My dad has been at Story Point for some time now. He complains about the lack of variety in the food. He is right, it's the same food day after day and the menu is not varied. My dad has walked into the kitchen to try to find a server. The servers are so untrained they don't know to bring silverware with the meal or offer water. The staff changes so often that it is impossible to get to know them and it impacts the continuity and quality of his care. NOT WHAT WE WERE PROMISED, BY A LONG SHOT!

Their Covid procedures were the biggest disaster. They never informed their residents what symptoms to look for. Had our loved one not casually mentioned one night at dinner that she couldn’t taste or smell, she never would have been tested. Other residents had symptoms and weren't getting tested. They completely isolated her for 3.5 weeks. No one was allowed to go into her room for any reason, so she had no cleaning, no laundry, and they put her meals outside her door in the hall. They told us if she went into respiratory distress she would have to call 911 herself.

Our loved one really likes the facility and the space, but with the pandemic there are still some limitations. The biggest improvement this community could make would be to have a consistent work force, there has been a pretty high turnover rate.

Communication from administration was poor

Provision Living is not as amazing as the sales director and other management present it to be. The nursing staff is so overworked/short staffed that your loved one will NOT be receiving the care that they deserve/are paying for. The executive director and director of nursing are incompetent and truly do not care what happens to your loved one they are simply there for a paycheck. Once it hits 5pm they sprint out of the building. The only reliable, caring staff of Provision Living have left, due to the lack of support from the executive director. They are unable to keep staff. Yes — the building is nice because it’s new but there is not enough housekeepers to ensure that the facility is getting cleaned properly. The turnover rate of staff is so absurd that it would make me genuinely nervous to recommend this place for anyone. I suggest looking elsewhere when searching for a place for your loved one.

The community is understaffed and unfortunately, some of the staff is just rude. The community was not good at communication between the staff and the families. We would call and not receive a response. I would not recommend the community to others.

My Mom has lived here for over two years, and says its, "Just ok... Not great." ( Her words). We had hoped this would be her last residence, but she calls every day and reminds us she wants to move to a place that has more cultural and , community activities. She would like a clubhouse, an auditorium, a swimming pool and unfortunately Story Point doesn't offer that. Her friends live at Friendship Village, which offers all those things and she is also interested in a new senior living facility opening i 2022 which is supposed to have all these amenities and more ( called Revel Creek at Heritage Community). We will make a decision, but were hoping there would be no more moving.

They are very understaffed, The room for my mom was fine. The food was good and they offered a great variety. I feel the care my mom received was not what I paid for. I would not recommend this facility to others

I have lived here for two years. These are my observations: 1. The elderly needs to be treated with respect and love and compassion. 2. This facility has gone down since we got a new manager: she gave all the beautiful furniture away to charity? and now we have bare hallways, etc. 3. She needs to make her friends, who she hired to work here do their jobs. 4. Fun activities director is great. 5. I am a firm believer about recycling but we don't do it here.

They do not have enough staff for the resident to staff ratio. The room sizes and layout of the community were good. My husband did not like the food. My husband was in memory care. They did have a secure patio for outdoor space for memory care. The staff was nice but they did not have enough to care for the residents properly. I would not recommend them for memory care.

This facility is getting older and it shows. Currently have a love one there and could not be more disappointed. Since COVID- things have just gotten worse. At a time when things are uncertain is we need our loved ones taken care of the most. We are now actively researching and hope to find a great facility. The food is horrible, the management does not seem to listen. We even tried to reach out to the regional director- he was useless and curt to us. Transparency is not one of their strengths. Seek other facilities in plano if you are looking. You pay too much money for what your not getting. Does not feel like home.

Small rooms. Low ceilings. Excellent pricing if budget is issue

I have lived at Story Point for 2 years and am hoping 2020 is a much better year than 2019. There were far too many changes and staff turnover. It's quite disheartening. My favorite workers are all gone. I believe it has to do with pay, as most of them left due to a poor working environment and low pay. Rent is quite high for the services we receive. Many of us miss the guest room that was available when this complex opened. It was promised as a perk for families who came to visit their loved ones here, but it was taken away so it could be sold as another apartment. It's always about the money here. We also miss the market that was at the front of the building. It wasn't taken care of, and is now just a messy space. My daughter-in-law is helping me look for another place to live, although I dread having to move again.

My father stayed here for about three months. While the facility was very nice and he loved the food, my dad often sat in the dining room for over an hour for each meal. I understand the desire and structure to have Seniors eat together and socialize, but for every meal was a little too much. Several dinners took 75-80 minutes to finish. While the dining room staff was always nice and polite, it was obvious they were short handed. Also, in the three months my father was there, there were a couple of management changes. I applaud the manager/director that was hired towards the end of April. She seems to have a true interest in making things (like meal time) better for the residents, unfortunately she was hired too late for my father.

Terrible! Would not place your loved one here. Communication between family and the many departments very much lacking. No one takes responsibility- can not get straight answers -

My mother-in-law is paying $5000 at this place, and she is being robbed. Someone stole her credit card and made purchases. They wrote checks out of her checkbook. They stole her most coveted stuffed animal. They are likely stealing diapers and cash, too but that one is harder to prove. They have been zero help and have not offered any reparations. This is elder abuse. I highly doubt she is the ONLY victim here

My parents are currently here and they are not receiving care as promised. They are extremely short staffed ([removed]) Caregivers are constantly changing, housekeeping is poor or non-existent, and food service needs improvement. One nurse serves entire facility. Look elsewhere!

The recent interim general manager seems to be trying to get things on the right track. However I think he is fighting a uphill battle. The place seems to have an ingrained poor morale problem. The first nine months were practically acceptable. Then several staff quit or retired at the end of the 2017. We were assured better days ahead. But in the past year, my relative has waited 1 to 1and 1/2 hours in the morning for an aid to help her out of bed and to dress for breakfast on a dozen occasions. And if you have to be helped to the bathroom during mealtimes the chances of a reply to a call light are slim. Request to transfer into a power wheelchair go unanswered bc new staff coming through the revolving door are not trained on residents’ specific needs. The quality of the food has declined. There are a handful of staff that really try hard. Housekeeping is very good. Maintenance average.

The admistration is awlful. [Name removed] takes lots of notes and does NOTHING to correct issues. [Name removed] thinks it’s daycare for her grandkid and husband, they have free rein to go back in offices and behind desk to hang out . More to the point what is their job! Paid for dad’s haircut the money never got to hairdresser , why? Smile to your face and then laugh behind your back! Lies is what [name removed] and [name removed] do well for Danbury! Can I move my father out earlier than lease due to lies and just plan miserable living? I also would like you to know the dinning room area is run or supervised by [name removed] who can be very cruel to seniors and those visiting or their to help seniors! So now the younger servers take her lead are are now disrespectful . Twenty eight years in business I could keep my doors open if I or any others are treated like Danbury treats visitors and folks paying the bills, the residents. I will be giving my notice an hope you can see yourself not forwarding fines for early termination of lease.

The independent living at Fountains is quite good. The dining room is beautiful and the food is very good. There could be more activities, but overall, it is nice. The Memory Care unit, however, leaves much to be desired in terms of physical space, and the staff has virtually no training in dementia care. They are good people individually trying their best, but the leadership of the Fountains has sorely neglected The Gardens memory care area. There was no activity director for over a month, and then the one hired seems to have no idea how to lead activities. The main area to gather is ridiculously hot in the summer. The dining room in the Gardens is nice and the food is good with dedicated staff.
