increased her cost to stay but are doing less for her. where there where activities to ingages the residents in the memory care unit no longer takes place. Our Mother Deserves better, We are in searsh for a new place.
