There had been a lot of changes to the building and staff . The kitchen is a mess. The menu is the same thing weekly. Shortage of food. Not paying attention to what is needed till it's to late. We pay a great deal for meals. The kitchen staff should let people know.

It definitely feels like family. The small, hometown atmosphere. Seeing residents active in the facility.

Great management group. Many activities for the residents. They have a great group of folks that welcome new residents and help integrate them into normal activities like meals, Happy Hour, craft parties, etc.

We were extremely satisfied with the overall experience. They took very good care of mom and loved her. The facility was clean at all times. And very bright and well lit throughout.

There was always aides around. The place was always clean and the quality of the food impressed us. My only concern was They had activities frequently and church service once a week, that [name removed] loved. Our only concern was [name removed] nice clothes got lost in the laundry or distribution process. She was often seen in clothes that didn't fit and 1 time she had on a blouse that was ripped all the way up the side.

My mother has resided at Story Point for over a year now. She doesn’t need much assistance, just someone to supervise her showers. The staff is very conscientious about this and is dependable on keeping a schedule. Her room is cleaned regularly. The food is mostly good. Staff turnover is the norm for this industry, and they do a decent job of handling it. Recently my mom had to be taken to her hearing aid place on short notice, and they were able to get it scheduled for the next day. It wasn’t a bus day, so the administrator took her. When I send emails to the administrator about something, I get an immediate response. They have good activities for MU mom to participate in. She is happy there, and it gives me peace of mind to have her there. The people who work there are always very friendly and helpful.

Staff is very helpful and friendly. One bedroom apartment is approximately 500 ft.². The best thing about it is it has two single door closets plus 1 three door closet.

The care was good, but I would tell others beware of attempts of frequent fee increases.

Atmosphere is great and [name removed] seems fine there. [name removed] room is small but he does not complain about it. I wish the location was closer to where I live but it's ok.

What we like the most about StoryPoint is the location, cleanliness and maintenance of the facility. Also they could improve on having more CNAs and staff fluent in other languages

Food as been hit or miss. High turnover. Activity director turnover has been high. Good one now. When he moved in they had a good cook and gave solid options. New management has been challenged with keeping a cook and offering options. Serving food hot can be a challenge too. Rate went up significantly after one year with no notice. So careful with that. Still reasonable overall.

The staff at Bayfield have been very helpful, extremely professional and are all customer-service oriented.

It's a lovely community and we were sad to leave. That was a bumpy start - the Activities Director was out so my aunt was unable to connect with people and become comfortable. And it took a while for anyone to welcome and introduce her to people and the experience. It's truly and independent living so if you need help and assistance it takes a little longer to arrive that we would have liked. There are many nice people working and living there and I felt that my aunt was in a safe and caring place. We are grateful:) I would encourage them to create a WELCOME WAGON committee that is filled with residents and staff to help new people become acclimated to the facility.

The entertainers and food are the best. Overall décor is excellent. Soundproofing could be better. Sawmill Pkwy can get noisy. We would definitely recommend this community to other families.

I really enjoy how friendly everyone here is and how they try to include new people. There are so many activities that it is hard to get moved in. I also am so that they allow you to have your pets with you.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The facility is being updated and be beautiful when finished. Apartments are very roomy.

I like the size of mom's apartment, the fact that they have a pool and a salon on site, and that she could do physical therapy on site when she needed it. I think they need to perhaps do a better job of orientation for new residents.

What we like the most about StoryPoint is that the overall appearance is good. I love that everyone there seems to know my sister's name and addresses her accordingly.

I had issues with them filing my long term insurance claims correctly and timely. It was a recurring problem. Other than that I have no complaints. It was a nice facility and yes, I would recommend StoryPoint to other families based on the experience.

Dining room is poorly organized as is the kitchen, meals sometimes take 1 and a half hours. Staff is personable but lack of serving help is part of problem. We always hope things will improve and it's up and down. Everyone says if the dining room was improved most of the complaints would disappear. I like it here but really think much of the employee issues are difficult to deal with and finding people for food servers jobs is a big problem.
