The director of nursing was HORRIBLE!!Everything needs to improve. Once I moved my husband he thrived. I was so disappointed. I could never get a hold of anyone in charge. It was ridiculous.

Pros: food was tasty and plentiful. The apartment was very nice. They have a van that you can request for transportation to appointments and errands. Many outings for the residents every month. Cons: poor communication from the supervisors to residents. Poor communication between supervisors and their staff. Laurus caregivers supervisor difficult to work with. Requested my mom to be showered on the weekend. She said they couldn't because they didn't have enough people. Once the person supposed to do the shower never showed up. Once a [name removed] person came in to the apt at 730 am for a wakeup service, but we never scheduled one. They told us when THEY could do their services (caregiving, showering, cleaning, etc.), not when WE wanted them to. Apt cleaner doesn't do a good job. Left multiple surfaces unclean. Is supposed to clean for 45 min. and she is only here 30-35 min. Spoke with her supervisor to request another cleaner, she said no.Multiple frustrations that add up to disappointment.

Was a terrible experience. Staff, especially administration lied about multiple things. Belongings disappeared.

I put my Mother into this facility after a series of hospitalizations. When [name removed] owned the facility it was wonderful. Since StoryPoint has aquired them it has gone completely downhill. I would not reccomend this facility to anyone looking for good care. The only person working there that is fantastic is the activities director.

This place is a hell hole to sum things up. You have a director [name removed] and a manager [name removed] who should be fired immediately. The don't want to work the employees are forced to do several job titles that isn't in the description of the jobs they post. There is no structure they are liars. They will lie to get to work. They don't even want to answer the phone. No on ever stays. This place isn't ran professionally at all. And they are wanting to collect check while sitting on their sorry asses. If you apply for front desk they want you to serve in the kitchen do duties of the front desk and clean rooms. While they sit in the office and whisper about the employees. I wouldn't let my dog live there. They are fake as snakes. I will be contacting their corporate office because the residents deserve better people to run this establishment they want lift a finger but want you to be a slave for a little of nothing. I'm seeing that corporate and the BBB investigate this place. And find place.

My dad fell many times with visible injuries, we were rarely contacted to report the incidents. They claim they have footage to share with families from technology in the rooms, but often said they didn't know what happened to him. A ton of staff turnover at all levels. Missing items that were purchased for him and his medical care never to be seen. Laundry not done, so we had to do it ourselves. 1 or 2 med techs for up to 14 residents in memory care and he was not given basic care that was medically instructed like cutting food or help with hygiene. My dad was taken out of the building alone with a man saying he was there to transport him to a dr. appt. We were never called to make sure he should be leaving without a family member attending. We would've never allowed that, ever and this appt didn't even exist. This just scratches the surface! My dad recently passed away and they never called to give their condolences. Unprofessional and frankly very sad after all we went through.

BEWARE!! My family and I visited StoryPoint about a month ago with my grandmother, and decided this would be the place for her. Long story short, the facility, which already met her, decided she needed almost more than double the amount of care to the tune of about $[removed] more than what was previously discussed day of move in. There were outstanding circumstances here, however all paperwork was sent to Storypoint 4-5 days in advance of the move. This was all sprung on us, after a 4 hour drive to the facility with movers in tow. After waiting in the "hospitality sweet", for more than 4 hours, we were finally approved to move in. Later in the day, after moving in, we were told we had the incorrect paperwork, and she wouldn't be able to stay the night at the facility. This story continues, and not in a good way, however long story short, we decided to go elsewhere. We decided we needed to go somewhere that had enough staff to facilitate the promises this company makes. To make things st

The longer a person stays the worse the care. The cooperation of administrative staff is ridiculous. At this point I would not refer someone to this facility

I am very disappointed to see a reputable organization like A Place for Mom would recommend this facility. We had my dad there for just over a year and had nothing but problems from medication errors, failure to clean the room properly (including leaving poop on the floor for over 24hrs), lying to us about sending out at urine sample, and the list goes on. They have extremely high staff turnover.. from the time my dad moved in till when we moved him out only 3 staff members are the same as the day he moved in. The current director brags in letters to the families about how she has hired 64 staff members in less than a year… how can anyone expect any quality or consistency of care with such high staff turnover!

They say they can take care of patient through the end-they told us when she was icome out of hospital to find a new place. They gave me no warning. I truly believe they committed fraud. Also one aide took a dislike of my sister. Where she is now, one of the aide told me she witness her being mean to my sister.

