This is the most disorganized facility in which I’ve ever lived. In management the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. A huge lack of communication. The housekeepers and servers are the best part of GE. If I didn’t love my apartment I wouldn’t live here.

I'm not sure this place could be worse. My Mother in Law has been here for one year and the turnover is nuts - a different person as the director every couple of months. The caregiver turnover is terrible. The food was incredibly good, then chef changeover and changeover.... She's been missing medications, they don't order perscription updates on time.... Run away, far away...

Our experience with a family member's stay at Story Point was very unpleasant. The staff were rude and neglectful and the administration was defensive when we complained and did not address concerns. He was given a button to push, if he needed help, that never worked. When we told the staff it didn't work, they argued with us and said it did. We tried it repeatedly and it did not work, and other residents said theirs didn't work either. He was routinely neglected there. Staff consistently told me he was confused, which has never been true. Now, during the pandemic, we are allowed in because he is dying, and the staff there act offended when I ask them to keep a distance of at least six feet, and the front desk staff do not consistently wear masks. When I ask them to wear a mask before they take my temperature, they act offended. When I ring the buzzer for staff to come, it takes them 12 minutes, or longer, to arrive. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Both my parents lived in this facility until they died. My mother was one of the first residents and it started out well. My father soon followed. The decline in care was evident over the months and of course by that time, my parents were both too ill to leave and we hired outside care for them both. The turnover in staff is insane. All the good people who worked there when they opened are gone. The original ED was completely useless and the head "nurse" is in over her head (although she is nice). They literally have no protocol for tracking if a resident comes to dinner, eats or does anything. There were times when staff made the BED AFTER MY MOTHER SOILED THE LINENS. So much of the care staff don't care at all. Although they offer activities and an application for family members to track participation, they clearly don't know who their residents are. How do I know... three days after my dad's death they were sending us notices that he was participating in activities. Their call buttons that the residents wear work 50% of the time. They often have two care givers for 40+ residents. They don't understand what it means when hospice steps in to provide care. (which is really important if you want insurance to pay for the medical services). The food is horrible. Heating and cooling issues were constant in the apartments. Conversations with the ED and head nurse always amounted to this response "that's not how we're supposed to do things". I had cameras in both parents rooms to monitor their care because without hard proof they would claim none of the accusations were accurate. I proved them wrong but nothing changed. I could go on and on about this place. The issues are endless. Please don't let the beautiful accommodations fool you into thinking the care matches the furniture. My sisters and I are sad my parents are gone but we will not miss the immense stress the Sheridan caused.

Always short staffed and a lot of turnover there have been 6 GMs in the last 3 years. They work the staff to death. This place needs remodeling very dated and dirty.

Pearl Crossing is a clean place and staff very nice. However, the meal service leaves something to be desired! Takes about an hour to get your meal after they finally take your order and is never a warm/hot meal. Luke warm at best and they serve WAY too much pork.

Terrible!

I lived at Pearl Crossing and finally moved. Their associate managers kept coming into my apartment when I wasn’t notified or went out with my daughter. When they went into my apartment it wasn’t an emergency such as medical or building related. The only way I knew they were coming in and searching/looking around through my stuff was that I had a Nest and Canary security camera in my apartment. This is an independent living apartment and I wasn’t notified.

If could give this place a zero, I would. My mom lived there for a year and half before passing and we had to constantly monitor her care with video cameras. Because of her advance dementia we felt forced to keep her in her familiar environment. So to offset the terrible care, we hired private care for her all day long. Don't let the beautiful apartments and lobby fool you into thinking that the care will match the physical environment. The only staff worth keeping is the receptionist and rental agent.

The best maintenance - prompt and thorough Best Housekeeping...everything is kept immaculate The services are always on time And the FOOD! Chef has made us a 5 star restaurant The staff is always friendly and helpful :) Best Entertainment I also enjoy the workout facilities, they are great

I noticed that the reviews for Glen Oaks are approximately 2 years old. They do not accurately reflect, in my opinion, the experience that I am having with my relative. Residents are injured and reports do not get completed. Staff are scared to say anything, because they are afraid of reprisals from management. When you bring a concern forward, you are treated hatefully and in a manner that just demonstrates that they do not care. There have been a number of inspections into this facility, to respond to complaints. They seem to clean up the complaints long enough to pass whatever inspection they have to pass, and then once the authorities have left, things backslide in the manner in which they were before. This is a very expensive facility, and it seems to me that there should be a greater amount of care and attention afforded to the residents. Most of what I observed was staff standing around. Even during mealtimes, staff stood in the corner, expecting individuals in the full throes of dementia who could not get their own plate of food to feed themselves. I watched the staff gathered together in the back of the dining room, joking and laughing with one another, while residents begged for their food.

My parent was in the memory care unit. Within a week of moving in, the director left. They had only seven residents but were not able to handle the slightest variance from behavioral norms. They required an outside caregiving company 24 hours a day, seven days a week for my parent at an enormous additional cost and then they were not available to help the outside caregivers when they needed assistance. Maybe with the guidance of a new director, things can improve but we were not able to continue to pay what turned into five figures a month for Atria and the outside caregiving company.

The facility has been opened for less than 2 months and the original management team is already gone with replacements from the out of state home office. Lots of staff turnover. Care is very poor due to unqualified and short staffed care givers. Their focus is on making it look pretty and not on care. Pull cord and emergency button is very slow, half hour plus. Medication administration is questionable. Lots of undelivered promises. We have hired outside care to care for our parents within the facility until we can move them out.

Keep your loved one out. 1 elevator for entire complex. Horrible food, WHEN they get the meal promised. Our step mother reports that at LEAST 3 days a week they run out of meal advertised. People left to served are given choice of small sandwich, soup, crackers or other poor substitute. They still charge those people for the promised meal..... New owners need to be onsite, not close doors at 7pm. Lots of open rooms. Word of mouth showing of poorly run facility!

I agree that you should not allow your loved one to live in this facility. Over the last 4 years, the place has gone downhill. The roof leaks and has tarps on it for over a YEAR. The light fixtures are leaking water which has to be a fire hazard at the very least. I'm sure there is mold since the roof leak has never been repaired. The food is horrible. And now it appears they are not having hot meals or even regualr meals served any more. The staff turnover is very high. Not sure if it's the pay or what the issue is but there is anew manager every time I go visit. They churn the residents, too, which is never a good sign

They promise you the moon to get your deposit, and then they're done with you. They have no time for you after signing the lease. Management blatantly HIDES from "difficult" residents. They nickel and dime you on your monthly statements right down to charging to make a single copy of a document. Resident aids are lazy and sleep on their shifts. People fall and no one's allowed to help. High staff turn over. Dept directors act like they know it all and don't get me started on memory care. Residents get mocked and ignored.

Danbury Woods of Cuyahoga Falls My mother lives here. The new managemt team has NO clue to what they are doing . They don’t care what you have to say ... it’s constant social hour when I come in ... they present they care ... they have no clue as to what they are doing... RC on cell phones all the time... hide in rooms.. I use to be met by a director who was top notch and knew what was going on and could tell me everything about my mom. Current managemt is a disaster .. Don’t bring your loved on here..

My mother is a resident there. It has significantly gone down hill over the past month. Again, changes in management. I use to get quick response to my concerns ; now I get ... playing phone tag .. without response. The DON appears to have very little knowledge about Alzheimer’s Dementia. This is not a good selling point especially when you have a MCU. Often when I arrive it’s social hour in front lobby .... hum... I don’t see quality care or integrity like I did previously ... I’m looking to Move my love one.. in an industry where you need that Dementia Expirence - I just don’t see it anymore ..

Was not impressed at all.

My father was in skilled nursing at Legacy Pointe. Although the facility is pleasant and mostly clean, the care is highly questionable. My father was tumbled out of bed by a nurse trying to re-position him WITHOUT ASSISTANCE. Because he was paralyzed, he had no way to protect himself, which led to a serious shoulder injury etc etc. If you can, RUN, DON'T WALK from this place. We, and Dad were so very disappointed, and fear for the patients who can't speak for themselves.