Once you get the tour and all the candy coated promises your loved one will receive and sign the dotted line you are screwed. The first 10 days mom did not get a shower and was told they're short staffed. Nobody seems to be organized or what's going on. She Needs help to the bathroom and waites up to 45 minutes on an average every time to get help. Sometimes she is left on the toilet for up to a 1/2 and hour and her legs go numb. We are constantly told they are short staffed. Seriously, When you are paying over $[removed] for one unit, times that by how many rooms and money they are receiving. Yes, the front desk is very friendly but many of the workers are short tempered, rude, impatient and leave her for long amounts of time when she needs help. Very disappointed especially when we are paying an astronomical amount for her to get good care. We don't expect perfection by any means and understand sometimes there will be hiccups but this place is horrible! DO NOT!

If you have families searching for memory care and their loved one has significant needs or may have occasional outbursts and issues with behaviors, this is not the place for them. They should not be advertising for memory care because the only aspect that is geared toward keeping someone safe in memory care is the locked doors. The staff and administration need significant education when it comes to patients with dementia and Alzheimer's. They are quick to label someone aggressive and will have you scrambling to find placement elsewhere as they will say they can no longer care for your loved one safely. My mother was found wandering the facility by my sister and no one even knew or cared where my mother was and she had lost a shoe in the middle of the floor and was walking barefoot! We were told the memory care was an assisted living memory care and the fact that my mother required assistance with showering, toileting and feeding that she required an extremely high level of care they could not provide for her. I feel like for those requiring memory care, those are pretty standard needs.

dad was placed there . first week was ok. then they wanted to commit dad to psych ward because of wandering and confusion. they called 911 and took him to emergency room without informing our family. Hospital released him because there was no reason for him to be there. Storypoint is understaffed , will not talk to our family regarding a care plan or where to place him and will not let him out of a year lease. I am out of state living this horrible nightmare relying on friends to help out.

Our family's experience was horrible. StoryPoint is a nightmare. We picked the site because they said they used the Sagely app to communicate with family everyday. After my mom moved in, the staff said they had never heard of Sagely. Indeed, they never actually used it. The staff turnover was so high, we only rarely saw familiar faces. They didn't have proper activities for memory care. The memory care staff had no training in memory care, and would speak to my mom as if she didn't have dementia. There's more. I thought I gave the feedback to a place for mom, but I'm not sure. At my mom's new place, their assessment cleared her for assisted living. She gets better care there, in AL, than she did in memory care at StroyPoint.

This was the worst experience of our lives. The staff are great, so are sales people, but it is all lies. They also are not financially honest. They still owe money back to our family. Do not put the people you love in the memory care facility. They will not be cared for.

Between my husband in Memory Care/Assisted Living and me in Independent Living, we paid Provision Living [fee removed] per month from late April through early November to live at their Crown Ridge facility in Walton, KY. During my tours in March and April, I was promised 24-hour on-site nursing in the facility, consistent supervision of my husband's taking of medications, the ability to complete on-site urinalyses for my husband as needed to check for UTIs, an on-site lab to complete such tests, assistance with my husband's cPap machine and meals that accommodated my gluten allergy. None of these promises were kept with any consistency. So, we left.

I have both, my Uncle and Aunt in this facility. Don't let the decor, big bright windows, and photo gallery fool you. My Uncle is diabetic; has never seen a dietician, and given pasta, potatoes, hamburgers with bread, and also sweet desserts! Diet pop for drinks. Yet, they don't forget to give him his insulin shots every day. Makes NO sense! I am told there is a physio therapist who comes once a week!!!! There are hardly any activities or entertainment like you find in other facilities. If you want such services you will be asked to pay more. Some of the staff members are nice, however, they don't seem to have formal training/certification in looking after such residents. They seem to be under-staffed, and this puts a strain on the staff members. Also, their Fall Prevention tech never worked for my Uncle, when he had couple of falls, and lay on the ground, till help came. His only pastime is watching TV. Do you wish to have your loved one in such a facility? Think twice!

My wife of 34 years was taken from me from our home of 20 years in Fayetteville GA. She went from freedom and health downward to isolation on a small floor, a room the size of a bathroom, which stunk when I first visited her. I wish I could upload my photos and videos. It's cruel and unusual punishment. I am getting a lawyer and hoplefull get an emergency injunction. I would recommend Brokdale in Hixon instead.They said they was her hair but they don't.

Staff didn't usually ensure residents privacy depending on situation. I had many resident tell me things .management said about me and things that were going on. Wait staff also do house keeping and some days are very busy. The staff would usually acknowledge residents when they saw them. You don't get care unless you pay extra for it. Salt was not spared in food prep despite older population many with salt restrictions. Or any other restrictions for that matter including allergies. They didn't have many I was interested in.
